Marilyn Betty Mathew, DDS, is a cosmetic, family, and general dentist at Ingleside Family Dental. At the practice in Ladson, South Carolina, she provides a wide range of dental services to patients of all ages.
Dr. Mathew earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Saveetha Dental College and Hospital in Chennai, India. She completed a general practice residency to gain clinical experience in general dentistry and had the opportunity to treat patients with oral cancer. While in India, she worked as a general dentist, performing extractions, crowns, dentures, and root canals. In 2008, she relocated to the United States and graduated from the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry in New York City. During her time at NYU, she participated in research studying oral cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV). Dr. Mathew is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA) and Coastal District.
Prior to Ingleside Family Dental, Dr. Mathew worked as a general dentist at several private practices in Wisconsin and South Carolina, treating patients of all ages. She is experienced in treating patients with special needs. Her attentive and gentle manner make her a leading dental provider in the Ladson community. Dr. Mathew stays up to date with continuing dental education, completing courses in a variety of dental areas.
Outside of work, Dr. Mathew enjoys giving back to her community and often volunteers by providing dental services to veterans and the underprivileged. Dr. Mathew also enjoys traveling and swimming, as well as singing, painting, and reading.

Dr. Mathews and her staff gave me the best dental experience I've ever had. I didn't realize how pleasant going to the dentist could be. Before Inlgleside I was reluctant to see my dentist. Thank you guys for the excellent work and friendly atmosphere. My confidence is shot up 100%!

Ingleside Family Dental has great staff and and are very welcoming! They know my name when I walk in and greet me every time. They are very understanding when it comes to your needs and they do everything they can to ensure that you feel welcomed and cared for. They work with my schedule to ensure that I can be seen.

I love coming to this office. The Staff is so friendly and professional. The office is beautiful! Dr. Mathew is a great dentist! Dr. Mathew is kind and caring. She explains all procedures to you and shows you the xrays.

Amazing staff and a super welcoming group of people!! I had an emergency and they got me in, in no time and with genuine concern. They also offer some amazing treatments that normally you would have to be referred out for, but not here. They do it all!! I highly recommend becoming a patient here if you ever need dental care of any kind !!

What a joke! This place has gone down hill! My insurance covers crown's and they have told me that they don't charge insurance for them.... But yet you are in my network! What a scam and my insurance agrees!!!! Coaxed I to leaving a good review months ago and now I am changing that! Again..... what a joke!

My first visit to this clinic was very pleasant. The staff there were very nice. My dental assistant was very sweet and gentle. Dr. Mathew was friendly, realistic and explained what problems she saw with my teeth and created a plan with tracking the priorities first and then the rest of the work that needed done. The front desk ladies were nice, friendly, and helpful. Overall atmosphere was calm and quiet. I feel confident that I have found the right place for my dental needs.

Edited review after realizing how horrible they truly are. Wonderfully splendid patient services. Dr. Mathew and staff are very thorough in their explanation of treatment and services and every single detail. Clean office and extremely friendly staff. I gave this office a 5 star review first time around but I have to be honest and admit that I was persuaded into leaving a review after my first two visits. It's all gone down hill from that. Once they get their 5 star review all of that friendly service stops and the hustling begins. I must admit I did need dental work done but my husband only needed teeth whitening and we were both given exorbitant treatment plans totaling almost $7,000 and in order for you to schedule your next appointment you're forced to prepay for it and my husband was sent a bill for over a thousand dollars for service our insurance absolutely covers. We stopped going here months ago and feel it's only right that we let others know what this place is really like after you've left a positive review all the nice customer service stops.

If you've never been to this dentist you're definitely missing out. I won't be going to any other dentist from here on out.... I guess you can say I've found my "home" ! All the staff members are very friendly and kind and treat you as if they've known you forever. Not only that ,the atmosphere of the office is very inviting and comfortable so when you put these 2 together it's and experience like no other! You almost forget you're at the dentist.

By far the BEST dental experience I have ever had. Every single staff member was so sweet and just all around wonderful. I got a cleaning with Mindy and she is nothing less than AMAZING! I can't say enough nice things about Mindy and how well she cleaned my teeth and talked me through everything she was doing that day. The dentist also was so nice and I'm so grateful that she talked me through my dental plan right after my exam. The office manager and front office ladies were so kind and amazing as well!

Amazing staff and beautiful practice!! They provide the utmost care to their patients. Mindy was able to help my son have a fun experience at the dentist. He is even excited about brushing his teeth so he can show Mindy how great he has been brushing at his next check up. Dr. Mathew does excellent work - great with my fillings and crowns. They turned out beautifully! Will continue to trust them for all dental work needed for both me and my family!

What words can we use to describe the experience we had at Ingleside!!! All positives and if there were more than 5 stars for the review, would definitely have given it!!! My husband had been having issues with this dentures for quite a while. He had consulted quite a few dentists to get his dentures corrected. All of them gave him different advices and all them quoted him bills in the thousands. Finally we got to meet Dr. Mathews. The first time we walked into the office we got a very good feeling. The office is a very well lit, very clean and most of all, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Then we got to meet Dr. Mathews. She is a very calm person and just talking with her, puts your mind at ease. She was very patient and answered all the questions and doubts we had about the dentures. The procedure she described and the cost that she quoted was also very reasonable. The best part is yet to come. Since she had to redo my husband's dentures (which was done horribly the first time at a different dentistry), it took many attempts to get it right. But she never once said that it was all she could do (which was our experience with the other dentists). In fact, she would ask my husband to go after a couple of weeks after each adjustment, to make sure he felt comfortable. And she continued doing it till my husband was FULLY SATISFIED!!!! I have never seen a dentist who has as much patience as her!!!! And Melissa at the front desk is always willing to schedule the appointment to suit our needs and with a smile! Thanks Melissa :) Dr. Mathews, you have a hard core fan in us!! Very highly recommend her!

Great Dental Practice! Awesome staff! And Ms. Mindy gives the greatest cleaning ever. She's been cleaning teeth for a long time and it's obvious she knows what she's doing.
