Dr. Alfonso has over 25 years of experience in the dental field and has practiced in Carlsbad, CA for over 13 years. She graduated from Centro Escolar University, DOMC, in Manila, Philippines, and continued her education at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry with post-graduate training in Advanced Dental Esthetics. Dr. Alfonso is passionate about enhancing the smile of her patients and believes that a smile can make a difference.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and is an officer in the San Diego Filipino Dental Association, a non-profit group that sponsors dental and medical missions all over the world. Her love for continuing education ensures that her procedures rely on the latest dental techniques with the most current technology available.
Dr. Alfonso and her team are committed to providing comfortable, exceptional dental care to all of their patients. Previous dental experience was horrible so i switched to this dentist and it's the best experience . It's really changing my perspective and fears for dentists . Staff is amazing and super friendly . Helpful with any questions or concerns you may have . Definitely recommend this dentist !!

Doctor is very nice and is transparent. Tells you what is wrong and explains the different problems and how to solve them . The whole staff is very helpful and the environment is really nice . Highly recommend if you are looking for a new dentist to check them out.

Dr Alfonso and her team are all about education and exceptional customer service! Not only for being friendly and caring, but also with such great communication, making sure my comfort was their utmost importance and were very gentle. I got my veneers replaced on my 2 front teeth and they look fabulous! But had a lot of work I had been putting off for 4+ years. I've been looking for someone since last dentist retired and finally found my home at Dr Alfonso's for years to come! I would highly recommend them!

The whole family has been going to Dr Alfonso ever since she moved to this location (about 18 years now). While most folks feel scared to visit the dentist, we enjoy the visits. Feel treated like family (without the drama). Teeth/gums feel clean and good. Definitely recommend this dentistry.

Dr. Alfonso and her team are amazing! I was a very difficult case. I had very few teeth left and there was not possibility for implants. Dr. Alfonso just gave me my smile back and made me a very happy person. One cannot ask for better treatment. She and her team are highly professinal, supportive and efficient. I am so grateful!!!

Dr Alfonso and her staff consistently go above and beyond for me as a patient. They let me know up front what I need done and pricing options with what insurance covers. This will be going on 4 years coming here and plan on coming here into the future.

I had very horrible experience in my previous dentist that frankly, I was embarrassed to smile or find a dentist I could trust. And finding a dentist that understood TMJ. I no longer feel embarrassed but more confident at every visit. Dr. Ida and her entire staff are so kind, professional and attentive. I have built more confidence as I am getting my dental work done through questions, education and her and her staff letting me know will get there. I look forward to visit as I am having all my dental work done. I found a beautiful and kind hearted DMD and can't wait and look forward to the completion to my new smile and thankful she knows all about and is educated TMJ.
