Beware....unethical practices. Went here for a regular check up and cleaning on referral from a friend. When I called to make the appt I was told that the xrays, exam, and cleaning would be $290 ( i am a cash patient). All was well until after the hygienist gave me my exam, she stated she would be back with a "quote" for my cleaning. She returns with a piece of paper stating I will owe $1300! When I hesitated she went into a spiel about how since I was not "expecting to spend so much today we can perform your cleaning in either 2 or 4 sessions to make the costs easier on you". When I hesitated to jump on board with her plans she left the room and went next door to another patient, she then sent a new tech in who stated that she was going to polish my teeth just "as a courtesy today". The original hygienist yelled from the room next door that they would not give me a normal cleaning and my only option was to go for the $1300 quote. The actual dentist was nice enough, however whoever this head hygenist is was rude, rough with my mouth, and a complete scammer. Stay away. Spent 200 dollars for xrays that I was not even able to use as my check up at another office the same week. After discussing what happend with my new provider I am now aware that this is a common scam that a lot of offices try to pull.

Honest, compassionate, reliable. Hyde Park Dental has been such a relief, I discovered HPD after a terrible experience with another dentist in Hyde Park who unethically performed procedures and added hidden charges to my bill. Hyde Park Dental has treated me so well. As a 25-year-old, finding a trustworthy dentist after having the same one in my hometown for most of my life has been a challenge. HPD is truly an honorable place of business--they are always on time, professional, clear in what you will be billed for, and the doctor only performs services when absolutely needed. I would recommend this dentist over any other facility I have visited in Tampa, they are the whole package.

They are my regular cleaning dentist, but also has helped fix 3 chipped teeth. They are really good at what they do, and I'm always happy with the results. They also don't talk too much when their hands are in your mouth, which I know is important for a lot of people.

I, and my husband and 2 children, have been seeing Dr Patrino now for over 10 years. I love the warmth of the staff, particularly Lori, at the front desk, who is always friendly and welcoming! You never wait long in the waiting room, but if you had to it is very comfortable, clean, and they have a great selection of magazines! Sometimes I've wished I had more time to look at them! Being a patient as long as I have, I've seen a few hygienists over the years. I can't complain about ANY of them. I also love the less is more approach - when work is needed, Dr Patrino offers several options and recommends beginning with the least aggressive approach, and is happy to do whatever you elect to do. Dr Patrino is also very gentle. I've always been satisfied with the services, and the cost. I have no hesitation recommending Dr Patrino and Hyde Park Dental to anyone.

Great staff and happy to be seeing Dr. Patrino now that I have dental insurance again and after seeing a few other dentists that were not a good fit for me. He and his staff were all professional and really great. Highly recommend. They did not try to up sell me on tons of cosmetic work, which was my experience in another dentist office nearby.

In consultation with me, the client, the Hyde Park Team identifies, discusses and implements a team approach to plan development. This individualized, prospective plan of care, in my opinion, is not only reassuring, but objectivity prevents concurrent and retrospective problems from developing. This common sense approach to patient care has always been, and continues to be, the cornerstone to Hide Park Dental, setting the clinic apart from other Dental Clinics. Why?, because their team makes it about me and my expectations. A discussion of both the clinical work needing to be done along with the cost of care, assures that I am always well informed. A well informed patient, who is prospectively reassured that quality and excellence will be the result, is why I recommend their clinic. In this approach, I feel outcomes will not only be met, but exceeded. Isn't that what it's all about? A client leaving their clinic feeling satisfied knowing they were listened to and respected.

Exceptional service, very comfortable atmosphere and staff. Dr.Patrino's level of skill showed while doing my fillings and repairing the work of other dentist who hadn't done a good enough job. Best dentist I've ever been to. I'd recommend him to anyone!
