Dr. Neal Raval was born in Germany but now lives in the Greater Seattle area with his wife and two daughters. Dr. Raval attended school in both Germany and England. While in England, he completed his pre-dental and dental education in Oxford and then later at the University of Birmingham.
After graduating, Dr. Raval worked for the National Health Service in England and then moved to Germany to work with his father, who had inspired him to pursue dentistry. When he was a child, our expert dentist spent time in his fathers office and developed a passion for working with his hands. It was these experiences and his time in Germany (as an adult) that developed his passion for periodontal surgery, dental implants, and comprehensive dentistry.
Dr. Raval moved to the U.S. in 2009 and completed his residency in periodontics and implants at the University of Washington. He also attained a Masters in Dentistry by producing ground-breaking research that changed the way dentists perform implant dentistry.
Above all, Dr. Raval wants to educate his patients about the importance of oral health and how it directly impacts a persons overall wellness. Our specialist is always there for his patients to ensure you get the support and help you need.
I love spending time with my two girls. I make them breakfast, get them ready for school, and get them to bed every day. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and attending family events. We have a lot of family here in Seattle, so there is always a family function somewhere on the weekend.
When my daughter, Arya, was born. I had unfortunately suffered cancer at a very young age of 27. It was a very challenging time and it never really sunk in. The day my daughter was born, my life changed forever and I have never looked back. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it!
Dr. Stephan Kohnen joined Implants & Periodontic Specialists recently, relocating from Houston, TX. He is uniquely qualified as he has an oral surgery background and is also a specialist in periodontics.
He graduated from Tufts University in 1997 with his specialty degree in Periodontics being selected as one of the few international students to attend the three-year postdoctoral program in Periodontics and Implantology. Tufts University is known for giving its students the best education in the field of periodontal and implant dentistry.
Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Kohnen received his dental and oral surgery degree from the University of Menster, School of Dental Medicine in 1991. Continuing with family traditions, he became the third generation dentist in his parents family practice in North Germany.
After practicing in private practice in Munich as one of the first periodontists in Europe, Dr. Kohnen was recruited to lead the Surgical Department of the renowned dental and implant center, the CDC Kliniek, located in the Netherlands.
Dr. Kohnens dream has always been to return to America, and this came through when he received his green card through the Lottery Process. He started his journey in Houston in 2014 and then moved to the Pacific Northwest to join our team. Were thrilled to have him to deliver high-quality dental care.
While I originally set up my practice in Texas. After a few years, my wife and I realized the harsh and unpredictable weather of Texas wasnt for us. We visited the PNW and fell in love with the area how could you not? The opportunity to work alongside Dr. Neal Raval and the outdoors of the PNW was not something we could pass on. The climate in this area is also very similar to where I grew up in Germany.
Dr. Eddie Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to America with his family while he was in high school. His father worked in the airline industry and instilled the value of pursuing opportunities and exploring the world.
For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Lee attended the University of Illinois at Chicago. Upon graduating, the University immediately recruited him to continue as a researcher on novel anti-cancer drug therapy. Many of his findings laid the foundation for drugs used to help patients fight cancer today.
During dental school at Roseman University in Utah, Dr. Lee was astounded by the high number of periodontal cases. This lead him to pursue certification in advanced periodontics and implant dentistry at the University of Washington.
This is definitely a five-star organization, easily the most professional practice I have utilized in many years. They really work with you to fill all of your needs from deep cleaning to implants, all of which they have done for me.
I enjoy reading, hiking, running, cycling, and yoga. I spend weekends exploring all the Pacific Northwest has to offer and cheering on the Seahawks. Above all, I love spending time with my wife, Sophia, and our son, Christopher.

I completely recommend this office. Dr. Reveal is amazing and the staff is so nice and helpful! I drive from across the state and am so greatful the office always accommodates me. Love them all!

Dr. Lee and Gus were fantastic. I had gum grafting and so pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Lee. Everyone at the office is professional, friendly and compassionate.

I needed an emergency periodontal evaluation, and Dr. Lee saw me immediately, on a FRIDAY, to check out a problem molar. There was indeed a serious problem, and Dr. Lee and his assistant, Gus, stayed late, on a FRIDAY afternoon to take care of it. He pulled my upper left molar, a huge tooth with three deep roots. I am 71, and have anxiety issues around dental work, like many people, and trust me, this was my worse nightmare. Dr. Lee took an x-ray, and called my dentist to consult. They both agreed it needed to come out immediately, and Dr. Lee made it happen. And, he managed to make a potential horrible experience into something that was manageable. He took a lot of time discussing what the problem was, and why the extraction was necessary. He also took time to figure out the best way to handle my pain during, and after the procedure. Then, at 5:30, on a FRIDAY afternoon, Dr. Lee wheeled me out to help my husband get me safely to the car. Unbelievable. I had no pain by the next day, and the site healed very quickly. Dr. Lee is a remarkable human being, and a highly skilled professional. And, Gus is great too.

I've had a decent amount of oral surgeries/procedures throughout my life and Dr Easley is by far the best surgeon I've ever had! She's incredibly friendly and great at making you feel at ease in her office. I've heard nothing but positive things about the other doctors here as well. Every staff member I've spoken with has been super helpful as well. I had both a frenectomy and a gum graft here. Would definitely recommend both their Issaquah and Bellevue branches (they all seem to work back and worth between the two, so no real difference) to anyone needing to get some gum work done!

I became a patient of Dr. Raval when he was a student of dentistry at the University of Washington. He placed my implant about 5-6 years ago, while he was still in college. Throughout the years, Dr. Raval has always met me with professionalism and a smile. I truly enjoy visiting him because the customer service is top notch! I will continue to have Dr. Raval care for my implant and any other specialized dentistry I may need in the future. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs specialized dental care!
