I was raised in a small farming community in southeast Idaho, where I went to school and received my Bachelor of Science degree from BYU-Idaho. I graduated Cum Laude from Temple University School of Dentistry.
I love being a dentist in Erie its a great avenue for me to use my personal artistic and perfectionist side. The reason I studied dentistry is because I enjoy interacting with other people and working with my hands.
When Im not at the dental office, Im spending time with my wife and five kids. I enjoy being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. I also enjoy playing and watching all sports and just hanging out and barbequing with friends and family.

When not passionately focused on teeth I spend my time outdoors trail running, biking, and seeking the natural beauty of mountains and rivers. Before finding this special place, I grew up on a ranch in rural Florida, and then completed my undergrad studies at UF. After that, my journey took me the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. Then a few years ago I found a place where I could thrive, Colorado. Digital imaging enables us to see beyond what can generally be detected during a visual exam, allowing us to identify cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. Dr. Matheson can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, and assess damage when trauma occurs.
Timing of x-rays is tailored specifically to each patients needs. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50% less when compared to traditional methods. Digital imaging also provides patient images that can be quickly and easily transferred to specialists or insurance companies.
Dr. Matheson uses state-of-the-art dental technology to detect dental caries (commonly known as cavities) before they can be seen by the human eye. Using a small probe that that tests the enamel of each tooth, Dr. Matheson can detect decay in specific teeth before it can be seen in digitalimages.This allows Dr. Matheson to begin treatment before the effects of cavities become permanent, requiring the placement of a filling to treat.

Impressions Dental is by far my favorite dentist I have ever been to, right up there with my childhood dentist. And Dr. Bateman didn't even have to bribe me with toys from some toy box for being good or have an Nintendo 64 in her office to make me say that, which, let's face it, is cheating really. She is knowledgeable, kind, and amazing at what she does. She makes everything painless and quick and has ceiling mounted TVs with Netflix to distract you during procedures, which is such a good idea, it kind of blew my mind. She's so good, she has completely changed my opinion of North Florida (along with Lynyrd Skynyrd) and I am close to regretting any times I've made fun of it now. The office staff are amazing too, could not be nicer, and are incredibly helpful. I fully recommend Impressions Dental for anyone looking for the best possible experience at a dentist, and as much as I hope to only go there as much as I need to, I know that when I do, I'll be very well taken care of.

Impressions Dental is the BEST in Erie! My family and I have been in Erie for 12 years, seen several of the local dentists, and have been patients at Impressions since they opened. I have been with Impressions Dental for years now, and for good reason. Even when I lived in the mountains or down in Lakewood, I continued to see Dr Todd, Dr Bateman and staff. There is a sense of warmth and a family-feel when you walk through the doors. Bridget always greets me by first name and always nice catching up for a few about our families before the appointment. Leanne does my cleaning twice a year and I've always looked forward to seeing her. Dr Todd and Dr Bateman have always been honest and caring with their options and communication. Love love love Impressions!

Impressions Dental is a wonderful dental office. The staff is very helpful and professional. I have had extensive work done by Dr Todd Matheson and he is the best dentist I have ever had. He is caring and professional and he is a perfectionist in his work. I drive quite far to see him and he is totally worth it. Dr. Kelley is also very good in this office. I highly recommend Impressions Dental.

Dr. Kellie and LeAnne did a fantastic job of taking care of Mom on short notice. They were able to fit her into their schedule right away when Mom's old filling chipped off. Dr. Kellie and LeAnne cleaned up the tooth and area around the tooth to provide a temporary fix until Mom can come back in for a crown. They explained everything they were doing to help Mom feel more comfortable with instructions for further treatment. Excellent work and customer service!! Thanks so much ladies!

We LOVE Impressions Dental. When one of my daughters came in from out state, and had an emergency, we couldn't find any dentist who would take her. Dr. Kellie Bateman was working the front desk at that hour and answered the phone. She said to bring her in. First of all, I love a dentist who is willing to jump in and do whatever and work where ever it is needed. This speaks to the kind of team that is in this office. After treating my daughter, Dr. Bateman personally called to check on her. After this experience, we decided to try this dentistry out. They have not disappointed! The front staff is warm and welcoming. Coordinating appointments for SIX people can be daunting, but they continue to be very patient and through with me in doing so! The dental technicians are fabulous. They pay attention to details, are very knowledgeable and personable. I have severe tori and dental x-rays are always painful. This is the first time I have ever experienced pain-free x-rays. In addition, Dr. Matheson and Dr. Bateman are amazing! It won't matter who you see! As expected, we received an estimate on the work needed as a whole; then it was broken down into what was immediately needed and what could wait. The work done was superb. The doctor then personally reached out to check on us to see if there was any problems. If you need a good dentist, go somewhere else. If you need a great dentist and are seeking a family atmosphere where you can fit in, look no further.

Everyone at Impressions is wonderful, from the front desk staff, the hygienists to the doctors. I see Renee for my cleanings and she's awesome! She's always so friendly and wonderful to talk to. She does a thorough job on my cleanings and is very good about discussing treatment options with me. I would recommend Impressions dental to anyone.

The staff at Impressions Dental are amazing. I've been a patient here for almost two years, with routine appointments as well as other minimal dental work. I feel very comfortable each time I'm in their office. Dr Kellie and Dr Todd make me feel at ease and I know I'm getting the best dental care.

Everyone here is so friendly. I got there, was scanned for Covid-19 and was taken back right on time. My Hygienist, Le Ann is thorough but not rough. She is a pleasure to spend my cleaning time with. She's the best Hygienist I have ever seen.

I have been going to Impressions Dental since I moved to Erie almost 10 years ago. They have only improved over time! They have made it there job to constantly evaluate and make your experience better. They have continuity of care as you see the same dental hygienist each time. This really allows a relationship to form and they truly get to know you. Dr Kelly is amazing. I have had much dental work and her precision and perfectionism really stand out!
