Dr. Bahn is a native of south central Pennsylvania and spent his entire childhood in that area. After graduating from high school, he attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA where he received his B.S. in Biology. Immediately after college he relocated to Philadelphia, PA to attend dental school at Temple University Dental School for the next 4 years. While at Temple he became more and more drawn towards pediatric dentistry and working with children. After graduating magna cum laude from Temple University Dental School he decided to remain in Philadelphia and complete a 2 year pediatric dental residency at Temple University Hospital Episcopal Division, which he graduated from in 2008.
He was first taught about and exposed to lasers in dentistry while in residency, but did not start to routinely use them until he was practicing. Over the course of a few years he continued to use the laser more frequently in practice and take more continuingeducation courses focused on its applications in practice. In 2012, he started to research more into breastfeeding struggles with newborns and infants. With the help and guidance of some great lactation consultants in the Philadelphia area, he started treating patients the following year.
Currently he serves as the Program Director for Temple University Hospital-Northeastern Campuss Pediatric Dental Residency Program. It is one of the largest pediatric dental residency programs in the country and currently consists of 20pediatric dental residents that receive first-hand exposure to treating newbornsand infants.
Dr. Bahn is a board certified pediatric dentist and also serves as a Board Examiner for the American Board for Pediatric Dentistry (APBD). He maintains active memberships with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and both the Pennsylvania Dental Association and Philadelphia County Dental Society.

If I could give Dr. Bahn and his staff more than 5 stars, I would. I called the office Tuesday for a consultation after my Lactation Consultant noticed a tongue tie on my almost 2 week old baby. I was in excruciating pain while nursing and my baby seemed to struggle while feeding. They got me in two days later! Within a minute of the consultation I knew I liked Dr. Bahn. His bedside manner is fantastic. He did an extremely thorough consultation, and answered all of our questions. He did the procedure immediately after the consultation and my baby was back in my arms feeding within 15 minutes. So impressed with our entire experience and baby is already nursing significantly better.

This was my second child who needed revision, and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Bahn. He's very knowledgeable about breastfeeding issues that can arises due to ties. His bedside manner is amazing and he's quick and extremely gentle with the infants. Very happy with our experience.

Dr. Paul Bahn took care of my son when he had a tongue tie that was leading to nursing issues at 2 weeks old. I called in the morning to make an appt and was seen that afternoon -- they took me on very short notice. Paul did a thorough exam and was extremely personable and professional which made the process less daunting. He went over everything with us before and after the procedure in a way that we could understand clearly. He also made it clear we could follow up with him with any questions or concerns. Working with him and a IBCLC helped us achieve our nursing goals. Would highly recommend.
