'Elder Nate' travelled abroad serving others on a two yearLDS mission in Bulgaria. After returning home, he graduated from Southern Utah University. In 2013, he was honored a 'Doctorate of Dental Surgery' from Creighton UniversityOmaha, Nebraska. He excelled on his two-year residency at Childrens Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, specializing in treating pediatric patients and patients with special needs.
Long before dental school, youngNate knew that he wanted to work with children. Growing up with 9 younger siblings and now fathering his own children of four, Dr. Nate loves interacting with children and families. His goal is to provide each of his patients with a fun and positive experience, while giving the best care possible.

We are new to this area and needed a dentist for a 5 year old. Hurricane pediatric dentistry was able to get us an appointment quickly. When we arrived, the atmosphere was very inviting, especially for young kids. Dr. Tyler did such a great job working with my child. He found an abscess tooth and didn't even suggest pulling the tooth!!! This is unheard of with every other dentist we have been to with other kids. Instead, he was able to drain the infection and save the tooth. For this, I would give this office 5 stars! Beyond that, they filled his cavity quickly, and my son left their office hoping to be able to come back next week!!! Maybe he will be okay with 6 months instead.

I appreciate how patient the whole staff is with my children especially my daughter who's had an awful dental injury recently and they have gone at her to pace to help ease her tension and fear.

I love Hurricane Pediatric Dentistry!! Our four year old Autistic son said he had "an ouchie tooth" so we called and they got us in an hour later! This was his first ever Dentist visit and we were very nervous and anxious about it! They were awesome! The Dentist put my son at ease and talked to him about Spider-Man. They were very patient with him being a wiggle worm during x-rays. It turns out that he had just been biting his cheek and his teeth were perfectly healthy and no cavities! He loved going to "The Tooth House" so much, he actually asks to go back. It's just about that time for us to make another 6 month check up for him and I have no worries or stress about it whatsoever. He also got to pick out a toothbrush (a Buzz Lightyear toothbrush) so that made a big impression on him! Thank you for being so patient and gentle with the little ones! As a Mama with a huge dental phobia, it makes me so happy to not have my kids go through that!

The entire staff is professional and compassionate. The office is state of the art and the cleanest I've seen. The location is convenient and saves bothersome trips to the larger city for care. They LOVE what they do and it shows.

I could never thank y'all enough when my children are excited to go to the dentist y'all are so very great every staff member treats you as old friends making each child feel loved and supported hands down best kids dentists in the area we are so grateful we have been lucky to have you with all 5 of our kids

I have been taking my children 17, 15, and 10, to Dr. Tyler at Hurricane Pediatric Dentistry for over 10 years. My daughter has always had EXTREME anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Tyler has made a huge difference in her life. She has APD and struggles with the dental office noises, but Dr Tyler and his staff have always been so good with her. My little boy loves to go to the dentist because their office is such a great place for kids. We love Hurricane Pediatric Dentistry.

REVIEW OF A DENTIST BY A DENTIST!! I was in Hurricane for a family vacation to Zion National Park. My son fell and injured his tooth. I am a dentist in Georgia and was interested to get an x-ray to better understand if I could wait to treat him at home. I entered the office with eyes wide open. From the first phone call I could tell that the receptionists were well trained, and very professional. They worked us in within 2 hours. While I sat in the waiting room I got my first impression of Dr. Shawn. He came out, sat side by side a parent and kindly explained very well how the procedure with her child went. We didn't wait long, in fact we were seen slightly early. All the patients seemed relaxed, and well taken care of. The dental assistants were efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the Doctor was great. I can tell this is a practice that has things together and cares about their patients. And again as a dentist I know what to look for. You will be in good hands here!

I LOVE bringing my kids here. They are so kind and wonderful to them. Dr. Shawn is one of the best dentists that I have ever known and trust him with my own life not just my children's teeth. I highly recommend him and the rest of the staff at Hurricane Pediatric Dentistry.
