Dr. Lane is a Hoosier with a diverse educational background. She earned her Bachelor's in Psychology at Loyola University in Chicago. Next, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Lane completed her periodontal training at Indiana University School of Dentistry where she obtained her Certification in Periodontics, Master's Degree in Dentistry, and a minor in Oral Pathology. She served as chief resident during her residency and was a recipient of the prestigious Swenson Award, which is awarded to the top resident for excellence in clinical and academic performance.
Dr. Lane had two publications during residency: Complications Associated with the Placement and Restoration of Dental Implants, which was published in the Journal of the Indiana Dental Association. Her next publication has been accepted in the Journal of Dental Education.
Dr. Lane is certified to perform in-office IV sedation along with inhalation and oral sedation. As a recipient of the BioHorizons Scholarship for a periodontal resident, she received additional training in soft tissue grafting at the Pat Allen Soft Tissue Grafting course in Dallas, Texas.
All periodontists must complete an additional two to three years of specialized training in periodontics following dental school. However, some periodontists opt to take the board-certification examination, which is offered by the American Board of Periodontology. A dentist who becomes board certified in periodontology is one who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. This includes demonstrating a comprehensive mastery of all phases of periodontal disease and treatment and in the placement of dental implants. Board certified periodontists are required to renew their certification every six years.
I obtained my Dental Assistant Certificate in 2009. The first few years of my career, I worked chair-side and would spend part of my day helping with insurance and front office tasks. I gained a lot of knowledge and enjoyed working on the business side of dentistry. I made my transition to the front office full time and love it! I enjoy working with patients and helping them understand their treatment plans, how their insurance benefits work, and seeing their progression and change throughout their treatment!
My husband Keith and I have fourboys, KJ, Koby, Kaleb and Kyler. They keep us very busy with their sporting events (ball is life around our house) and activities! We enjoy spending time with family, and when weather permits, we spend lots of time outside! We also enjoy taking family vacations!
I began my career in dentistry in 1994 as a front desk assistant. I soon realized my passion for small business management and continuedon to dental office management for the next 12 years. In 2006, I transitionedto multi-office management and administrationand specialized in training dental operating systems and procedures. My passion for organization and customer service led me join Dr Lane's team in February 2020. Creating new systems for better workflow while helping patients get the dental care they need is a great feeling!
I began my dental career in 1982 as Dr. Koehlers dental assistant and earned my Associates degree in dental hygiene in 1988. Helping my patients regain their oral health is so rewarding, whether Im providing non-surgical periodontal treatment or simple oral hygiene instruction. Its been my pleasure to treat all the wonderful patients who I have gotten to know over the past 35 years.
I have two grown children and three young grandchildren who light up my life. My husband and I enjoy traveling, especially to Indianapolis Colts games. My sister and I are slow but long-distance runners. We have completed nine full marathons and several half marathons!
I earned my Associates degree in dental hygiene from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1974 and joined Indy East in 1983. I love the fact that hygienists can make a difference in patients lives while addressing their dental concerns and improving their dental health for a lifetime. As a hygienist, I get to see my patients every six months, which makes me feel like theyre family.
After searching through his schools vocational programs, Hunter found his calling in the field of dentistry and applied at International Business Colleges dental program. After 16 months of schooling, he graduated with an associate degree and became an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his friends, family, and significant other.

I followed Dr Lane when she was Chief resident at the dental school to her private practice. She has done 4 implants for my wife and I. Wonderful care very skilled implant placement. Have many options for care, We live in Columbus but drive to Indy East Perodontist for the excellent care. Highly recommend Vic Thompson

Always look forward to my periodontal cleanings. When there is a possible cavity issue they encourage you to have an outside regular dental exam.

Wow, there is nothing but great things to say. Everyone there is awesome. Very knowledgeable on the things they do. I do not know the number system they use but I know 6 is deep. They know their clients very well from what I see and hear and don't treat them like a number. Nothing but smiles and enjoyment with the things they do. A lot people do not like going to their Periodontist for cleaning and other procedures but I like this agency very well and the task they are skilled to do. I can go there and laugh and joke before and after my visit knowing that there are friendly Professionals at this agency. Dr. Lane and the entire staff are awesome at what they do each day at their office. I love when this agency assist me in keeping my teeth and gums healthy, I just have to do my part to make it easier with their assistance. Keep on smiling.
