Born and raised in Hendersonville, NC, Hasmi R. Patel, DMD is happy to be home in North Carolina and serving the Indian Trail community with complete, compassionate dental care. Her lifelong interest in dentistry began when she was a child when her father encouraged her to explore a profession that allowed her to balance work and family life, help others achieve better health, and incorporate her artistic abilities. Dr. Patels end goal was to become a respected doctor. She discovered that dentistry was her passion and the best possible professional path for her future.
Dr. Patel attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in biology. She continued her studies at the School of Dentistry at Temple University where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine.
After studying, living, and working in Philadelphia for eight years, Dr. Patel moved back to North Carolina. She is now a local dentist and the proud owner of Indian Trail Dental Studio, where she stays true to her mission in dentistry: to treat her patients with the same level of service and quality of care that shed want for her own family and friends. Dr. Patel regularly attends continuing education courses so she can expand and enhance the services she provides her patients.
When Dr. Patel is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She and her husband love exploring and traveling, and they always appreciate receiving destination recommendations from friends, family, and patients alike. She also enjoys watching movies and basketball (go Bulls!), staying active by trying new workout programs, and running outdoors. She looks forward to working as a local dentist and meeting new patients in her office each day.
Dr. Hysa has made a commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest dental techniques. He has expanded his skills and knowledge by taking courses in both implant and periodontal surgeries. The doctor graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University in Biology.
When asked why he chose dentistry as his medical field, Dr. Hysa said, I believe in helping people and that includes aiding them in achieving the best simple possible. At the end of the day, a smile is contagious, and everyone deserves a bigger and brighter smile on a daily basis.
After 13 years in North Carolina, Dr. Hysa considers the Tar Heel State his home and he has become an avid UNC Basketball fan. He also enjoys a good game of soccer and returning to the beaches of the Outer Banks where he spent a lot of time growing up. A firm believer in giving back to others whenever possible, Dr. Hysa volunteers for the Mission of Mercy Clinics and has traveled to provide dental care at a rural orphanage in Mexico.
Taylor got her start working in dentistry back in NJ where she worked front desk at a pediatric dental practice. I really fell in love with the field and was able to form bonds with the patients. I liked being able to make a difference in my position and so when I had to leave NJ and moved here, I was excited to start in a new office and join a new dental family! Taylor has now been with us for over a year!
Born and raised in the Caribbean, Davonnia learned from a very young age the importance of Dental Care. As she often recalls, My grandmother was adamant about brushing and flossing our teeth day in and day out. Her parents never prioritized oral health and after losing a great deal of her own teeth, she made it her mission to ensure that never happened to us. That routine manifested itself into being the path that Davonnia took for her career. She is currently completing all her prerequisites to become a Dental Hygienist.
Kelsey has been with our office since we opened in August 2020. Originally from West Virginia, Kelsey grew up in Lexington, SC and now resides in Monroe with her husband, 2 dogs, and is currently expecting their first child. She loves all aspects of dentistry and takes pride in helping people understand how their oral hygiene can improve their well being.

After several visits I have found the doctors and staff to be very professional, competent and considerate of the patient. They take time to explain in detail procedures and possible treatments. It would seem odd to say that my experience at the dentist went well but it did. I had to reschedule several times due to conflicts. So, my cleaning was a bit overdue. But, they were able to clean my teeth with little discomfort. The overall process was fast. And, all involved were exceptional.

I switched to this office after moving and I'm glad that I chose this one. I am very happy with my experience there. They took their time to explain everything they saw and made me feel comfortable with their care. The few questions that I had were answered well and straightforward. I started going to Indian trail dental studio earlier this year 2022. I agreed to have 2 CROWNS procedures. Tooth #12 and Tooth #3. crown cost $1500 each. I went back to the dentist twice before Apri 2022, because I was still having some soreness around #3. X-rays exam was completed l was told nothing was wrong, and the X-rays did not show anything. In May 2022 I went back schedule appt, because of the soreness tenderness unable to chew on the right side of my mouth. Now, the new #3 crown had to be cut out replaced with a temporary crown,took X-rays and X-rays shows negative everything looks good. We back in June schedule appointment to have the permanent #3 crown placed. Went back in late July because soreness scheduled appointment again took X-rays show negative. Called Dentist office August 28th spoke with Doctor Patel explained the soreness around #3, Called by in September 8th, still soreness scheduled an appointment for September 9th. Upon examination another X-rays, now I was told I needed a ROOT CANAL on #3. DAWN a brand new crown twice multiple trips to the dentist office within 6 months and now I got to spend another $1500. I am very unhappy and very frustrated.

From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left- this place felt like home! It was hard finding a new dentist, but Dr Patel made it very easy! She is so kind and patient. I love Dr. Patel as my dentist. She is a perfectionist! Her office is state of the art, from the tools she uses to the reminder text messages. The office staff is wonderful as well. It's been awhile since I've been totally satisfied with my dental care provider.

Being new to the area, this was my "new patient" visit which far exceeded my expectations. The office looks brand new, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and demonstrated the upmost of professionalism. The dental tech, Victoria, took all the x-rays and cleaned my teeth and thoroughly explained each step of the process. The Dentist couldn't have been more personable and explained everything in detail that required a follow up visit. Through all my relocations and having had countless dentists throughout the years, this office is by far a one of the best I have encountered and is a first class operation. I am so happy with them as is my wife who is also now a newly established patient.

UPDATE - 08/24/2022 I will be having a Periodontal cleaning to help restore the health of my gums every four months for awhile. Dawn is a caring Dental Hygienist. She asked questions before and after this procedure about my dental routine at home. She was as gentle as could be, while clearing out the pockets of my gums. And she encouraged me to continue using a water flosser in addition to regular dental floss to help reduce the impact of decaying food debris & aging dental work. Keeping my mouth as clean as possible is my goal. My thanks to Dr. H. Patel and the staff at Indian Trail Dental Studio. They're the BEST! I called late one afternoon, got an appointment for an exam w/x-rays the next day. The reception staff were kindly. I filled out the intake forms online, so they were ready for the work at hand. I hadn't been to a dentist for 5 years. Needless to say, I needed help, as I was in pain. Dr. Patel has chosen her staff wisely. Davonnia is very warm & caring. She escorted me to the exam area, took x-rays, reviewed my prior dental care. I met with Dr. Patel, we spoke about why I was there. We discussed two options for remedying the pain and my future dental care. We agreed on one, then I was introduced to her office manager - to discuss in privacy which payment option I had. The following day Dr. Patel performed a more extensive exam, a root canal, installed a temporary cap. Dr. Patel offers a reduced stress practice. No judgmental comments. Business is handled swiftly, with full disclosure of total cost of each treatment item. Being a senior patient, on a limited income, new to the area, finding this practice is a very good thing. I will be pleased to recommend Indian Trail Dental Studio to all that ask about my experience.
