  • Dr. Bryan D. Wood General Dentist Dr. Bryan Wood's path to becoming a dentist stems from a passion for working with his hands. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for eight years as a helicopter mechanic. His ambition to become a naval aviator was dashed when he learned that at six and a half feet tall he exceeded the Navy's height limitations. After leaving the service he began his professional career at the University of New Mexico where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. He worked for several years as a dental hygienist in New Mexico and Virginia before entering dental school. Dr. Wood earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. His wife Kristen is a nurse and they have four young boys: Jack, Luke, Alec, and Zachary. When he is not busy being a dad, he enjoys fly fishing and bird watching. His experience as a dental hygienist leads to a particular interest in helping his patients achieve and maintain optimal oral hygiene, function and oral health. Dr. Wood loves his work and continues to stay abreast of the modern advances in dental technologies and implants, through continuing education courses that he attends throughout the year. Currently, Dr. Wood is a standing member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia DentalSociety and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is proud of the expertise and rapport that he has with his patients. You will find him to be meticulous, gentle and caring in providing your dental treatment, and he will always put your best interest first.

I don't know what makes a good dentist office for others, but what I look for is quick, quality work, no upselling of unnecessary, fad treatments, good communication, and clear billing. They do hit it out of the ballpark on each of those things.

All staff in the Dr. Office are helpful and nice. Dr. Wood is very professional and knows what he is doing. You will be taken good care by the Dr and won't get over treatment, which is very important in these days.

I've been going to Dr. Wood since he took over the practice from Dr. Z & Dr. Reynolds. I travel 48 miles each way for the appointments. There is no other dentist I would rather see. I have never had anything even close to a negative experience here.

I would recommend this practice. Dr. Wood is the dentist I would see. I've been coming here for about 3 years now. The office staff are very friendly. I've had several hygienists here. The most recent one was very pleasant and thoroughly cleaned my teeth. She was receptive of me telling her my teeth were sensitive to cold water and modified how she rinsed my mouth. I was very thankful she cared. The prior hygienists I've had haven't been as concerned. I'm giving my rating because there was a time I came and saw another dentist (not Dr. Wood) and when I told him of my teeth sensitivity he purposely place a tool on my tooth that was giving me the most problem and I almost came up out of the chair! I specifically ask for Dr. Wood now when I make my appointments. I don't think the dentist I saw that one time is there anymore. But just to be in the safe side I ask for Dr. Wood. I wanted to wait a couple of times before giving a review. I haven't had an experience like that since. As far as my teeth sensitivity goes I still have it but brushing with Sensodyne as recommend by this practice has helped some.

I really love this place. I was treated by Dr. Bryan Woods' associate, Dr. Anh D. Huynh, DDS. I have been doing a regular cleaning for the past year and I really appreciate their customer services, professionalism and friendliness. The office is very clean and they practice good social distancing. The staff and dentist there seem to really care about you and they tell you honestly on what you need to do/not do. I recommended my wife to go here. I definitely would recommend my family and friends there. Thank you all so much for such an awesome experience!

Clean and modern office and equipment, great office staff, excellent dentist and hygentist. I highly recommend! It was also very helpful that there are signs guiding you to the office because it would be hard for some to find otherwise as it is in the ground floor of a condo complex. Ample parking is also provided.

After visiting Bryan D. Wood dental clinic for the first time I feel totally disappointed from my first visit. After having 2 teeth filled, I feel the work and professionalism was some of the worst I have ever seen. My teeth still bring me pain and after he finished he left residue behind. I then informed the clinic of these issues rescheduled an appointment to be re-seen by the doctor. He was very frustrated with what I had to say about the lack of his own performance, very rough with me as he worked on my mouth, and did not numb my mouth beforehand. As a result, I can no longer chew on the left side of my mouth and my teeth are hyper-sensitive to most foods and fluids. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a professional at his level and he has disgraced his profession. To him I would recommend he control his frustration and take the time to listen to my issues more sincerely and be more empathetic to the needs of his paying patients. to anybody reading; I strongly recommend you don't attend this clinic to avoid the pain and suffering I have gone through

Dr. Hyunh (one of the associates) is the best blend of professional, approachable, and competent! He always responds to questions and concerns with care. I've had teeth cleanings, fillings, and x-rays done here. My husband has also had a crown repair done at this location. We both came away with very positive impressions and highly recommend this dentist. As a plus, all of the receptionists are incredibly friendly and helpful.
