A native Texan, Dr. McEntire was born and raised in Lufkin where he met his wife Ruth. Growing up he was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, earning the Eagle Scout Award. Dr. McEntire earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.
Dr. McEntire then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, graduating with dual Honors. Following dental school, he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the UT Health Science Center and University Hospital in San Antonio. During his residency he received extensive training in all aspects of dentistry with an emphasis on conscious sedation techniques, restorative/cosmetic dentistry, and dental implants.
Prior to opening Hutto Premier Dentistry in 2008, Dr. McEntire practiced in San Antonio and taught clinical dentistry to dental students at the University of Texas dental school in San Antonio. In 2011, Dr. McEntire earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) award, joining a group of less than 5% of general dentist that earn this award. Because Dr. McEntire believes learning is a life-long process, he completes multiple continuing education courses every year to maintain a current, evidenced-based practice.
Dr. McEntires primary educational focus for many years has been on digital dentistry, CEREC, and implant dentistry. Because he is passionate about these technologies, and about helping other dentists, Dr. McEntire serves a Visiting Faculty Member for CDOCS Education in Scottsdale, AZ. Here he attends multiple courses each year to help teach other dentists.
Outside of work, Dr. McEntire enjoys spending family time with Ruth and their son Jay, and daughter Emily. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, camping, and backpacking. Dr. McEntire has a deep appreciation of music and is an avid guitar player.
Dr. Marek was born and raised in Thorndale and met her husband Blake not far from her hometown, in Granger. Growing up she was involved in high school sports and cheerleading. Dr. Marek earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, which is where her dental passion began. Dr. Marek enjoys spending time with her family, her husband Blake, and daughters Bentley and Presley. She also enjoys fishing, crafting, attending Texas A&M football games, and time with friends. Following her studies at A&M, Dr. Marek earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During her studies she placed an emphasis on children's dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Marek was awarded the Texas Dental Association's Outstanding Senior Dental Student Award and The International College of Dentist's Leadership Award. Dr. Marek completes multiple continuing education courses every year to maintain a current, evidenced-based practice.

I highly recommend Hutto Premier Dentistry! They are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Customer service is outstanding, as is communication. Everyone I have encountered, from office staff to dental hygienists to doctors, are highly professional and competent!

Just to highlight, I would give the Hutto Premier Dentistry staff a 5-star rating for providing "best in class" customer service. The entire staff were very professional and polite. Kudos to Kayla (hygienist) & Dr. McEntire. They were very thorough during the exam and took their time explaining the various aspects of the exam procedures and clearly answered all questions. This is our first year coming to this office and we have been very satisfied with the level of service and customer care. We will be returning and we highly recommend!

We love this family dentist office. The dentist, hygienist, and staff are all superb--professional, friendly and efficient, yet not rushed. Bonus - we can schedule both of us (spouses) at the same time. We've searched 12 years for this kind of place and for wonderful dental experiences.

I love this dental office. It is very clean and all the staff are super friendly. Tiffany was my hygienist and she was so sweet and informative. She checked on me throw out the cleaning to make sure I was not having any pain. Dr. Chen was great also. He worked me in for an emergency crown repair from a crown I got years ago at another dental office. They also give you several different payment options which I really liked. I have had bad luck in the past with dental offices and I do not give out 5 stars very often, but I was truly impressed and I have found my new permanent office.

I have never had anything but exceptional service here. I walked in this morning with a broken crown and a balance. I paid my balance and although they were booked they were able to get me in quickly to fix up my tooth. They are AMAZING!

Shannon, RDH, Dr. Marek, & Emilee were great! All very knowledgeable and friendly! Small town dentist feel with the big city tech. Love that it's not a corporate, cookie cutter office that you see in every other shopping center. HPD does things right.

I had a tooth that broke off and am currently going through cancer treatment. When I called they were able to get me in quickly. I am a high anxiety patient and the tech was very good in keeping me relaxed. The dentist was very professional and gave me referrals to have the tooth removed. Yes, I would recommend using Hutto Premier Dentistry for dental needs.

Beautiful office. Great technology. Friendly staff. Hygienist Kayla & Dr. McEntire were great! Looking forward to the rest of the family being seen. One year update, I love, love, love this location. I have become slightly frustrated as it is EXTREMELY difficult to schedule here. I called for a routine cleaning appointment that is over 2 weeks out and wanted to move to next month and was told they are booked through the end of the year and are booking in January. I came to be a patient of Dr McEntire, except for my initial visit, my family has been seen by another provider without notice until we are in the clinical chair.

Everyone there was incredibly professional and warm. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. The whole procedure was tailored to me and the hygienist and dentist were very attentive. They deserve 6 stars.
