Dr. Coe joined our practice in 2012, and we feel lucky to have him as part of our dental team. Dr. Coe graduated from the Oregon Health & Science University in 1976. Dr. Coe has practiced in the Walla Walla valley for over thirty years and enjoys catching up with long-time patients as well as getting to know new patients. As a cherry farmer on the side, along with many other hobbies, Dr. Coe is always on the move.

Joining our Inland Family Dentistry team in January 2018, we are so excited to introduce Dr. Samantha Kofler. A Whitman College graduate, Dr. Kofler looks forward to returning to the Walla Walla valley. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, graduating with honors.

All Registered Dental Hygienists in Washington State must receive two years of state-mandated hygiene training along with at least two years of undergraduate work, pass a state board examination, and take continuing education classes each year to maintain their license. By providing education and hands-on training, our hygienists help patients manage their oral health and develop good oral hygiene habits. They also communicate with the doctors about your treatment and oral health and help develop a plan to keep you smiling for a lifetime.

Our dental assistants have graduated from a certified dental assisting program and are well versed in a tremendous amount of procedures, processes, and materials that they encounter each day in the clinic. In addition to assisting the doctor with patient procedures, assistants take X-rays, perform the sterilization of rooms and equipment, track lab cases, order supplies, and enter patient data.

Joining our Inland Family Dentistry team in January 2018, we are so excited to introduce Dr. Samantha Kofler. A Whitman College graduate, Dr. Kofler looks forward to returning to the Walla Walla valley. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, graduating with honors. While in dental school, Dr. Kofler researched genotyping for cleft lip and palate. She then entered a general practice residency program at the University of California San Francisco that focused on Hospital Dentistry, which emphasized caring for patients with complex needs in the dental clinic setting as well as in-patient and at-home. Dr. Kofler also studied advanced techniques for dental and maxillofacial trauma and dental implants.

Following her residency, Dr. Kofler was assistant clinical professor at the University of California San Francisco providing advanced training for dental school graduates. She also headed the Universitys participation in Project Homeless Connecta program that provides access to the most vulnerable San Franciscans to vital resources, including dentistry, throughout the city. Additionally, she taught pre-doctoral dental students who were on a Hospital Dentistry rotation.

For the past six years, Dr. Kofler has worked as a general dentist in California and most recently in Seattle, Washington. While not in private practice or with her family, she has also spent much time doing public health dentistry. This helped her brush up on her Spanish, which has enabled her to better communicate with patients who prefer to speak Spanish.

Her husband, Erik Kofler, is a resident at the University of Washington, finishing up his training in anesthesiology. Erik grew up in Walla Walla and attended Whitman College, which is where he met Dr. Samantha Kofler. They have two young children, Charlie and Carter, who keep them extra busy. In Walla Walla they have plenty of family who are anxious for them to live here full-time!
