Dr. S. Clint Hudson demonstrates high expertise as a dual-degree surgeon and provides care from both a medical and dental perspective. Passionate about continuously learning and advancing his knowledge in his field, Dr. Hudson excels far beyond the standard of care through surgical excellence and treating every patient with honesty and optimal results.
Dr. Hudsons uncle is a retired oral surgeon, so he knew a lot about the field growing up. Initially, Dr. Hudson wanted to become an anesthesiologist but was redirected to dental school. After working for oral surgeons during the summer between his freshman and sophomore year, he fell in love with oral surgery. It is the perfect mix of medicine and dentistry, and he enjoys being a part of the dental community while working in hospitals alongside medical staff.
While Dr. Hudson was completing his dental degree, his uncle was still practicing in Huntsville. He planned on working alongside his uncle throughout residency, but during the fifth year, another dentist in town retired and he bought his practice. Now, Dr. Hudson continues to provide the patients of Huntsville with excellent care and results and builds on his reputation as a trusted and skilled surgical professional. His philosophy of care involves treating patients with honesty and being upfront, providing the same care as if they were his mother.
Dr. Hudson completed his undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He attended dental school at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. To further his education, Dr. Hudson earned his Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
He later completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at the University of Louisville, where he gained hands-on training in a surgical setting. During this time, he learned how to safely administer all forms of anesthesia and monitor patients for their health and safety throughout a surgical procedure.
Raised a hunter, Dr. Hudson enjoys hunting duck and white tail deer. In the summer, he enjoys boating and water sports, especially snow skiing out west. He has a labrador to accompany him on his adventures and a son who he is excited to get into duck hunting.

Every time that Ive come to see Dr. Hudson, Ive had a comfortable experience. All the work that hes done on my teeth has made it easier for me to eat food, and the implants have just worked out really well. Dr. Hudson and his staff are absolutely awesome, and I don't say that lightly. Their knowledge and expertise makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. Without exception every single contact/conversation I've had with them has left me smiling. One day I was returning a call to a staff member and she was not available and Dr. Hudson got on the phone to let me know that, and to update me with information on my case. That's how much he cares. The entire staff is the same. Every time I have called or been to the office, everyone has been very, very caring, thoughtful and delightful. It is obvious they are not just taking care of their clients but personally caring for each individual. In fact, I have to say they make me feel "loved". I had 3 implants done and had only wonderful experiences. Thank you!!!!!

Dr. Hudson is truly amazing!! I have never had an issue with any surgery he has performed on me, never a dry socket!(and I was previously a smoker) He is a great person that has a very professional attitude also very kind. The nurses are fantastic they make sure I am comfortable every time, I have extreme anxiety and they make me feel comfortable as well as Dr Hudson! Highly recommended!

Great oral surgeon! Wait time was very minimal in the office (about 15 minutes). Dr was great! Explained everything well, addressed all of my concerns, and even called me personally to give me test results and check up on me after my surgery. I will not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. They are doing a wonderful job at their practice and you won't be disappointed that you used them.
