Dr. Brent Chapman has been with Idaho Endodontics since July of 2000. He loves practicing in Boise and really enjoys the opportunity he has to serve the areas endodontic needs. Dr. Chapman is committed to provide the highest quality of care while providing a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for the patients. Dr. Chapman also enjoys working with Dr. Shipp and their highly trained staff in a facility which they have designed, and continue to upgrade, in order to offer patients the latest state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Chapman, Dr. Shipp, and the staff all share the philosophy of providing patients the best care possible in a gentle and friendly manner. This philosophy has afforded them the privilege of working with the areas best dentists in order to ensure that the patients receive the best care possible.
Dr. Chapman was raised in Idaho Falls, ID and is proud to call himself an Idaho native. He received his Bachelor of Science from Idaho State University where he attended on athletic and academic scholarships. Dr. Chapman graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1998 with honors. He went on to complete his specialty training in endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Chapman is committed to remain on the cutting edge of endodontics and he takes several hours of continuing education courses each year. He is an associate clinical professor at Creighton University School of Dentistry where he lectures to senior dental students. Dr. Chapman is also an adjunct faculty member at Idaho State University-Boise campus where he teaches new dentists in the discipline of endodontics at the ISU Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency.
Dr. Chapman and his wife, Kim, love Boise and all the many activities the area has to offer. Dr. Chapman in his spare time enjoys cycling, basketball, coaching youth basketball and spending time with Kim and their four children, Sydney, Tanner, Hunter, and Savannah.
Dr. Shipp attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated with honors. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville Hospital. This hospital-based program afforded him the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of dentistry and medicine, with particular attention to treating the medically compromised patient and providing oral sedation for those with dental anxiety.
Dr. Shipp continued his endodontic specialty training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He completed the Graduate Endodontic Program receiving both an Endodontic Certificate and a Masters in Oral Biology. Dr. Shipp was fortunate to be in a program that made available all the current technological innovations/techniques in the field of endodontics, provided a strong academic environment for learning and ranks among the top in the country in clinical experience.
Dr. Shipp enjoys working with Dr. Chapman and staff in a state-of-the-art facility, where the primary goal is to provide the highest quality endodontic care in the Treasure Valley and do so in a very gentle, comfortable and friendly manner.
Dr. Shipp spends most of his free time with his wife and children. They enjoy all the outdoor activities the Treasure Valley provides, especially water sports. When possible he also loves golf, basketball, cycling and tennis.

I had a root canal done here. I feel very anxious when I have to have any dental work. The Dr. And staff were very kind and understanding, they took the time to explain the procedure step by step, the work was done as gently as possible. They were very meticulous, took the necessary imaging to make sure the work was done correctly. I hope that I won't ever need another root canal, but if I ever do I will be coming back to Idaho Endodontics.

Dr. Chapman did a root canal for me, and did what other dentists couldn't do, he was able to numb a very stubborn nerve that others have failed to numb. Him and his assistant were also very funny, making me laugh, which took away my anxiety. Thank God for Dr Chapman!

Excellent service! Very polite and friendly staff that answered all my questions. The environment was very comfortable and welcoming. They saw me straight away, despite being around twenty minutes early. They had my root canal done in around 40 minutes or so. I can sincerely recommend.

Top notch care... from scheduling, front office staff, dental assistant and the dentist. In and out in under an hour with pain relief nearly immediately. I highly recommend Dr. Chapman and his staff.

Both of these doctors are the best in town. I had a tooth that was really hurting and they took in upon request from my dentist in the same week to help relieve the pain. I've Ben there twice now and will not go anywhere else. I truly grateful for these guys!

Amazing care! I had to have a root canal due to a trauma that happened to my front tooth. I was so worried that it was going to be horrible since I have had one root canal in the past that didnt go well but this was a totally different experience. Dr Shipp was AWESOME! I was in and out in under an hour total and the actual root canal itself took less than 10 minutes! No pain or problems at all. The next day Dr Shipp even text me to make sure I was doing well. Highly recommend..... Hopefully I never need another root canal but if I do, I wont be going anywhere else!

The front desk is rude, the whole office just seems careless about safety protocols- including the Drs!!! I'm not compromising my health going there any more. I ended up going to a different office that actually took my health and safety seriously. We are in a pandemic.....healthcare offices need to take better precautions.

I suffer from Anxiety/Panic disorder AND I'm hard to numb for dental procedures (Perfect patient, right?! Haha) However, Dr. Chapman has an amazing bedside manner as do his entire staff. He made sure I was 100% numb before performing a quick and painless root canal. I highly recommend him if you're in the unfortunate position of having to have a root canal!

You are in good hands here! Got a root canal at the tender age of 36. Was peteified but it was great! Front desk was very reassuring. Dr Shipp and his hygenist are highly skilled.

They were great! I was in a lot of pain, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable, and seen as soon as possible. Friendly, clean, caring, professional. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Chapman is a rock star! Got in there and found the problem, fixed it pain free and made sure I was comfortable. Best experience under the drills I have ever had. His staff was great and sociable. I know where I am going if I need some work again.

Went in for a double root canal today , actually fell asleep through some of it. Obviously there was noise, but no pain whatsoever. Hopefully don't have to go back , but definitely would.
