For Dr. Hyland, the decision to become a dentist was an easy one. She wanted to improve peoples lives, and oral healthcare is a great vehicle for that type of care. This passion is also what led her down the rabbit hole of wanting to provide TMD treatment, orthodontics, and sleep apnea therapy to her patients.
As a young, fit woman, Dr. Hyland regularly wondered why her jaw would click as she ate, why she didnt have much of a chin, and why she snored at night. Through her post-graduate studies, she learned that it all came back around to the position of her lower jaw, which is a factor thats normally overlooked but can cause so many serious side effects, including constant migraines, snoring, and more. Being able to decrease chronic facial pain can be a life-changing treatment for so many people, which makes her proud to be a general dentist who focuses on much more than just teeth alone!
Dr. Hyland is happily married to her high school sweetheart Cody, and they have two busy, active daughters named Halle and Ruby. Of course, they will always love their first child too: Hugo, their very lazy Siberian Husky. Away from work, some of her favorite personal hobbies include playing volleyball, gardening (which includes landscaping, growing vegetables, and much more), drinking red wine, scrapbooking, hiking, relaxing on a boat, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Top notch crew from check in to the dentists themselves. Squeezed us in and took care of a broken tooth on our little guy quickly. Very knowledgeable and helpful with the pediatric interventions for jaw issues, alignment, and more!

Because of the pandemic, I lost a job and insurance. I also did not feel comfortable attending in-person visits during that time. This lapse caused me to become a non-patient, without any forewarning, and your office refused to see me as a "previous client". At a vulnerable time for many, I was made to feel that the policy and dollar are more important than me as an individual and member of this community along with my son. It's unfortunate and heart breaking that I have no recourse while your institution has every protection in discontinuing service. You played by all the rules, but your actions are still unjust and my family must contend with actual harm in your negligence. All I wanted was to continue being a patient, it makes me want to cry

Humans Dental is wonderful.I have been going to this dentist office for years. Very welcoming front desk staff. Both dentists are knowledgeable and kind and all the hygienists are really friendly and thorough. Their new office is very elegant and they have very modern equipment. A nice touch is the heated and vibration chairs to help you relax during your visit. Highly recommend.

I've only had one dental exam and one dental cleaning at Hyland Dental so far, but I've found my forever dentist. Dr. Hyland and staff I've interacted with are professional, friendly, and caring. Today I had my dental cleaning, and Caroline was amazing. She was gentle and thorough, and she completely respected my individual needs. I would highly recommend this dental practice.

Dr. Amanda Hyland is a consummate professional for whom I have a great deal of admiration and respect. I presented her with a challenging situation of creating a bridge for my front teeth after learning that an implant wouldn't work. She was not satisfied with the result until it was perfect. All along the way she consulted with me and encouraged my feedback. I really appreciated her desire to achieve the very best outcome. In addition, I am impressed with her knowledgeable and professional staff. She creates an atmosphere of collegiality and provides her staff opportunities to showcase their abilities, far beyond what I have ever seen in any other dental practice!

I'm a relatively new patient- two visits so far, and was nervous about having to switch dentists (because of our insurance). I've had an amazing experience with Hyland Dental. The front desk staff are always warm and welcoming. The hygienists are friendly, relatable, and do a great job. And, Dr. Hempen is personable, knowledgeable, professional, and makes you very comfortable. I would highly recommend Hyland Dental to anyone seeking a dentist office.

I have found my forever dental home! After some undesirable experiences at my the last two dentists, I followed my son's recommendation right to Hyland Dental. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly and I felt very much at home. I have dental anxiety but did not feel anxious during the visit. Caroline told me everything she was going to do and was very gentle and encouraging. No scolding or put-downs here! And they checked on my insurance before going beyond typically covered check-up procedures. They care about all of me, teeth and wallet. NO SURPRISES here! Thanks to all of you for your care! I'm even going to start going every 6 months instead of a year!
