As a practice, we are true believers that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide dental health care vs. disease care. We focus on thorough exams checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary.
In Dr. Horecky's free time, he loves to spend quality time with his two wonderful boys, Myers and Fulton. He also enjoys taking advantage of our great Charleston weather out on the water. Dr. H always pulls for his alma mater Ole Miss.
Amanda, a native of Mt. Pleasant, received her bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte in '07. After working in the healthcare field for several years, she discovered a passion for dentistry and went back to school to become a hygienist. She loves her patients and watching them continuously improve and maintain their dental health.
Lisa is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, however, she has lived in Charleston for nearly 30 years and considers it her home. Lisa enjoys educating patients on the importance of their dental health and how it correlates with overall wellness.
Lisa loves volunteering at her church, Seacoast, spending time on the boat with family and friends, exercising, and cheering for her favorite teams L.S.U. (her Alma mater) and the New Orleans Saints. Lisa is married to her best friend, Gary, and they have been blessed with 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren that they adore.
Shannon is originally from Maryland, but has lived in South Carolina for most of her life. Right out of high school, Shannon received her Dental Assisting Certificate and began her career at I'On right away. While she enjoys working with our dentist, she especially loves working with kids and assisting with dental surgeries.
Shannon has a yellow lab named Winston that goes every where she goes. In her free time she is usually with her family, cheering on her teams, the Gamecocks and the Philadelphia Eagles or outdoors with her boyfriend, Chase.
Heather is originally from southern California and has been in Charleston for the past 22 years. She has 16 years of experience as a front desk coordinator in the dental field. She handles the scheduling, billing, and insurance for the office, and enjoys being the first person to see the smiles of each patient as they walk in the door.
Joy, a native of Charleston, has spent time living in Georgia, Tennessee, and Germany. Joy received her Dental Assisting Certificate and loves learning more about teeth on a daily basis. While she enjoys helping at the front desk and working side by side with the dentist and hygienists, her true passion is assisting with dental surgeries.
Molly was the best part of our days. It goes without saying that our sweet girl was by far the most beloved in our I'On Family. She provided us with endless love and happiness and will live on in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to see her.

Over the last couple of weeks I have spent a lot of time in I'on Family Dentistry with Dr. Brown and the rest of the staff. I am so grateful for all of their hard work to fix my teeth, which had two difficult issues. I was in a time crunch because I am leaving for college, but they made sure to fit me into their busy schedule, and even let me come in for a couple of emergency appointments when necessary. Dr. Brown is new at the practice and he is a really great addition to the team. He clearly put a lot of time and consideration into my treatment plan and it has worked out really well. Dr. Horecky was also a great help in the process. The rest of the staff--Olivia, Joy, and all the other assistants and hygienists--are really supportive and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this dentistry--because of their hard work, patience, and thoughtfulness, I am finally really confident in my smile.

Communication: This office is very slick for communications, and when you walk in - they know who you are! You are reminded in good time about appointments and welcomed when you arrive with a smiling face. Dentistry: I'm not a dentist, but I've been with I'On for 15yrs and it appears that Horecky has all the modern systems, well trained staff, and the deep experience to practice to a very high standard. The location has it's own parking and the office has plenty of seating with bathrooms and refreshments to hand.

I'm 68 and have seen this dentist for the last 12 years. Excellent in every regard for care and understanding. Keeps up to date on with the latest knowledge and trends in the dental & medical field. Great staff and office surroundings. Highly recommend!

Its sad that the Doctor of Dentistry can't even pull a tooth. Its like 101 Dentistry. I was written off as not being a patient because I haven't been there in 16 months. Can't trust a dentist who just drops you and can't pull a tooth. What good is a dentist who can't even pull a tooth. The below response is acting like Oral Surgery Specialists are the only experts in pulling teeth - what a joke; if a dentist can't pull a tooth then they are just lazy and they have the system take advantage of people with referrals.

If you enjoy getting hit in the face with instruments, or having your lips pinched between your teeth and the hygienist's instruments, you will love Horecky! I made the mistake of letting Horecky replace all of my silver fillings with porcelain. After 40 years of having silver fillings I never had a problem with them. I had a great childhood dentist. So a few years after letting Horecky drill on many of my otherwise healthy teeth, I now have tooth decay in every single tooth he worked on! I am paying a fortune to have my mouth completely reworked but it will never be the same.
