Hutchinson Family Dentistry was established in 2012. Ourdentist office is a result of the merger of two highly respected Hutchinson dentists, Dr. Steven Flinn, and Dr. David Mach. Hutchinson Family Dentistry now has three highly skilled Hutchinson Dentists on staff including, Dr. David Mach, Dr. Jorey Heit and Dr. Daniel Lang. They work together in a convenient location to offer progressive dental technology with extended office hours, along with flexible scheduling.

We relish the fact that we were able to locate our office in a building with such fantastic history! It was very important to us to preserve such a facility, as opposed to building in a completely new location.

We have done a lot of research about our location through Hutchinson Leader news articles and advertisements; studies prepared at the time this property was offered for sale; and a few artifacts we found during our renovation. We want to know everything we can learn about our building and its past and hope that you will share what you know.

As of 1893, the 36 West portion of our property was developed as a stable for the adjoining Merchant Hotel that was located on the corner of Main Street and Washington Avenue. By 1923, this property was redeveloped with two buildings separated by an alley. The 36 West building housed an auto repair facility. The 40 West building was constructed as a steam laundry and operated under the name Hutchinson Steam Laundry. Lee Motors moved into the auto repair place after 1937 when the Fallon Garage, where it had been operating, was torn down to make room for the State Theater.

In March 1946, Sears announced it would open a retail store in the 36 West building. Before opening, Sears expanded the building with a 22 foot by 70 foot addition to the west which effectively attached the 36 West building to the 40 West Building. In addition, Sears remodeled the main floor of the 36 West building and its basement. The store opened in May with huge crowds.

All of the art in our building is from local artists. In our reception area, we feature a Les Kouba print, licensed from Kouba, Inc. You will find many unique pieces of local art throughout our office, all with the purpose of bringing our community into our office.

A unique feature of our office is the fish tank. Our aquarium is all natural and features the type of fish and weeds you would find in local lakes and streams. This is another way we try to bring the comfort of our area inside.

Some of our exterior windows feature historical and current photos from the community. On the front of our building, youll find a historical photo of what the building you used to be, an ice cream delivery facility. On the exterior facing operatories, youll find a changing selection of photos from local artists.

For one year you will receive a 20% discount from the fees we charge for any in house services we provide. This includes all services: fillings, crowns, implants, dentures, sealants, root canals and more. There is no maximum, you will receive a 20% on all in house services.

Once you enroll in the discount plan and pay the fee, you are entitled to one free first visit which consists of: cleaning with the hygienist, examination by the doctor, and whatever x-rays are indicated. For a full year you will receive a 20% discount from the fee we charge for the services that we provide. In order to receive the 20% discount, you must pay for service at (or before) the time of treatment with cash or check. If you pay with debit/credit card or Care Credit the discount amount will only 15%. There is no discount for treatment performed at another office, even if we refer you there.

This discount plan is designed for individuals who do not have other dental insurance. This is a prepaid discount plan, not a form of insurance. It does not apply to co-payments with dental insurance plans.

You can pay with Cash or Check to get the full benefit of a 20% discount. If you pay by Credit/Debit Cards the discount amount will drop to 15% because of the fees charged by Credit Card Merchant. Care Credit can also be used and is a special form of credit card account that provides extended payment options for health related services. Care Credit may be used to pay for the membership. If Care Credit is used to pay for treatment, then there will be 15% discount rather than 20%, because Care Credit already has more than a 5% service charge built into it.

If you cannot pay at or before the time of treatment, then no discount will be given. The 20% discount becomes available for subsequent visits when the account is paid in full. The 20% discount is available only when you pay with cash or check. If extended payment plans are necessary, you might look in to opening a Care Credit account.

This is a discount plan for this practice only. It applies to all of the services that we provide, but there is no discount for outside providers. There are several procedures that are often referred to outside specialists. Some of these procedures are occasionally performed in this practice, in which case the discount would apply, but the doctors of Hutchinson Family Dentistry maintain the authority to refer for treatment elsewhere when they believe the situation warrants. This is particularly true for referrals for Oral surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatric dentistry, Periodontal treatment, and Endodontic treatment.

A free first visit is provided with the membership in the prepaid plan. If you are on a periodontal maintenance program, then your maintenance could be done at your free first visit along with appropriate examination and x-rays. Subsequent visits will be given a 20% discount.

When your membership year comes to a close, you may do it again. You will receive another free first visit and all of the same rules apply. We plan to continue this offer. We may opt to change the program, or discontinue it in the future solely at our own discretion. We will always honor an agreement that we have in place for the defined period of time.
