Mark A. Iacobelli D.D.S., F.A.G.D., F.I.C.D., M.I.I.F., graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1982. Since then he has acquired and maintained his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry by completing numerous hours of continuing education. This continuing education has been highlighted by completing multi-year post-graduate programs in orthodontics (braces), neuromuscular and TMD treatments for jaw and head pain, facial esthetics, cosmetic dentistry, traditional and minimally invasive implant placement and restoration, and a one-year program for conscious sedation (intravenous anxiety control) which includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The Straight Wire Orthodontic Studies Organization has also recognized Dr. Iacobelli for his commitment to continuing education in orthodontics, TMD treatment, and neuromuscular dentistry by awarding him the prestigious C.R. Gerber Jr. Award for Excellence Clinical Dentistry.
In addition, he has also received his Fellowship from the International College of Dentists and the Midwest Implant Institute. He holds licenses and sedation permits in the states of Ohio and Florida. He is the co-founder of Advanced Implant Mentoring, the Academy of Minimally Invasive Implantology-East, as well as a past president and board of directors member of the Midwest Implant Institute Fellows. He has been selected as one of the Best Dentists in Cleveland for 20 years in a row! Dr. Iacobelli has lectured nationally and internationally for Advanced Implant Mentoring, the Academy if Minimally Invasive Implantology, The Center for Occlusal Studies, The Midwest Implant Institute Fellows, The Midwest Implant Institute, The Academy of General Dentistry, InnoBioSurg, OCO Biomedical, Dentatus USA, Henry Schein Surgical Solutions, The Camlog Corporation, and Hiossen. He is passionate about the field of implant dentistry and is committed to expanding the knowledge of professionals through teaching and mentoring. Upon graduation, Dr. Iacobelli maintained a full time, fee for service private practice in Canton, Ohio until 1986 then in suburban Cleveland, Ohio since late in 1986 until present time. On a personal note, Dr. Mark, his wife Linda, and three sons (Tony, Vince, Matthew) live and are active in the community of Brecksville, Ohio.
When away from the office, he has, along with some of his family members, participated with the St Basil the Great Honduran Mission Team. He and his family are avid sports fans and enjoy watching sporting events associated with any of his alma maters (Padua Franciscan High School, The Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve University) or any the hometown teams of Cleveland, Ohio.
Stephen L. Sala, DMD, FAGD attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his D.M.D. degree in 2011. He then chose to pursue an additional year of formal training and completed a general practice residency program at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Sala spends much of his free time pursuing continuing education so that he can provide the highest level of care to his patients. In recognition of his dedication to continuing education, Dr. Sala received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This is a designation earned by only 6 percent of general dentists, and he is well on his way in working towards his Mastership (MAGD) which requires at least 1,100 hours of approved continuing education.
The focus of his post-graduate studies encompasses many facets of dentistry with an emphasis on the following:cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, orthodontics, laser dentistry andIV conscious sedation (intravenous anxiety control) which also includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Dr. Sala is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and he has lived in Cleveland, OH since 2011. He and his wife, Alma, enjoy raising their two daughters, pursuing a healthy lifestyle, cooking at home and spending time with family in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh. And yes, Dr. Sala is a Steelers fan, but the Tribe and Cavs are alright too.
Maggie joined our staff in 2016, bringing years of experience in caring for patients. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications from Kent State University which has helped her build relationships with our patients over the years. Outside of work Maggie enjoys attending Cleveland Indians baseball games, spending time with her nieces, and she is a newlywed.
Kori is a RDH that graduated from Youngstown State University in 2012. She began as a patient of ours from adolescence, which allows her to have a unique perspective having been on both sides of the dental chair. She loves interacting with people and her biggest goal is to educate patients today for a brighter smile tomorrow! Both her and her husband are big sports fans that enjoy playing and attending sporting events.
Cheryl - Certified Dental Assistant/ EFDA Cheryl has been a CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) since 2000 and has worked for Dr. Mark since 2005. In 2007, Cheryl passed her EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary) boards after attending Case Western Reserve University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and chocolate lab, Riley. Her excellent clinical skills and compassionate nature make her a valuable member of our team.
Diane became a member of our team in 2018, bringing with her 40 years of experience in the dental field. Her number one goal here is to make sure every patient feels welcomed and has a positive dental experience. When she is not working she likes to spend time with her two sons and one grandchild. She can also be found boating in the metro parks or spending the day at the nearest street rod show with her husband of 35 years.
Lisa joined our staff in early 2020. She earned her EFDA certification from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in 2017. She brings care, compassion, and empathy into her meetings with patients. Lisa is a Cleveland Indians fan and spends her free time with her son Danny and two sisters.
Cheryl - Certified Dental Assistant/ EFDA Sarah began working for our practice in 2019. She became an EFDA in 2018, receiving her education from Case Western Reserve University. Sarah spends most of her free time cheering her son, Nick, on at various athletic events. She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
