Samantha J. Hughey-Wence, DDS Dr. Samantha Hughey-Wence attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she obtained a Bachelors degree in biochemistry. She attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry, from which she graduated in 2015 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. She constantly studies on new advances in the dental field to stay abreast of the latest treatments and techniques, and has completed advanced training in Invisalign. She is also Gerety Orthodontic Braces Certified, and is enrolled in advanced training with Hiossen Dental Implants, and has actively been placing implants for the past year. Dr. Hughey-Wence is a native of middle Tennessee. She spend the first few years of her life in Lebanon before her family moved to Gallatin, where she was raised and attended school. Both of Dr. Hughey-Wences parents are nurses, so she was drawn to the healthcare field growing up. She has an identical twin, Jessalin, and a younger brother, Jake, who both live in the area. Dr. Hughey-Wence got married May of 2020 to her husband Cory, who is a native of Lebanon and is a subcontractor. Dr. Hughey-Wence is a member of the Southern Barre gym in Hendersonville. She enjoys being outside, playing with her German Shepherd.
Candace Gallowitz, DDS Dr. Candace Gallowitz joined our practice in June 2021. She is originally from Dyersburg, Tennessee. She attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2015. Dr. Gallowitz received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, in May 2021. Dr. Gallowitz and her husband got married in 2019, and they have one fur baby together named Luck. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, watching rom coms, crafting over the holidays, going to the lake, and spending time outside with her husband and dog.

Michelle McLane Hygiene Coordinator Michelle has been with our team since September 2016. She loves talking with our patients and getting to know them, and helps our patients to feel welcome in our office. She also makes sure that our schedule flows well throughout the day so that we can provide optimal patient care.Michelle and her husband of 30 years, Matt, have one daughter named Jessica. In her spare time she enjoys walking and spending time with her new Goldendoodle, Murphey.
Paige Zajac Front Office and Dental Assistant Paige went to school in Franklin, Tennessee, graduating in 2015. She has been with our team since 2017. Paige makes our patients feel welcome in our office, and enjoys being around people who care about our patients and who like being in the dental field.Paige married in 2018, and outside of the office enjoys hiking, swimming and spending time with her family.
Anita Stilgenbauer Registered Dental Hygienist Anita graduated in 1980, and has been part of our dental team for over 25 years. She loves that so many of her patients feel like family and friends, and loves the doctors she works for and the team she works with. Anita loves watching the process of a patient who hasnt been to the dentist in a long time improve their dental health, smile and attitude towards us and towards dentistry. She always strives to do her best for each patient she meets.Anita and her husband, Ryan, have been married for 38 years. They have a son and a daughter-in-law. Anitas hobbies include lake life, skiing and her westie Sophie.
Tara Levering Registered Dental Hygienist Tara graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2003. She has been with our team for 14 years. Tara enjoys working with a wonderful group of people, and absolutely loves what she does.Tara has been married for 34 years, and has three children and three grandchildren.
Rachel Laski Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Ive been in dentistry for over 18 years now. I enjoy fitness and love working out with my husband. I am also a huge dog lover. We have three dogs, two are Boxers and one is a Frenchie. I love my family, God and a good cheeseburger.
Sky Fuqua Dental Assistant Sky joined our team in August 2019 after graduating from the Dental Staff School of Tennessee. She comes from a big family and she always looks forward to spending time with them, especially her nephew, Ellis. She also likes to spend her time hiking with her dog.

I have been coming to Imperial Dental since Dr. Wilhoit owned it and that is long before Dr. Wence came into the practice. Tara has been my hygienist since the start and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is gentle and works around the nerve condition that I have that impacts my mouth and gums. Samantha Wence is the same. I hope I always have Imperial Dental to come to.

The staff at Imperial Dental are so wonderful !! Anita is the hygienist who did my deep cleaning. I was so terrified and anxious but she took away my fears with her kind and caring demeanor. Dr. Wence is also caring as well. I just moved to Tennessee from out of state and appreciate these great women making me feel so welcome . The lady at the front desk is also awesome and has a great smile! I definitely recommend this place .

I had a root canal a few years ago and Ive had trouble with it ever since but all they would do is give me antibiotics and it never got better, only worse. They wanted me to pay to have it fixed and I can't afford it but I believe they should have done it for free and now I can get dental floss under the cap. I've also still have pain with other root canals they have done and they never do anything.

My husband and I both come to Imperial for our dental needs. They have always been super helpful and accommodating. I can't brag enough about Mrs. Anita! She is so outgoing, and makes you feel comfortable from the beginning. I would totally recommend this practice for anyone looking!

I had a root canal done here and the cap popped off 2yrs later. When they looked at what was left of my tooth it was decayed and very infected! Another cap they put on wasn't even sealed properly. And on of my fillings just fell out.... I didn't leave a negative reviews after many issues I had getting work done at this dentist. But as I sit here looking at my BLACK gums and tooth I have no choice but to NEVER recommend this dentist to anyone! The girls that work there are very nice tho.

Amazing experience. I feel so lucky to have found Imperial Dental. Everyone there is wonderful. My Hygienist (Tara) was magical, and went to the greatest lengths to get my (way overdue) mouth into great shape. I know it sounds unusual to think of visiting the dentist as something that would put you in a good mood, but after years of struggling with mediocre hygienists, and Corporate Dental Money Pits that are only interested in the "up sell" to overpriced services that should just be a matter of course, I was transformed into such a good mood after my visit. And I truly look forward to my next visit. Thank You Imperial!!!!!!

Sooo... I'm the biggest baby when it comes to the dentist. I'm pretty much terrified anytime I have to step foot in any dental office. However, ItsI been awhile since I had my teeth cleaned. I can't say enough good things about this place... I'm from Dallas and this clinic made it easy for me to get in since I travel the road with bands. Tara was the one that cleaned my teeth and normally this is a 30 minute procedure. However, my needed extra attention and Tara spent over 2 hours making sure my fangs looked glossy white again!! This place has me hooked and I actually can't wait to get my teeth cleaned again!! For helpful and friendly staff that actually care for their patients and take the time for them!
