Iannessa Pediatric Dentistry, PC : Christina Iannessa, DMD

980 Beaver Grade Rd Ste 101, Coraopolis, PA 15108

The practice also took steps to minimize its environmental impact by using digital charting and digital radiography, computers that are Energy Star 5.0 compliant, oil-less compressor and dry vacuum systems that utilize no water or oil, along with numerous others.

Digital Radiography was another key technology that we implemented to increase patients' safety. By using the latest digital x-ray technology, patients are exposed up to 90% less radiation when compared to practices that use traditional film-based x-rays. Digital x-rays also are available instantaneously since we do not have to wait for film to be developed. This is great for our practice, because as you know a lot of children do not always have the best patience. Plus since there is no film there is no need for harmful chemicals to develop the film.

Following Dr. Christina Iannessa's graduation from college, she went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh's, School of Dental Medicine. Throughout her dental school career, Dr. Iannessa led numerous outreach projects including providing education programs and free dental screenings for the Family Support Centers of Allegheny County , UPMC Community Initiatives, Early Head Start Programs, Pittsburgh Urban League, Pittsburgh Harlequins, Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures, Special Olympics, Healthy Athletes, and many others. She also was the Coordinator for the American Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile Day at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine. Do to all of Dr. Iannessa's tremendous academic and volunteer work; she earned numerous awards including the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Student Award, American Dental Education Association's Listerine Preventative Dentistry Scholarship, Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship, and Owen Moore Scholarship.

Dr. Iannessa's enthusiasm for pediatric dentistry led her to Women & Children's Hospital / State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine for Post-Doctoral training in Pediatric Dentistry. While serving as Chief Pediatric Dental Resident, her volunteer work continued by working with the Special Olympics of Western New York and the University at Buffalo's Department of Community Dentistry where she performed various outreach projects including Early Head Start Screenings, Pre-School Programs, and etc. She also was a clinical instructor for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Buffalo's School of Dental Medicine.

Following the completion of Dr. Christina Iannessa's residency at the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo in June of 2007, she moved back to Pittsburgh to work in private practice. Since moving back she continues to be involved in the community and supports Give Kids a Smile Day at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine. She currently resides in Sewickley with her husband and their dog Molar.

Dr. Christina Iannessa is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is licensed to practice in New York and Pennsylvania. She is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Iannessa is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Western PA Dental Society, and the Beaver Valley Dental Society.

Everyone there is so patient and kind! Kristen especially (one of the dental hygienists) is so amazing with my very anxious son.

I should have read the reviews before scheduling, she must think that she is the ONLY pediatric dentist in the area. I scheduled my sons 1st appointment here, had to reschedule due to an unexpected issue. I was told by the receptionist that since my son is a new patient, I would not be able to reschedule his appointment. And he would NO LONGER be allowed to be seen at the office. This is unacceptable, and I have no problem taking my business elsewhere. Your google reviews show 3 stars, and it speaks volumes.

Dr. Ianessa and staff are fantastic. My son had a great time at the dentist office and I've never been able to say that. They quickly cleaned my son's teeth, explained the issues he was dealing with, and came up with a plan of attack. I appreciated the speed at which we got an appointment and their efficiency while my child was in the chair. Highly recommended.

Apparently my daughter was dismissed from this practice because she (a child, a minor) gave a below 5 star review on Google after her appt. Is this Really where we are as a society; because someone criticizes your practice you pout and refuse service?!?! I only going out this was the case when I called to see when my daughter's next appointment was and they claim a dismissal letter had been sent because of her review. There was no letter sent and if they were going to send a dismissal letter the proper thing would have been to send it certified mail. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism exhibited by this practice. We will gladly go elsewhere.

Love Dr. Ianessa and her team! My kids have been seeing her for over a dozen years! She was sensitive & patient with them when they were little, and if they had any anxiety about visits. She is also funny, adaptable, and kind which is a big hit with my teens. Her office is awesome, and the kids have always looked forward to cleanings because of the decor, & the tv's on the ceiling! I highly recommend her!

Amazing experience every 6 months. Violet use to be so afraid to go to the dentist. Now she loves getting her teeth clean.

I've been going to this dentist before she was even in practice and ever since then Dr. Ianessa and her staff have been the sweetest and most helpful people ever. My sister and I have had no problems here and truly loved this dentist. Unfortunately I can't come here anymore but i've enjoyed my time i've had with Dr. Ianessa!

The office always seemed very nice, clean and the staff was generally okay. I was disappointed that our insurance was no longer accepted but that turned out to be the best situation. We have a new dentist and my daughter has to have cavities filled that look like they have been there for years. I can't understand how Iannessa did not see these hugh cavities. Very extremely disappointed. Don't let a cute waiting room and fish tank fool you.

Almost everyone here is rude and grumpy and will also try to force optional medical services on your kids. They make you wait outside and if you refuse certain 'unnecessary and expensive' services, they cancel your appointment. Why? Because money is ALL they care about! They prefer the (not very well-informed) patients of whom they can make the most money off. Unfortunately for them I'm too smart to fall for this. Always overbooked, unprofessional, and rude! They're still very paranoid about COVID after all the vaccines out there; yeah political correctness at its worst!

I wish I would have taken the time to read all of the reviews before becoming a patient. Dr. Ianessa is a caring and skilled dentist, however, the practice itself lacks compassion and struggles with customer service in the following ways: parents are not permitted to accompany their child to treatment with or without anesthesia (which is scary on many fronts), before every 6 month visit parents are required to submit 15+ pages of online paperwork even if their insurance and health information has not changed. We are leaving this practice to try another practice where a parent can hold their child's hand during a cavity treatment or at least be in the same room.

I would recommend them to absolutely everybody who has kids especially if your kids are a little intimidated by the dentist. I personally have had nothing but great experiences with them.

This is my absolute favorite pediatric dental office. The staff is warm and hilarious and truly makes every accommodation possible to keep you littles happy. Sometimes we forget to brush and floss and they've never once made me feel like I'm a bad parent because of it. Dr. Ianessa brings such a nice presence to the room. You can tell that she really enjoys her job.

It is so appreciated how well the entire team works with my autistic grandson. Today was his best visit yet and with the sweet and patient cooperation between hygienist, Dr. Iannessa and my grandson, all the procedures necessary were accomplished. BRAVO and many thanks.
