Dr. Shanthakumar received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2016 from the internationally recognized Texas A&M University. He completed his training in Periodontics and received his Certificate in Graduate Periodontics in 2019 from Oklahoma University.
In addition to his specialty certification, Dr. Shanthakumar obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Oral Biology from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Shanthakumars thesis defense was focused on Analysis of Maxillary Sinus Anatomy as it Relates to Sinus Augmentation Using Cone Beam Computed Tomography.
A native of the Dallas / Fort Worth area of Texas, Dr. Shanthakumar cheers on His Alma Mater, Texas A&M University in all sports, Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoys reading and playing basketball when hes not devoting his life to his passion of periodontics.
