An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Hands down to Alondra and Sabrina for helping me understand different types of insurances! I got confused because it was my first time using dental insurance. Sabrina went above and beyond contacting insurance to verify fees for me and Alondra put me on schedule with the oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth taken out. Trustworthy people

I truly cannot speak highly enough of Modern Dentistry. I've had such low self esteem for many years regarding my smile. From the very first mention of wanting to fix my teeth, Dr. Hussein was all in and asked all the right questions. I could tell immediately that he wanted to get my smile to exactly where I wanted it to be. His care and emphasis on the health and overall look of my teeth was clear. Speaking from a man of wisdom, and although I'm not royal I've been crowned. HBMD is by far the most professional, courteous, sympathetic and adroit dentist office I have ever been to! The staff are great, the dentists superlative and the hygienist Rachel are the best in the biz, so my remaining teeth dazzle!

I came in to see Dr.Hussein today and I was blown away. Not only was he extremely gentle but he was also informative. Unlike most doctors, he didn't try to sell me anything. He gave me really good advice and really showed that he cares about patients overall well being! I can't wait for my next visit!

I absolutely love this office. Every time I come in everyone is so friendly and inviting. I feel so at home. You'd think I'd be nervous or dread coming but truth be told I love it. Everything is new and state of the art. They take scans of your mouth so you can see everything for yourself. They can even do crowns in one day here. You can really tell the staff works really well together. Thank you for making a trip to the dentist so simple and easy.

I've been coming to this dental office routinely for about 2 years now and for each visit Alondra & Sabrina are always accommodating my busy work schedule and always help me with signing up for payment options...At every appointment they're always excited to check me in and I like that I am always seeing the same friendly faces taking my X-rays and assisting Dr.Hussein during my procedures... I took my mother in to have a root canal done at this office on 10/25/2022. She told me the doctor and the assistants where very kind and reassuring during her procedure. My mother was scared and she told me that the assistant was so kind and told her to hold her hand if my mother needed anything. I could not be more pleased with the service and care that she recieved. I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs dental work done to com visit this office.

Dr. Hussein is amazing!!! I fell and my front teeth broke about two weeks ago and I came in to see him as an emergency last minute. I was scared but the doctor made everything easy and he made me two beautiful veneers. Now my smile looks even better than before. Highly recommend. Thank you, Dr. Hussein.

I worked with Dr. Smith and Rachel who are both so kind and gentle, talked me through everything, and we're understanding and slowed things down when I needed. I came in to see doctor Hernandez last week cuz my back tooth hurt. He was so kind and attentive, did a crown for me and I left the office after 2 hrs with a beautiful crown. Front office ladies were also fun to talk to. I'll definitely come back to see doctor Hernandez

7/28/22: I just had a terrible prolonged experience with Huntington Beach Modern Dentistry. For now, suffice it to say after paying a fortune to have a modified partial denture adjusted (add an extra tooth after one was extracted) they left me with a Partial that just falls out and could be dangerous if used. Their solution was don't wear it then. They refused to repair it or send it back to the lab Or provide a full refund for all the monies I've spent for this partial, saying it must be that my teeth shifted in the last three weeks rather than that somehow the lab got it wrong. What is strange is the "temporary partial" that I had worn before I got the permanent partial still fits fine before and after the extraction and if it's fine now. In addition I have two other "temporary partials" that I wore since 2985, and they still fit fine. For now I'm just going to have to use the latest, old temporary partial. Dr. Hussein's remark to me is I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm not a dentist and he is. That doesn't help a bit when my appliance doesn't fit. Also, I'm not impressed with how "modern" they are. I thought they were able to make accurate scanned 3-D models of my mouth, but he seems like this is foreign to him and he has no idea how to read accurately the 3-D scan of the mouth and compare it to what the partial denture. Very disappointing. 7/29/22 HBMD posted a Published a reply asking me to call. I responded immediately by calling. 8/2/22 completely apart from HBMD, I took off time from work and had the appliance properly fitted at a local dental lab. It was easy and quick. They confirmed Dr. Hussein's conclusion that my teeth had moved in those few days, was incorrect. 8/3/22: I am still waiting to hear back from HBMD if they have any remedy for the unacceptable conclusion to my needing a functioning appliance and how rudely I was treated. I hope no other of their patients need go through this poor treatment. 9/9/22 still waiting!
