Dr. Mayuga was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City for undergraduate studies and later received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1995. Upon graduation, he was selected to complete a one year General Practice Residency at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. During this time he received advanced training in general and hospital-based dentistry while treating a broad range of cases and medically compromised patients. He spent six months training in various medical disciplines. After the completion of his residency, he began practicing in Gardner at the end of 1996 when he opened Imagine Dental. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association Fifth District.
Dr. Mayuga feels it is very important for every patient to have an outstanding experience. He values the long-term relationships he has made over the years with many patients and families. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and in particular working with fearful and anxious patients and helping them overcome any barriers to dental care.
Heather began working at Imagine Dental in 2002. She works primarily in the front office with administrative duties but also has training as an assistant working with Dr. Mayuga. Heather can assist you with your visit and any treatment, financial or insurance questions.
Lori grew up in Emporia, KS. She attended the University of Kansas, Emporia State University, and Wichita State University where she attained her degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing at Imagine Dental since 2003.
Maria grew up in Olathe. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from JCCC and practiced at the Kansas City-VA Medical Center for 9 years before joining the Imagine Dental Team. She currently resides in Gardner with her husband and 2 children.

I have been going to imagine dental for 18 yrs plus. I'm actually surprised there were very few reviews. Dr. Mayuga and his staff are the best!!!!

I have been going to this dentist office for over 15 years. I have never had an issue, always friendly and i have had the same my dental hygienist ever since i started going to see DR. Mayuga, so you know he treats his employees just as good as his patients.

I started going to this dental office when we lived in Gardner. I don't like going to the dentist, so I can be pretty picky. We moved to Lenexa a year or so ago, but I have continued to go (and take my kids) to Imagine Dental. They are very upfront about what is optional and what is necessary. I would recommend to a friend.

Had a great experience here. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Jamie the dental assistant was great. She explained everything about my upcoming procedure and told me to call for any questions i could think of.
