Vonda Roby has been a registered dental assistant for several years. Vonda has a strong desire in helping others in need, especially her patients. She believes in the importance of educating patients on their dental needs as well as preventative care. She is very active in her church and believes her passion in life is to live a life of love and peace. She also values her family and friends. I want them to know that they are never alone and life is never hopeless. Vonda enjoys spending time with her family and her Church. She loves to travel and to experience different cultures.
Danielle LaToof has been a dental hygienist for over 10 years. She has a wonderful husband, Thomas, and three beautiful children, Thomas IV, Theron, and Drake. She enjoys spending time with family, crafting with her children, gardening, and watching movies. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is patient education. She likes knowing that she has helped patients better understand the importance of oral hygiene as it relates to their total health and well-being.
A mini schnauzerjoined our office after attending Barkford University for his Sit and Stay Degree, where he graduated at the top of his class. Since then he takes pride in making sure our office is running smoothly 100 percent of the time. Despite all of his office responsibilities, Teddy always takes the time to keep our patients happy. Its what he enjoys the most, and he takes it very seriously. In fact, he is known to lose sleep at night if he feels he hasnt satisfactorily made each and every patient feel special in their own way. Dedicated to continuing education, Teddy is currently attending courses in Rollover and Bang Bang.
During his free time, Teddy enjoys sunbathing, playing fetch, spending time cuddling with human family and friends, and taking strolls around the neighborhood. He has perfected his skill sniffing out treasures under the furniture, as well as alerting the family when the mail arrives.

I always feel like am the most important patient when i have an apt at Illume. Dr Chen makes you aware of problems she identifies and always explains options available to decision your treatment. If you need a top notch dentist and staff who really care about you then book your next apt at Illume.

Not surprised with so many stars on the testimonials! I felt very welcomed, well informed, and the level of practice is very professional. Their up to date technology equipment quickly empowers Dr. Chen and her trusty team of dental assistants and hygienist. I strongly believe and agree with studies, our teeth play an important role in our overall health, it's an investment that should not be avoided. I also strongly believe if I continue my routines visits, I will learn more about the health of my teeth and gums which will make me even more confident with my smile. Keep Smiling!

As an adult with children now, I've never been to such a positive dental office. We actually moved our son to Illume Dental because his last place was so pushy, and my kid hated going there. Now, he loves Dr. Chen and the rest of the staff. Thanks guys!

Today was my new patient appointment with Dr. Eileen Chen. I have not been to the dentist in a few years, so I needed a complete check-up. From the first step in the door of this beautiful new office and meeting with Christine (the office manager) I felt at home. Next came my pano X-ray done by Vonda (the doctors chair side assistant). All the equptment is new and the office is spotless. Vonda took some X-rays of my problem areas as well as all my teeth. Dr. Chen came in and we talked about my problem teeth. She has a great personality and made me feel very welcome. She took some photos and checked all my teeth. She explained everything to me, and I am following her directions. I have found the dentist that I want to use for my wife and me. Dr. Chen as well as Vonda are a great team. They are smart, friendly and very knowledgeable. Stop off and meet this great team. Aug. 13th 2020 DENTIST - Illume Dental on the corner of Collin McKinney and Lake Forest. This time it was my wife's time to go to Dr. Chen to get a cap on a broken tooth. From the time you walk in and see Christen the receptionist till you see Dr. Chen and Vonda you will have a very pleasant visit. Dr. Chen and Vonda the chairside assistant work as a team to make your dental visit as pleasant as posable. This trip as before was totally painless. This is the cleanest, best equipped office as well as the most knowledgeable team we have ever experienced in our 70 plus years. Sept 29, 2022 Well, I waited two years to go to the dentist due to Covid. I had 4 cavities and Dr. Chen did a great job as always. I was in the chair for two hours. Two of my cavities were below caps. I have no pain at all. She is the best. Illume Dental at the address in my previous review. We are lucky to have found her.

She told my husband he needed a root canal, did no sort of cold test or anything. We went to a new dentist who did a cold test and found out the tooth is very much alive and all that was needed is a crown. She also tried to push x-rays on me when my last one was not even 12 months old and gave me no reason as to why getting x-rays done 2 times in one year would be beneficial to me at all. Bad experience for my both, my husband and I. Response for your reply: You gave no reason why i would need another xray 11 months after my last one. It was not 6 months like you say is recommend in your reply, it was not 3 months. Also you gave no reason as to why i need it when I expressed that I would rather wait at least a year. You told me and I quote: "well now its just weird so we wont be able to do your cleaning." Then I told you i was going to have to leave a review because this is a horrible experience AND I took the day off work for the cleaning and when you heard review you instantly said: "well, I guess if you want it we can do it..." Of course I would rather not have you work on me after you just made it such a horrible experience. I guess if a review is mentioned you will do what is needed and if not you try to force services on clients without educating us as to why its beneficial for us, even when we say we dont want it.

I fel like I am with family when I visit Illume. The love and care that the staff provide is awesome. They always explain options and te patient decide based on options available for treatment. Make Illume your go to place for dental care.you will never go anyplace else!!!!

Doctor Chen is by far the BEST dentist I have ever received service from. She is so kind, gentle and informative. I have never been to a dental office and felt so relaxed and comfortable. I use to dread going to the dentist because most doctors are rough, they treat you as another number. But not here at Illume dental, from start to finish she checks in to make sure you are receiving quality painless service. Dr. Chen also checks in with you the next day to see how you are feeling or if there is something she could assist you with. I have never had any doctor follow-up after a procedure. I also have never been to a dentist and not have discomfort after the numbness wears off. I seriously haven't had any pain during or after care with her. My root canal went smooth! Her team is so sweet and kind as well. Very friendly and patient. I would recommend her and her team a thousand times over. She will forever have my business! Thanks for all you do.

Dr. Chen and team are nothing short of amazing. By far the best dental experience I've ever had. Dr Chen literally maps out your teeth and guides you tooth by tooth and points out the good, the bad, and the ugly as well as providing a game plan for each. The staff is equally as amazing. They all are a fun timr having, hilarious force hell bent on making your smile the best it can be. You will leave Dr Chens office with a degree in smileology from Chen University. I tried leave a 7 star review but the secret code didn't work.

Everyone here is so pleasant and actually care about you and your dental health! For the past 20 or so years I've been to just 2 other clinics and did not get the same vibes from the others. Ladies, my husband is next up in your chair! I know you will all take good care of him.

This was my first visit to a dentist in a long time. I have to say, this office is top notch. Every single person there is exceptional. I couldn't have found a better dentist. If you're looking for a new dentist or to have work done, I highly recommend Illume Dental of McKinney. And a big thanks to everyone there who made my experience so great.

I been looking for a dentist for a long time and was having trouble finding a good one until I went to Illume dental. First appointment at Illume dental was Phenomenal, Cozy and friendly environment with superb service. They were extremely personable and very professional. Dr Chen is an amazing dentist. They took the time to explain every procedure they were doing. Great dental visit! Went in for annual cleaning and x-rays. They did an awesome job.
