Dr. Baker graduatedCalifornia Polytechnic State University with a degree in MechanicalEngineering. He then attended Dental school at the University of Washington and went on to receivehis post graduate degree in Periodontic Surgery.
Dr. Baker prides himself in listening to each individuals dental needs and coordinates care that is right for that patient. Dr. Baker takes into consideration issues that make dentistry difficult such as, dental fear. Dr. Baker and his staff are exceptionally compassionateand care about each patients needs individually.

Dr. Baker and his staff performed 3 extractions and installed 2 implants for me in the past 4 years, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The procedures were pain and hassle free. Everyone there is professional, friendly, compassionate, and confidence inspiring. Costs to the penny are laid out ahead of time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing their help. Good place to do business with.

Really made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Baker is an amazing surgeon. One of the best I've had. I asked for some ZZ Top to be played and sure enough, he played the music. I could thank them both enough. Highly recommended for anyone who is on the fence about dental surgeons.

I had an appointment with my doctor on a Friday but got called saying she was sick and wouldn't be seeing patients. My back wisdom took was in extreme pain and cracked and I was unable to sleep, eat anything. My mom (god bless her) called that Friday morning to any emergency dentists in Bellingham and was able to get me into see Dr.Baker. I went right in after they said they could see me and got an Exray done. With that Dr. Baker said he would extract 3 bad teeth for the price of one!! I was elated because that was saving me money! I would recommend this Dentist to anyone that is to ask! And also his assistant Jill she was amazing making sure my blood sugar was ok (I'm a type 1 diabetic) and explaining everything out to me!! Thank you guys so much!!

My 18 year old son lost his front tooth when he was 10 (skateboard to the mouth). He's a first-year student at Western, in his first few weeks, and the tooth came out. He felt really self-conscious. This all happened on a Friday. Dr. Baker got him in that day and took care of his temporary tooth and then set him up with a colleague who makes the longer term lab-version of the tooth. This guy went out of his way to support my son and follow up over a weekend. Top customer care!

Dr. Baker and staff are the best. He took the time to listen to my concerns about my teeth, made me feel very comfortable. There was NO pain or discomfort after my implant, I would recommend Dr. Baker over and over

The prospect of a tooth implant was highly anxiety provoking. However, the actual process went seamlessly from beginning to end, with minimal discomfort. A one year check showed a tooth, indistinguishable from the real thing, permanently embedded for a lifetime. I am thankful for and confident in the expertise and professionalism of Dr. Baker and his staff.

EDIT: WOW. I received 2 palliative injections for that appointment, you don't exactly forget those. The hygienist applies the topical with a cotton swab and I remember thinking it was strange she wasn't doing that, there was no cotton swab. I'm beyond disappointed by your response. Just awful Dental hygienist gave me 2 palliative injections WITHOUT TOPICAL NUMBING. It was incredibly painful and I ended up having a panic attack and sobbing from the pain it was so bad. Afterwards I had to run down to my car so I could keep crying I was so upset. When I returned several weeks later for a post perio check-up to see how the cleaning worked a different hygienist told me the previous one had written in my appointment notes that I had turned down and never received the palliative injections. SHE LIED ON MY MEDICAL RECORD. I was also told they always give numbing for palliative injections but I guess my hygienist just didn't feel like it with me. I will never ever go back.

Having a tooth extraction from Dr. Baker was the worst dental experience I have ever had - the most brutal extraction with zero empathy. I can only imagine that he didn't have time to do the procedure and instead of saying so, he went forward with a rush job. He did not use any prenumbing ointment on my gums before ramming the needle into my jaw and without waiting one minute continued to jam the needle into my gums over and over. I was not offered any nitrous even though it was available. I told him the experience was brutal and that other dentists used techniques to reduce the pain. His comment was that he supposed he could have drug it out to last longer. I was sent home without any post op instructions and ended up developing a dry socket. After suffering with pain for a week that kept me from sleeping at night , I went to my own dentist who resolved the bad situation with my traumatized gum. And when I left her, I received complete post op instructions. I would never return to Dr. Baker and would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Baker and his staff are amazing as usual. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first implant. I've had 3 by Dr. Baker and hopefully I won't need anymore but if I do, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had a great visit when I went to see Dr. Baker to resolve some gum related issues. He provided some treatment options and suggestions on how to prevent further issues. The staff was nice and efficient. I would certainly use him again.

Not gonna lie, I was super anxious about my surgery and got a little snarky with the receptionist (I apologized afterward), but Christina, the hygienist, took really good care of me, and made me feel at ease. Dr. Baker was fast and numbed me up real good so the entire surgery was painless. He also made sure I had a good post-op pain control regimen. They also let me pick the music. I chose Bossa Nova because it felt like it would have good "oral surgery" vibes. 10/10. A++! Thanks y'all!

Today was the first time my son left a dental office with a smile on his face! My son has had braces on for 5 years and we have worked through different steps to try and correct his underbite. His orthodontist had recommended TADS anchoring devices, so we had the surgery done in Skagit County and it was a terrible and painful experience. We walked out of Dr. Baker's office with a plan that my son felt happy and confident about. We felt heard and cared for. I can't say enough about Dr. Baker and his team. Thank you all!
