Dr. Sally Hewett has been living and practicing dentistry on Bainbridge Island since 1984. As a member of the community, she has served with Habitat for Humanity, Bainbridge Youth Services, the Bainbridge Island Land Trust and Helpline House, as well as showing her garden on the Bainbridge In Bloom Garden Tour benefitting Bainbridge Arts and Humanities Council. In dentistry, she has served with the Washington Oral Health Foundation Board, Health Volunteers Overseas, the American Dental Association, and the FDI World Dental Federation. Most importantly, Dr. Sally loves Bainbridge Island and keeping up the long-term relationships with patients her favorite part of being a dentist.
Dr. Scantlebury grew up in Idaho, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, and graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. Octain grew up in the Metro Detroit area, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy, and graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2013. She moved to the area in June 2021 after falling in love with the Pacific Northwest.

Great place! I have a phobia of all things dental. This office understood my fear, and acted accordingly. Never in my life had I been so comfortable at a dentist appointment. Dr. Octain went over and beyond to be sure I was comfortable. I would highly recommend this practice.

I love this practice! Everyone is so professional and friendly. Dr. Lucy and marissa have done wonders for my teeth, they havent looked this great in a while! Thank you Ihland Garden Dental!

Bait and switch.THIS IS A TRAP BUSINESS. The front desk staff called and left a message. I didn't get it but was asked if I got it the day of the appointment. I said no, but it was a confirmation call? She said yes. I get all the way through the appointment to be told my insurance isn't accepted anymore. 500.00 surprise just before Christmas? Thanks a lot. Merry Christmas to you too. Save your money, and insurance headaches as they will not tell you till your done. Go anywhere else. After not being able to bill my husband they try billing me again. The insurance commissioner will be in touch these are illegal practices.

This is a warm, loving, caring dental practice that exceeded my wildest expectations. I brought my 2 year old daughter here for her first dental appointment. They made her feel comfortable and empowered so that her first experience with a hygienist and dentist was magical. From the minute we got to the front desk, to the minute we left, this was hands down the best dental experience of my life. I can't wait to go myself this week.

Been going to Ihland Garden Dental Care for probably around 15 years now. Sadly, I'm moving farther away and will be switching dentists, but I'd bring Ihland with me if I could! :) Going 15+ years without me noting any complaints or issues is pretty dang impressive. Friendly staff, quick to schedule emergency appointments when needed, and very understanding for those of us who struggle with getting dental work

I love my dental office. Today was my 1st appointment since coronavirus hit Kitsap County. So happy and proud to say that they are practicing great safety procedures. If you need a new dental office, I highly recommend them.
