Dr. Prendergast is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He attends continuing education courses in order to stay current with the latest in restoration dentistry.
Dr. Prendergast is a native of Philadelphia and currently resides in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Prendergast is an avid sports fan and especially enjoys hockey. His other hobbies include gardening and bike riding.

At your first visit, you will meet our staff and fill out paperwork if you havent already done so. Dr. Prendergast will conduct a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth to determine the current state of your oral health. He will screen for common dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease.

I did not have a dentist and had a horrible toothache. I called the office and was given an appointment right away. Everyone was so helpful and nice in this office. Dr Prendergast explained everything he was doing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist

If no stars were available, I would of chosen that. They chipped my bottom tooth while cleaning it.i get my teeth cleaned every 6 months, take great care of them. I told them it was suddenly sensitive after the cleaning, they said it's normal. Next day a piece of my bottom tooth came off. I asked them to repair it, the dentist then tried to say it was a result of grinding my teeth, which I don't do and never have. They even did a test with the colored paper and it showed no results bc...I don't grind my teeth, much less my front teeth. They reluctantly fixed it for me, even tho their work only lasted 2 days. Then sent me a bill for repairing the tooth they chipped Never had probs with my lower front teeth until now. Don't do it, that dentist does not care about his patients at all and their customer service is terrible

My kids and I have been coming here for at least the last ten years, the hygienists are friendly, easy-going and keep you well-informed as to what you should and shouldn't be doing to stay healthy. Doctors have always been compassionate and kind and office staff are all terrific. Good place to go if you're afraid of the dentist, not scary in the least!

I moved 45 minutes away from Fox Lake while I was pregnant during Covid, and I have continued to come back to see Taylor and Dr Prendergast this year because of how thorough and understanding they are. They share exactly what they are doing each time, and I really enjoy the learning aspect of going to see them! I will continue to trek out to Fox Lake for my 2 cleanings a year! By far the best dentist ever! Super friendly, and caring people. My son had a root canal and he felt so much better afterwards. No pain, a little sore but that went away fast. Very impressed! Would recommend to everyone I know!

I have been going to Infinity Dental for almost 20 years. I started with the doctor previous to Dr. Pendergast. When she passed away I stayed because I love seeing Rich for my cleanings. And am so happy Dr Pendergast took over. Everyone on the staff has been great. Rich and Dr Pendergast are gentle, calming and great at communication. Definitely recommend!
