Dr. Craig Hunter graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors degree in Spanish, which he speaks fluently. He went on to dental school at the University of Colorado.He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Straightening teeth is a passion that runs in the Hunter family.Dr. Hunters father practiced orthodontics in Pueblo for 35 years!Following his dads example and sharing his love for Pueblo, Dr. Hunter is thrilled to be part of the Pueblo community.

I am the newest to the team. I started working here in 2021 and enjoy learning new techniques everyday. We have such a great team here and I am excited to see what is to come. We are always doing fun and exciting events, parties, and celebrating our patients on a weekly basis.
I love spending my days helping the best people get the healthy, beautiful smile they deserve. I joined the team in 2006 and have made some wonderful, lasting friendships with our patients and their families. It is a joy to get to know who each person is, hearing about their lives and interests during their visits. I recently am expanding my skills as the lab technician.

I have been working for Hunter Orthodontics since 2001, attended the dental assisting program at Pueblo Community College, and did my internship here. Im pretty legit! Im married to my high-school sweetheart and we have a son. I enjoy the Zen experience of practicing yoga. I also love crafting and the gratification it brings. I love the outdoors, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
I have been working chairside with Dr. Hunter since 2006. My favorite part about working at Hunter Orthodontics is seeing the patients smile when they leave. We love to keep a positive environment for our patents and we just have a lot of fun here. I try to make our patients feel comfortable before leaving us, in hopes they have a smile on their face.
I enjoy working with patients and their families to accomplish a great goal: a beautiful smile! I joined the team in 1999 and love being in a practice where everyone is devoted to helping people achieve their dream smile. I ensure patients are able to get the care they need without the vexation of financial stress. Working with families, we find financial arrangements that fit with their budget. I also bill insurance companies for patients.
I love spending time with my husband and four beautiful children. Being with family and friends, especially outdoors, makes me happy. I enjoy losing myself in a good book without interruptions. I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes and de-stressing with TRX.
As clinical coordinator, I make sure everything runs smoothly throughout our day, as well as provide patient care. Its rewarding to help people I care about develop a smile theyll love for a lifetime. I joined Hunter Orthodontics in 1998 and I know we have the best team. I love working for Dr. Hunter because he has a great sense of humor and hes just a cool dude! As for the rest of the team, we always know how to get the job done, while making it a fun environment for our patients as well.
Im a wife and mother of two amazing kids. In my spare time, Im often at the ballpark, enjoying baseball and softball, or spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my niece and nephew whom I adore!
My job consists of welcoming new patients into our office and making their transition into the orthodontic experience stress-free. I was trained to be new patient coordinator within the office and have been working at Hunter Orthodontics since 2003. We believe that every patients case is unique and we will customize each one. We try to have a positive place for our patients and have so much fun here.

The staff that works here is absolutely amazing. They take the time to learn each person individually and know my kids when they come in and ask how their school and sports are going. Dr. Hunter and his staff are true professionals in every aspect. 5 star recommend to anyone who needs orthodontic care and treatment.

Such a great experience for 2 of my children. Every single member of the staff are super welcoming at both offices. Being comfortable and having a great experience as a child in a "dentist office" means more than anyone could explain. It really sets them up for great oral care. One of my 2 children just completed the first phase for his braces and it flew by! My step son is everything but gentle. Anytime he popped a wire or bracket Hunter Orthodontics helped us out asap. Thank you guys for being so great to the Cordova/Sanchez family.

Unfortunately, I did not have such a good experience here. I called every dentist here in town an asked who they would recommend for orthodontic treatment, an the majority of them all suggested Dr. Hunter . An I was a bit hesitant due to there locations an scheduling availability , an a few other aspects but I decided to try here an also after reading the reviews. I've been wanting my teeth fixed since I was younger and I decided I wanted to fix my smile and help boost my self esteem and confidence and also overall mouth comfort with my bite . On there website there site says there affordable, but unfortunately there the most expensive place in town , I went to multiple consults other then Hunters and they all gave me about the same treatment plan and time frame that Hunters Also suggested but the other orthodontics I went to also had other bonuses of included extras for a good comfortable price .I hear a lot of you say you get what you pay for but ,honestly from my experience I would of never started with Dr. Hunters office if I would of known I would of been treated so rudely by some of the staff and also feeling so uncomfortable and Not welcome . Dr.Hunter seems nice it's just the environment and some of the staff that makes the experience not worth it . I got my braces on December 7th 2021 ,was having issues with the bite turbos that they placed behind my teeth ,the pain was horrible, I went back in an they put on some other things that go on the brackets to help me to not bite my bottom brackets . Even from the gecko of getting them on I was experiencing so much negative side effects from the braces and the staff was treating me as if I was a baby and that I just needed to get used to it , I knew it would be a little painful with braces as I have heard so I was prepared for that before but what I was experiencing was not normal in my opinion. I was having severe burning and itching in the mouth , sores , rash around my mouth ,swollen lips throbbing pain to the point were over-the-counter pain medication's did not even do nothing to help I tried to make it through but the side effects were so severe that I had to remove my braces myself on Sunday December 12,2021 due to nothing being open. Today December 13,2021 I decided it's in my best interest to discontinue treatment at Hunters orthodontics Due to my experience among other reasons , i feel like I screwed myself over starting here and now I might not be able to even continue treatment elsewhere and try something else like Invisalign due to my reaction to braces because now my financial situation is hurt due to the fees that Hunters office is charging me for stopping treatment I even offered to bring back the appliances that were applied the braces and the two bite turbos . Instead of owing I should honestly be getting a refund for my $250 down payment I made to start treatment. I get there's certain fees associated with getting braces . I ask in kind heart if the amount that you suggested that I owe can be forgiven an also a possible refund for my down payment of $250 . If there's anything you can do to help please let me know .

My son had a terrible under bite and very crooked teeth. Dr. Hunter did a wonderful job correcting these problems with my son's mouth. The staff is very professional. We loved how quick each appointment was and that there was never a wait.

Provided my insurance for braces. 6 months later I changed jobs and then got a notice that I owe $1500 because my last insurance was not charged when the services were done. I had insurance when the service was rendered. Why was it not charged when the braces were put on. Now I will not have insurance for another month. Even then I'm not sure if they will cover this cost so soon. I'm sorry to say you will not be getting $1500 from me because staff failed to charge the insurance when they were supposed to. If I could actually get through to your office by phone I would be happy to discuss the issue.

I can't say enough great things about Hunter Orthodontics. From orthodontic treatment, the amazing staff and everything in between, it has been an amazing experience! I highly recommend Hunter Orthodontics and will be bringing my son to them once he is ready for his braces!

I was a transfer braces patient and my treatment continued smoothly and quickly. Dr Hunter is very nice and does a great job. Just got my braces off today and I'm obsessed with the results. Thank you guys!!

Thoroughly impressed with the staff and Dr. Hunter! We had a mishap with a retainer eaten by a dog and the office got us in almost immediately, mind you, we were not current patients, and had new retainers made that afternoon. Could not have asked for a better experience and we will be back!
