I understand that coming to a dentist is not easy and can produce feelings of anxiety and stress. This puts you between a rock and hard place when your teeth or jaw give you pain. My goal is to relieve pain and comfort you with a gentle touch while providing professional treatment that helps you achieve brilliant teeth for life. I believe that my work is life changing.
Education & Professional CollaborationI graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry and began working under my father in 1993. He helped teach me many things before retiring two years later after 34 years of providing quality dental care. I value the lessons he taught me and have been connected to the professional community my entire career. I do this through membership to the American Dental Association and Kansas Dental Association, and by attending regional and national conferences and events several times a year. Keeping a line of communication open with other professionals has been invaluable to my mission of providing my patients with the best care available.
In the OfficeI am committed to high standards and have great expectations for all my patients. I have a comprehensive approach to dentistry that creates an experience for you that is informative and comfortable. I will spend time explaining our diagnosis and treatment plan, thoroughly educating you on the particulars of our recommended procedure. I am always happy to spend time discussing and addressing any of your questions or concerns. You will be informed of how to evaluate the process and results. It is important to me that you give the okay to proceed with your treatment, and until you are comfortable, neither am I.
Outside the OfficeI came home to Kansas in 1986 to raise my three boys. This followed my time in military service as a U.S. Marine and serving as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve Dental Corps. I am a lifetime member of the NRA and love hunting, hiking and camping.

Amazing staff, and an amazing doctor. He is great at explaining and answering questions. You feel confident in the care you are getting here. As an anxious patient when it comes to going to the dentist, I was not riddled with fear when arriving for my appointment as I was educated on what was going on and they were very kind answering questions I called in with. Very kind staff. You feel welcomed here and you will leave feeling like you were listened to which is all I can ask for in a doctor.

I had an emergency and I was scheduled promptly. I have anxiety when visiting the dentist and Dr Stucky made me feel relaxed and was constantly checking to make sure I was doing ok. Highly recommend

Dr Stucky has been our family dentist for about 20 years now! He and his staff always go above and beyond! Dr Stucky is very attentive & explains things thoroughly and goes slow if needed! He always makes us feel important & is extremely attentive! His hygienist is one of my favorite humans and she is amazing at her job!

Had an unexpected dental emergency. Hutch Family Dental could get me in. The demeanor on the phone was fantastic, once there, they were AMAZING. Staff and the Doc were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. I would recommend them to anyone. Definitely will be going back for the rest of my dental needs. Thank you all so very much!!

Dr. Stucky is always wonderful. He's always asking if I'm comfortable, am I doing alright, so I need another rinse. One small but big thing is that he always uses my first name to address me. It makes me feel like I am a person that he cares for, not a number. His assistant Summer was amazing. She stayed right beside me, kept conversation going, let me know exactly what she was doing behind me. All staff is incredibly friendly, always professional, very flexible and kind. I will always recommend Dr. Stucky and his staff.

I had an awesome experience. The staff was very friendly yet professional. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in. After I had waited a bit I was checked on and told it would be just a few more minutes. The dental technician explained everything she was doing. Dr was very nice. Gave me options and thoroughly explained each and answered any questions I had. I would definitely recommend Hutchinson Family Dental to friends and family.

I've been going to Hutchinson Family Dental for 13 years. I've always had a good experience. They're very friendly. I won't go anywhere else for many reasons, but here are two: Dr. Stucky only suggests a treatment if he thinks it's necessary; and the imaging technology he uses for making a crown is really accurate--perfect crown every time.
