Dr. Lans has been providing outstanding dental services to the Northern Virginia area since 1978. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1973 before going on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in 1977.
In order to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, Dr. Lans maintains active membership in numerous prestigious professional organizations such as the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Sports Dentistry and the Crown Council, an alliance of leading-edge dental teams throughout North America.
Dr. Lans is actively involved in various volunteer organizations. He is a partner in Smiles For Life, a foundation that helps raise money for severely ill and needy children. He performs annual mouth exams and oral screening at local elementary schools, and he and his staff wrote, produced and directed a dental prevention play called BE A STAR AT WAR AGAINST CAVITIES which they performed at numerous elementary schools and hospitals throughout the Northern Virginia area.
Dr. Propoggio grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Allegheny College (Meadville, PA) with a degree in Biology and Theatre Arts. Dr. Propoggio received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Concurrently, she received her Masters in Science Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Following graduation, Dr. Propoggio completed a one-year post-graduate residence program at Allegheny General Hospital (West Penn Allegheny Health System) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Propoggio is an active member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Microscope Dentistry. Dr. Propoggio is persistent in furthering her dental education and believes that continuing education is paramount to providingquality dental treatment. Dr. Propoggio has received a significant amount of post-graduate training at the Dawson Center for Dental Studies. She has alsoachieved certification in laser dentistry through the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD).
Dr. Propoggio enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and strives to always produce beautiful dentistry that is functionally correct. The greatest personal reward she receives in her profession comes from the many underprivileged patients who she treats at the Loudoun Adult Dental Clinic on Tuesday nights and in her own office. Dr. Propoggio serves on a planning committee and hopes to see a full-service adult dental clinic become a reality in Loudoun County. Dr. Propoggio also volunteers her care to patients from the Ruritan Charities.
Dr. Propoggio is married and the mother of twin daughters. She enjoys being a member of the Loudoun/Fairfax Mothers of Multiples organization. Dr. Propoggio is a member of the Kennedy Center and enjoys the performing arts. She also likes to swim, travel, read, exercise and cook.
Dr. Saadulla, originally from Fairfax, Virginia, earned his degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. and completed his general practice residency in New York City at Brookdale University Hospital. Serving a wide and diverse population, his hospital-based training included complex and unique cases involving surgeries, trauma, and infection.Dr. Saadulla practices general dentistry anddevotes himself to all phases of cosmetic and functional dentistry including root canals, full- mouth restorations, and surgical extractions.
Following his belief in giving back to the community and the underserved, Dr. Saadulla has participated in mission trips to Jamaica and has provided relief at US Veteran clinics. He is passionate in providing and advocating for preventive dentistry and healthy dental hygiene practices. Dentistry has evolved globally, and he takes pride in keeping up to date with the latest evidence based practices and technologies.
Coming full circle, he is committed to providing tailored care by bringing years of clinical experience to our practice. His philosophy prioritizes patient comfort, open communication, and clinical techniques and protocols that are delivered with precision.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Saadulla is a theme park aficionado. You might run into him at Disney World which is his favorite! He will be the first to tell you that it was worth waiting four hours for the Avatar Flight of Passage ride in Pandora at the Animal Kingdom theme park!
Dr. Merah Al-Jundi, DDS, is a topnotch general dentist with more than 12 years of professional experience. Her unwavering passion for dentistry stems from her natural interest in helping others and easing their dental anxieties. Dr. Merah has always known that her lifes purpose is to work in the medical field and today, she is proud to have fulfilled that purpose by serving the community of Ashburn, in Virginia, at Ike Lans and Associates.
Even during high school, Dr. Merah had always been an academic achiever. She had also participated in a rather prestigious British program called the Cambridge IGCSE, which is a very popular international curriculum. Not only did she complete it well but she actually received the highest achiever award in the entire country. She eventually graduated at the top of her class and was the recipient of a prestigious scholarship that allowed her to get into the dental school of her choice.
As a native of Amman, Jordan, Dr. Merah chose to stay close to home and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the citys University of Jordan School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, she moved to New York City, New York, for postgraduate training at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, where she studied under renowned professors and pioneers in the dental field.
After completing her dental training, Dr. Merah still did not stop in her quest for learning. She has enrolled in various continuing education courses to further enhance her skills and to stay updated on the latest techniques and technological advancements in dentistry. Her membership at the Academy of General Dentistry provided most of her post-graduate training, where she consistently performed at the top in clinical sessions.
Dr. Merah has discovered a particular liking for aesthetic dentistry. Together with a team of other topnotch dental professionals, Dr. Merah provides an array of dental services at Ike Lans and Associates. Their range of services includes dental crowns, veneers, smile makeovers, tooth-colored fillings, and teeth whitening.
Outside of the office, Dr. Merah enjoys staying active and playing sports. She spends a lot of her free time swimming and doing Yoga. When she isnt out and about, she loves to stay in the kitchen and experiment with new cuisines. Dr. Merah is also multilingual and is very fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Dr. Kim is a Board Certified Orthodontist who grew up in nearby Oakton. Improving smiles and bringing confidence to kids, teens, and adults gives him great satisfaction and joy! He is happily married and has a dog named Mochi. In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys traveling, snowboarding, taking wedding cinematography and event photography.

I have had very cavity prone teeth since I was a child and I have been to countless dentists, but often they are not able to detect and treat my issues thoroughly in many cases. I am a busy medical practitioner myself and it can be exhausting and time consuming going from one dentist to the next. My strong preference is to get things all done the right way at once. Often I have complicated issues, and my mouth is also prone to infections after procedures. I travelled over 4 hours to come to see Dr. Saadulla as I had heard of his level of expertise from more than one person. Dr. Saadulla was able to save a tooth with a filling that another dentist wanted to have a root canal done to. Though the filling size is quite large as it had a large cavity, I have not experienced any pain with it when chewing or otherwise. Additionally Dr. Saadulla was able to find and treat 2 large cavities that 2 other dentists I saw in the past few months were either not able to detect at all or described them as very small surface level cavities that may not even require treatment. If I had not Seen Dr.Saadulla recently I probably would have lost both of these teeth as other dentists were not able to detect the serious cavities they had. Additionally Dr. Sadulla is very professional and is able to work both quickly and thoroughly giving the patient his full attention. Even though I live far away the commute is worth it and Dr. Sadulla will be my dentist from now on.

We were looking for a new dentist who accepted both of our dental insurance providers. They assured us they did and we scheduled our cleanings and a crown for my wife. They estimated out out of pocket for the crown would be appx $900 (cleanings are free as covered by our plan). Come to find out they are not preferred providers as they claimed. I am about $2,000 into this now and they keep sending me additional bills. I would be extremely cautious when dealing with this practice.

I went in recently for new crowns to replace my veneers, and was very impressed. The crowns look amazing!! I have never had a more comfortable experience at the dentist, they made sure I was taken care of all the way throughout. The process was smooth and quick, and I never experienced any discomfort. Dr. Saadulla, DA Rangeen, and Shakila were incredibly friendly and personable. Thanks everyone for a great couple of visits. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great team. They are awesome!!

Since covid has somewhat vanished, I decided to make appointment regarding my terrible teeth. Made the appointment, had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Saadulla, and the super team at Lans Family Dentistry. Explained what I wanted, and he was a great listener, and came up with one plan then upon thought changed to another plan. The end result is absolutely fantastic, I'm so thrilled with what he has done so far. The absolute end will be even more astonishing. Again than you so much Dr. Saadulla and the whole team at Lans Family Dentistry. Truly the best!

The staff was incredibly accommodating to a mom at the dentist with two young children. Staff knew what they were doing, didn't try to sell any unnecessary procedures, had appointments for a nervous mom, 2 year old and 4 year old at the same time! Highly recommend this office

Dr. Kim is kind, caring and meticulous. I had a bit of an emergency and the scheduling was prompt and effortless. My teeth haven't looked this great in years and all it took was an hour. Thank you to the whole team for the positive experience :)

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write this review! I have been a patient with Dr. Lans' office since my first tooth came in. They really feel like family at this point with how much attention to detail and friendliness I receive whenever I go in. I am that weird person who loves going to their dentist and ortho because of how amazing this place is. I usually have the same dental technician when I go for cleanings and she remembers little details about me, which is so nice in an age of technology and lack of personality. I went recently to have my permanent retainer that Dr. Mullen originally installed. The new orthodontist I saw was Dr. Kim and I was blown away! His dental assistant, Ashria, was so pleasant and kind. They were both very personable and patient with me and explained the whole procedure. I had a consult with Dr. Kim the week prior and I was ready to go. He made sure I was aware of any charges due and the front desk associate showed me the total for the day, which was very reasonable (under $200) and then we started. The communication with their team is so calming and they listen and watch if you have any pain or sensitivity. I experienced no pain or sensitivity and the retainer was put on quickly and efficiently. He even applied a temporary brace to hold the teeth together because he knew how important getting rid of my gap was to my self-confidence. I wear my retainer nightly even with my permanent retainer behind my top teeth and they haven't budged at all. I am looking forward to seeing my amazing dental team for my next cleaning. I was limited to dental options in my area due to insurance, but I can assure you that finding Dr. Lans' office and team would still have been my top choice. The office is well managed, they take pride in their space as well as the health of their team and patients. My dental hygienist Terri was seriously such a delight, I'd return just to visit her again. She was meticulous and so astute - she brought up things about my dental health even I had forgotten about (thus did not report on as a new patient). She was so easy to talk to and discuss my dental health with. I really enjoyed my first visit and look forward to the dentist now!

Absolutely wonderful Dental office. The staff are exceptionally kind and personable. First time visit was a breeze checking and I was seen ASAP. My family and I will continue to use Ike Lans, DDS and Associates, PC for all of our dental concerns. I give them the HIGHEST OF RECOMMENDATIONS and would encourage everyone to visit their office to have a marvelous experience!!!

I had an excellent experience with one my teeth having to be extracted. Dr. Saadulla was able to remove the tooth. He saw I was in discomfort and took care of it 30 seconds. Dr. Saadulla and the entire rest of the staff was fantastic.

I never thought I would leave a review for a dentist, but Dr. Saadulla deserves more than 5 stars. I went in for a crown and fillings and I was SUPER surprised when he said he was done, super fast and painless. I hate the dentist but I am looking forward to my next appointment. If you're looking for a great dentist office, the staff here make the experience amazing and Dr. Saadulla is the cherry on top.

The office is nice and clean, professional hands on people's mouths but, when the billing part comes, they don't inform you in a clear way what will be the out of pocket before even starting the treatment, they make you sign AFTER the treatment is done without asking the insurance what is covered or what is not.....my daughter got 4 fillings that day!!!....they didn't even ask or told me the total I will be paying, just received a bill in the mail......I wouldn't trust the way they obtain the money from patients without letting them know ( at least me) how will I be paying that day and if I agree to it.....I would have never agreed to anything knowing that my insurance covers nothing before starting the treatment.....shame on them.

This is a good, solid place to get dental care. From the receptionists to the dentists and orthodontists, I always have a great experience. Highly recommend! (Hannah at the front desk is consistently awesome!)
