Dr. Hunt began his professional education at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduation, Dr. Hunt remained in Indianapolis and completed a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics before entering private practice.
Dr. Hunt enjoys getting to know each patient and answering their questions. He proudly holds memberships in an array of professional organizations, including the American and Michigan Dental Associations, the American and Michigan Association of Orthodontics, and the Muskegon Dental Society.
Dr. Hunt loves giving back to Newaygo, Oceana, and Muskegon counties, as he proudly supports the United Way of the Lakeshore. He also supports many local sports teams, bands, choirs, and school yearbooks throughout the community; and he is active at Port City Church.

Choosing Dr. Hunt and his team to care for you and your family means you will be receiving excellent care backed by 30 years experience. Dr. Hunt prides himself on attention to detail, while building relationships with all who walk through our doors.
We understand life is busy and can be very hectic, so we are able to see patients in 3 different locations for your convenience. Our office has hours that we hope you will find convenient, including after hours as needed.
Lastly, having orthodontic treatment (whether its braces or Invisalign) will mean investing your hard earned money. We will work with you to figure out a payment schedule that you are comfortable with and suits your needs.
Your first visit to our orthodontic office is an exciting time! Its a chance for us to get acquainted, determine if treatment is necessary, and to also discuss whether we should begin now, or wait until later. You should plan for up to an hour with us for the first time. We will take some pictures from you and Dr. Hunt will come in, explain your diagnosis, and present some treatment options. You will have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have, and find out the cost of treatment and payment plan options.
It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We also offer the options of in-house financing and third-party payment through Care Credit. We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs If you have insurance that covers orthodontic treatment, we will help you determine your benefit and file your claims for you.

Doctor was nice and staff was friendly. I had two children go here. The first was a real stinker and was told to let his teeth go back crooked and he can pay to fix again when he is older. The second child was good but when they took the braces off said we didn't need to come back, she was done--no follow ups. Not satisfied with the end service and resulting crooked teeth after the thousands spent to straighten. I had braces when I was younger. You shouldn't have to pay again to keep straightened teeth.

Doctor Hunt does excellent work and communicates well (even with recalcitrant teenagers). The staff runs an incredibly efficient practice, but they are still considerate and understanding when you have scheduling issues. I only regret that I have but 5 stars to give.

My daughter has been under Dr. Hunt's care for a few years. I have always had the best customer service care. Appointments are convenient and easy to make. The staff is very welcoming and friendly! We have had two emergencies & Dr. Hunt has met us and took great care of her. He explains everything very well and sends us home with supplies needed.

Office clean. Staff helpful with scheduling appts around our calendar, financing, and answering questions, including those about jaw surgery. We appreciated Dr Hunts suggestion to look into it, the time he took with us to explain it, and to provide a viable solution in the short-long term to work with our decision to postpone consideration of the surgery. Our son's smile looks great. Thank you Dr Hunt and staff.
