Dr. Richard K. Wong hails from Brooklyn, NY, and always had a deep love for the sciences. His passion led him to test into the nationally-renowned STEM school, the Bronx High School of Science, the school that formed the basis for the Midtown School of Science and Technology in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He later achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brooklyn College and was admitted to the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Maryland after scoring 99th percentile Academic Average on the Dental Admission Test. Currently, he is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association.
Dr. Wongachieved Diplomatestatus of Implantology through the International Dental Implant Association, which is the highest honor in this organization through implant case submissions and review of clinical skills during live patient surgeries. Dr. Wong's passion for implant surgery also pushed him to pursue and complete an Advanced Implant Residency with a Mastership at the prestigious Bites Institute in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Wong is also an accredited Fellow after completing the Implant Fellowship Program at NYU/Dental XP.
Dr. Wong's desire for clinical excellence allowed him to attain a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. An achievement only 6 percent of general dentists achieve in the USA, as well as Canada. To achieve his Fellowship, Dr. Wong completed over 500 hours of training in various disciplines of dentistry, as well as passing a rigorous comprehensive written exam that encompasses alldisciplines of dentistry.
A lifelong learner and autodidact who invests over 100hours a year in training, Dr. Wong strives to hone his skillsets by reading textbooks, learning from the top practitioners in their respective fields, and participating in hands-on courses. He regularly performs root canals, extractions, bone grafting, implants, crowns, and bridges, as well as fillings. His mission isto provide quality dental care in a pleasant, comfortable environment and hopes to alleviate any dental fears that you may have one smile at a time.
Outside of the office, Dr. Wong enjoys playing computer games, tinkering with tech, doing numerous DIY projects, and watching sci-fi shows. Spending time with his two children and his wife, Mary by exploring local restaurants and hiking local trails. He also believes in living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys spending time in the gym lifting weights.

I'm scared to death of the dentist but after meeting and talking with Dr Wong and seing how experienced he and his staff are and showing me all the latest dental technology. I had the greatest experience I've ever had at a dentist.

Dr Wong and all of the staff here are really good at what they do! Dr Wong has extensive knowledge of the profession and a broad repertoire of available procedures, to make sure each problem is met with the best possible solution. They have a very welcoming and easy atmosphere and are focused on each of their clients long term health. But don't just take my word for it, try Huntington Dental Care yourself.

I quite frankly found Dr Wong and Huntingdon Dental Care by accident. I truly feel that I was led to this practice by God. Anyway what a pleasant and wonderful experience it has been. Dr Wong, Mary and his staff are great and the level of skill and knowledge this man has is truly gift and I'm sure hard work. I highly recommend giving this practice your consideration wether looking for a dentist or you are in need of surgery. He's this areas best kept secret as far as I'm concerned and we need to get the message out. If you don't want to wait 3 or more months to see a surgeon he's your Doctor. I had implant surgery and so far have had a pain free experience in all ways. During and after surgery. If you do decide to make the call I hope and pray your experience will be as great as mine.

Love Huntingdon Dental Care . Dr. Wong is kind and knowledgeable. Beautiful and energetic Mary is a wonderful example of taking care of patient needs and details. Angela, takes the time she and her patient needs, to attend to your thorough and educational cleaning. The additional support staff are kind and professional. Always a good experience. The staff do their best to accommodate.

The staff at Huntingdon Dental Care are super friendly and extremely accommodating when it comes to patient care. The office is modern and the practices are contemporary, which made me feel as if I was receiving the best care. The dental Hygienist, Angie, is an absolute riot and made me feel welcome and cared for. This business is a well needed breathe of fresh air in a small town.

Dr Wong, Mary, and the entire staff are incredible. They are friendly, caring and provide tremendous care. Regardless of whether it's a checkup or I need more in depth work done they have made what is usually a necessary evil I to an enjoyable experience. I can't recommend them more highly.

Easy location with a lot of parking. The staff are 100% kind, caring, and professional. They made you feel welcome from the time you walked in the door until you walked back out. Dr. Wong is the most incredible dentist I have ever been to! Kind, compassionate, competent and super talented. I can't say enough good things about my experience there. I don't have dental care and everything was extremely affordable, too. My only regret? I wish I had known about them sooner!
