Dr. Budolfson and our entire team are believers in the education of preventive careand strive to provide you with dental education and not just managing disease. Because of this philosophy, we focus on thorough exams, Dr. Budolfson will ask you about your overall health along with your teeth and gums. Part of your semi annual exam will be oral cancer exams and x-rays when necessary, this helps us catch problems that are not seen. Additionally, routine dental cleanings along with brushing, flossing, dental sealants, and fluoride treatments are all helpful in preventing decay and disease. We want you to have both a beautiful and a healthy smile.
At Idaho Family Dental, controlling the spread of Infection is also very important. We take the health of our patients very seriously, and therefore we maintain a strict sterilization and cross contamination process, ensuring that we follow the standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
As a dental health professional, Dr. Budolfson takes her continuing education very seriously. Our office includes a team of highly trained and skilled staff. We know that in order to provide you the services and results you want, we need to maintain continuing education and training in this rapidly growing field. By attending dental lectures, conventions and meetings, we are able to stay informed of new products, technology and techniques allowing us to utilize state-of-the-art dentistry. Dr. Budolfson also upkeeps her membership in various professional dental associations which allows her to stay abreast of changes in the dental industry.

Idaho Family Dental is the practice of Anna Budolfson, DMD. Dr. Budolfsongrew up in Boise and Eagle, Idaho. She attended the University of Idaho for her undergraduate studies where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degreein Biology. She then attended dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU)in Portland, Oregon. At OHSU, Dr. Budolfson wasone of 8 students to be selected out of her graduating class of 68 for induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Selection was based on excellence in scholarship and exemplary traits of character. Dr. Budolfson graduated With Honors from Oregon Health Sciences University in 2006. Following graduation, she and her husband returned to Boise whereDr. Budolfsonhas worked as an associate dentistin various dental practices since.
In April of 2014, the opportunity to take over an existing dental practice at 9203 W. Overland Rd in Boise, ID presented itself. The previous dentist at this office decided to retire. Dr. Budolfson is very excited about the opportunity to treat patients at her new office.
When Dr. Budolfson is not at her office, she is spending time with her two children and her husband. She enjoys the balance of being a mother and a dentist. When Dr. Budolfson was deciding on a name for her dentalpractice, she asked her 5 year-old son, Owen, what he thought she should name the practice. He thought about it for a minute and said You should name it, Mama Fixes Teeth because thats what you do. It really would have been a unique and clever name.

I normally don't write reviews so quickly, but I was incredibly impressed with this office. I called today to get my almost-4-year-old son his 1st ever appointment, expecting to get scheduled sometime in the next few weeks, and they were able to fit us in in a half hour. We arrived and had to wait a little bit, but they had a bunch of toys to occupy both of my kiddos. When my son's appointment came up, Mary (the hygienist) sat down on the floor with him and talked with him about how happy they were to be helping him with his first appointment. She then showed him back and talked him through every step of the process and let him hold and touch instruments before she used them. Dr. Ana was equally as amazing and talked to Henry and asked him questions to keep him calm and interested during her exam. I was blown away by their professionalism and "motherly" compassion. I am so glad we chose Idaho Family Dental. If you have kids, this is the place to go!!

I absolutely recommend Idaho Family Dental. I just got a teeth cleaning and my mouth feels AMAZING. They were friendly, quick and efficient. I know that going to the dentist can be scary or nerve racking, but they make you feel right at home.

Was trying to schedule an appointment the office manager Erin(I think) was so rude. They don't take my insurance. Which is ridiculous. But she was super rude and condescending. She actually told my to calm down. Horrible customer service. Wish I could give zero stars.

We love everything about Idaho Family Dental and Dr. Budolfson. She and her staff are always personable, easy to work with, super helpful with scheduling appointments that work for my family and great with my kids. They even got my 3-year-old to cooperate for her dental visit and she walked away so proud of her "shiny princess teeth." I would give 10 stars if I could! I tell all my friends the best dentist in town for both adults and kids is Dr. Budolfson.
