I attended the Universidad Tecnolgica de Mxico, where I completed dental school and completed a research thesis and a year of dental community service in a regional hospital as well as six months in pediatric dentistry. Then, I completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Hospital Regional Ignacio Zaragoza, one of the largest trauma centers in Mexico City. Upon completion, I was invited to Chicago, Illinois, where I completed a two-year fellowship at University of Illinois in Chicago. After several examinations and after volunteering at Emory University as a research assistant, I was able to complete my U.S. residency in OMFS through the Charles Drew/ MLK/UCLA program, graduating as the best resident of the year.
I was fortunate to find a job in a wonderful practice in this beautiful city that I call home now. I truly enjoy practicing my specialty and helping patients and the community. I serve the community by taking trauma calls at Texas Health Care Harris Methodist and being on staff at Cooks Children Medical Center.
I was honored to be a director at large for the board of directors of the FWDDS and a part-time volunteer and faculty member at the Baylor Dental School. I currently volunteer for Save a Smile, Dental Health Arlington and participate in mission trips.
I have written several articles and presented lectures nationally and internationally. Besides my profession, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, reading and exercising.
