Dr. Emalie Hutton grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee as the eldest of 2 children. She graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in both Business and Chemistry. Dr. Hutton then went on to complete her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Centers College of Dentistry in Memphis. She was awarded the Deans Leadership Award, ASDAs award for Leadership and the Doris Costello Bowyer Memorial Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service.
Dr. Hutton is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association and the 6th District Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and the Pankey Dental Society. Locally she is a member of the Columbia Kiwanis Society.
Dr. Emalie believes she hit the career jackpot by becoming a dentist, Its the perfect combination of art and science. It gives me a chance to improve someones health and overall well-being, while hopefully put a smile on their face, and enhancing the beauty of their teeth. She loves being a part of the local community and working with the wonderful people of Columbia, Tennessee.

I trust Hutton Family Dentistry 100% for all my dental needs! They are very professional in everything that they do! Starting with Monti at the front desk to the hygiene staff, the assistants and the doctors! The have a great team!

This was my first visit here today, just to get established along with getting my teeth cleaned. I've had anxiety about being an adult and actually scheduling my dentist appointments the past few years. It was super easy to schedule the appointment and all of the staff were so nice. Teresa was the hygienist that cleaned my teeth and she was so sweet about everything and my teeth were all nice and clean! Dr. Sam Hutton explained everything so well to me and made me feel better about my anxiety with scheduling/going to dentist and doctor appointments.

Hutton Family Dentistry is the G.O.A.T.(Greatest Of All Time). From the front to the back, they are wonderful. Kind, courteous, knowledgeable, skilled and more. They take the time to talk with you and explain all options available and make sure that you understand. I would highly recommend them!!!!

If your looking for excellent dental care and staff Hutton Family Dentistry is a trademark for these qualities. Dr Sam explains procedures so you can understand and listens patiently to your concerns. I am 60 years young with a heart condition. I get great dental care and also know my heart is being taken care of .

My wife has been using Andy Woodard since she was 18, upon his retirement she continued to stay and use the Huttons. Her tooth they said needed a filling was perfectly fine, she had no issues. They filled it & she ended up with a cracked tooth and us out $700 for a crown. The new front desk lady is very rude. Not 1 time did we get told about the cost until it was done and she was literally walking out the door to leave. No one told us our Ins. Benefits had been exhausted. Needless to say we are both at a new office.

If I could give Tracy & Teresa the dental hygienists five stars I would but this review is not about them. My husband and I have been going to this office for approx 25 years. Today, my husband broke his tooth and I called to see if he could come in this afternoon. The receptionist said there was no chance of seeing the dentist because they were much too busy and perhaps he could come in on Monday. She never bothered to double check with the dentist at all. That ruffled my feathers! I asked her for a recommendation for another office and she coldly told me to just check the "phone book"! This would never have happened if Andy Woodard still owned the business. He would have stayed over and seen my husband if he needed to. Monday, is a long time to wait when your tooth is broken. Well, I did not check the "phone book" but did get online and found someone who could see him! This place will be getting our business going forward. They handle emergencies and are even open on Saturdays. I called Hutton's office back and told the same receptionist to cancel any future appointments we have with them and I told her why. I told her to be sure to tell the dentist why he lost 2 patients today. So, in case she did not, now they will know. Maybe Dr. Hutton would have tried to work him in, I can't really say since he/she was never asked.

I would choose wisely a family dentistry practice in Columbia. Hutton Family Dentistry will cost you a fortune. The bill pictured below is for ONE TEETH CLEANING! Check out the exorbitant number of x-rays that insurance may or may not cover, at which they don't bother to tell you until you get the shocking bill. This will be our first and last visit needless to say.

Had one of the best cleanings I've ever had by Tracy! Dr. Emilie is great, too. Knowledgeable and kind. The ladies at the front were also very friendly, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and clean. Glad to have found a dental home in Columbia!

Teresa is always great. Tells me what she is doing; listens to my questions and concerns and responds appropriately. Got to meet Dr. Sam today. Usually see Dr. Emalie. He, too, was very pleasant and discussed my questions and concerns. Great experience!

I have had dental anxiety since childhood after my 1st visit with Dr. Hutton I actually sit in my car simply amazed that my dental fear was gone it took a couple of months to complete everything that I needed done from a root canal to a few fillings not any of my appointments caused stress from the 1st time I sit in Dr. Hutton's chair she talked to me explained everything that would be done she answered every question she talked me through my procedures just truly caring and taking time she does excellent work, thanks to Hutton Family Dentist I definitely smile more.

I just had my third visit to Hutton for what I would classify as scary dental treatment. These professionals, from the Front Desk to the dentists and hygienists, are the best I've ever known.
