Dr. Jacob Lake, DDS Dr. Jacob Lake is the founder of the Illinois Dental Center and the Smile Maker Dental Center. Dr. Lake has practiced dentistry in Illinois for over 30 years and has been featured in the 1998 edition of the Who's Who book as a distinguished dentist. Dr. Lake is experienced in a wide range of advanced dental procedures and continues to obtain specialized training in the latest and most up-coming technologies. Dr. Lake is a father of three and a grandfather of four children.
Dr. Navid Kia, DDS Dr. Navid Kia graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1995. Dr. Kia is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Helena Ruderman graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Ruderman believes in preventative dentistry and in providing you the best possible treatment that you truly deserve. Dr. Ruderman speaks English, Russian, and Polish, and likes to spend her free time traveling with family.
Dr. Oksana Semeny, DDS Dr. Oksana Semeny attended dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Dr. Semeny is a member of the Chicago Dental Association and speaks fluent English and Russian. Dr. Semeny has ten years of experience treating complex teeth and creaking dentures. Dr. Semeny has previously worked in a dental pediatric office and works great with children.
Dr. Lakshmi Uppala, DDS Dr. Lakshmi Uppala graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago- College of Dentistry. She was an honor student at UIC and received the Dr. Kamlesh Amin Scholarship award, Dr. Leslie Braun award, and was nominated to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Society. She likes painting, dancing and loves spending time with the family during her free time. She speaks English, Hindi, Telugu, and Spanish.
Dr. Yevgen Tkachuk, DDS Dr. Yevgen Tkachuk is from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. He received his undergraduatedegree in Biological Sciences (with Highest Honors) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Following a bachelors degree, Dr. Tkachuk received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago graduating in the top of the class. Dr. Tkachuk enjoys practicing every aspect of General Dentistry and believes in the importance of establishing a long-term doctor-patient relationship with his patients. Dr. Tkachuk partakes in continuing education in order to provide the most effective and efficient dental care in a stress-free environment. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Tkachuk enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as working out, biking, and traveling. Dr. Tkachuk is also fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, and is actively learning Spanish.
Dr Kubra Atici, DDS Dental problems are preventable, in most cases, reversible, if the fundamental causes of diseases are addressed with a whole body approach. Oral cavity is an access point to our bodies, providing several clues about a patients overall health if interpreted correctly. Evaluating my patients dental symptoms with their blood work results, providing nutritional instructions supported with vitamins and probiotics are essential part of my general practice. I have a PhD degree in Periodontics, and have published five peer reviewed scientific articles. Based on my research background, I evaluate every patient as a unique case to customize treatment options based on his needs. I always enjoy to educate my patients in terms of diet and hygiene habits to improve their overall health and the clinical outcomes of my treatments. A general dentist must update his knowledge and skills to deliver the best treatment to his patients. Attending workshops, hands on courses, and dental meetings help me keep up with the latest technologies and treatment models, such as laser, implant, and surgical procedures. I treat all my patients like a family member. I am fluent in English and Turkish.
She is very passionate about her dental career. Yuliya enjoys interacting with her patients and her goal is personalized dental care to each and every one of her patients. She provides professional dental hygiene treatments and encourages your personal attention to effective oral health habits.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends as well as traveling, cooking, trying all the new restaurants in the city, and spending time outdoors whenever possible. Yuliya is fluent in English, Russian and Polish.

Just called this placed the receptionist is rude and make me feel as they didn't want me as a patient. There are plenty of dentist around pretty sure can find something better.

I like this place, the equipment is not state of art, but thay will provide high quality care for you. The doctors are nice and knowledgeable, I would recommend this place to everyone.

the dental professionals at this location are good at their job, however, the same could not be said about the receptionists. they are very rude and uncooperative. When I was trying to transfer my X-rays to another dental clinic per their request, receptionist Irina spoke to me in a very rude tone and kept interrupting me, it sounded like she was doing me a favor by sending me these x-rays, I started feeling very uncomfortable and just gave up on the whole conversation. This location should consider hiring more courteous staff that are able to treat their patients with respect and professionalism.

They have good doctors.But girls on the reception are not nice!!!. They told me that the doctor will not start work until I pay $ 450. I have insurance that they also use but then. They did not want to wait until insurance paid .Julia does very painful cleaning !!!!!I cried in pain. If employees read this then I will be glad. Do not treat customers like that! I do not recommend going there!!!!Oksana S.

Great experience. Front desk staff is always really friendly and helpful. I've had my braces done here and many cleanings. They remind you when to come in every 6 months. Satisfied after each visit. You can tell they are passionate about their work.

My mom went to this exact location to get dentures and they made them entirely to wide and they look extremely buck tooth. She's also been having major tooth aches ever since her visit. She paid more than 2,000 for this procedure and it was a waste of time and money. That pain is too much for her age and we regret coming here.

Horrible place, Horrible People. Both Receptionists barely speak English with Heavy Russian accent, who screwed up my appointment and got me into argument with turkish lady dentist who also got very nasty with me, Blaming me for the schedule that Russian receptionist messed up. DO NOT COME HERE!

When I visit the office I felt that I was back in Ukraine or Russia, and I mean the look of the office, equipment is outdated and everyone speaks Russian. The job they do is very sloppy. I had a bad experience.

This place is located in an abandoned strip mall and the up-keeping is horrible. They have dead plants all over the counter and its simply poorly kept. Today I went in for an appointment and waited 45+mins to be told that their computers were down so they were not able to assist me because they couldn't verify my insurance. The only reason I came here was because it was listed as an in network PPO Dentist. AVOID IF YOU CAN!

The worst staff possible.. The doctors except the one who works on Saturdays are all uneducated and shady.. They don't care about helping you they just want money and don't help you out when your in pain. Everything their is also outdated so do yourself a favor and don't go their .
