Dr. Brent Chapman has been with Idaho Endodontics since July of 2000. He loves practicing in Boise and really enjoys the opportunity he has to serve the areas endodontic needs. Dr. Chapman is committed to provide the highest quality of care while providing a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for the patients. Dr. Chapman also enjoys working with Dr. Shipp and their highly trained staff in a facility which they have designed, and continue to upgrade, in order to offer patients the latest state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Chapman, Dr. Shipp, and the staff all share the philosophy of providing patients the best care possible in a gentle and friendly manner. This philosophy has afforded them the privilege of working with the areas best dentists in order to ensure that the patients receive the best care possible.
Dr. Chapman was raised in Idaho Falls, ID and is proud to call himself an Idaho native. He received his Bachelor of Science from Idaho State University where he attended on athletic and academic scholarships. Dr. Chapman graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1998 with honors. He went on to complete his specialty training in endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Chapman is committed to remain on the cutting edge of endodontics and he takes several hours of continuing education courses each year. He is an associate clinical professor at Creighton University School of Dentistry where he lectures to senior dental students. Dr. Chapman is also an adjunct faculty member at Idaho State University-Boise campus where he teaches new dentists in the discipline of endodontics at the ISU Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency.
Dr. Chapman and his wife, Kim, love Boise and all the many activities the area has to offer. Dr. Chapman in his spare time enjoys cycling, basketball, coaching youth basketball and spending time with Kim and their four children, Sydney, Tanner, Hunter, and Savannah.
Dr. Shipp attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated with honors. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville Hospital. This hospital-based program afforded him the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of dentistry and medicine, with particular attention to treating the medically compromised patient and providing oral sedation for those with dental anxiety.
Dr. Shipp continued his endodontic specialty training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He completed the Graduate Endodontic Program receiving both an Endodontic Certificate and a Masters in Oral Biology. Dr. Shipp was fortunate to be in a program that made available all the current technological innovations/techniques in the field of endodontics, provided a strong academic environment for learning and ranks among the top in the country in clinical experience.
Dr. Shipp enjoys working with Dr. Chapman and staff in a state-of-the-art facility, where the primary goal is to provide the highest quality endodontic care in the Treasure Valley and do so in a very gentle, comfortable and friendly manner.
Dr. Shipp spends most of his free time with his wife and children. They enjoy all the outdoor activities the Treasure Valley provides, especially water sports. When possible he also loves golf, basketball, cycling and tennis.
