Dr. Hunt, Jr. develops an individualized treatment plan based upon your specific orthodontic needs and offers clear ceramic braces, traditional metal braces, and invisible aligners such as Clear Align, ClearCorrect, Simpli5, and Red White and Blue. For the patient, this means not only addressing your orthodontic concerns, but also formulating and educating you on our specific goals in developing your unique smile.
Since 1969, numerous SC and Greenville area dentists, physicians, and other health care professionals have chosen Hunt Orthodontics for the treatment of themselves, their families, friends, and their staff members. We are truly honored by the trust that these individuals have placed in our office for their orthodontic care.
Dr. Hunt, Jr. knows first hand what it feels like to have orthodontic treatment. Before graduating Christ Church Episcopal School in his hometown of Greenville, SC, he was an orthodontic patient of his fathers, Dr. Hunt, Sr. Dr. Hunt, Jr. graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1993 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with Honors. Dr. Hunt, Jr. then attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1998 and graduated with Honors. To pursue his love of orthodontics, Dr. Hunt, Jr. received both his Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics in 2001 from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Hunt, Jr.s masters thesis research at CWRU was accepted in 2004 for publication in the worlds pre-eminent orthodontic research journal, The American-Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, for original research in craniofacial growth and three-dimensional radiography (x-rays)
Dr. Hunt, Jr.holds active memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, South Carolina Dental Association, Piedmont Dental Society and the Greenville County Dental Society. Dr. Hunt, Jr. is past president of the South Carolina Association of Orthodontists (2008-2009) and The Greenville CountyDental Society (2018-2019).
In May 2008, Dr. Hunt, Jr. was certified in the Wilckodontics or the Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics procedure. Dr. Hunt, Jr. is the first orthodontist in the upstate of SC and the Greenville area to be trained and licensed to provide this exciting treatment for his patients.
Dr. Hunt, Jr. enjoys attending continuing education courses to bring our patients the most up-to-date advances in orthodontic treatment and technology. Dr. Hunt, Jr. also enjoys working with nationally known dental lecturers providing orthodontics for their patients overall dental treatment plans. Dr. Hunts orthodontic results have been presented by these dentists at local, regional, national and international dental meetings.
When Dr. Hunt, Jr. is not furthering his orthodontic knowledge and taking care of your orthodontic treatment, he enjoys playing the guitar with the Honky Tonk band The Note Ropers, golf, and restoring classic automobiles. Dr. Hunt, Jr. and his wife, Vicky, live in Greenville with their daughters , Ryan, Helen, Cameron and son, Donald III.

My son is currently being treated by Dr. Hunt and his team. We have had a very positive experience with everyone we've encountered. We've worked through issues with insurance until completely resolved and we've received our money, they've been understanding when we've rescheduled last minute and even missed appointments. We are sure that our son is getting the best treatment in Greenville. We appreciate the dedication to our son's smile!

If you are in need of a GREAT Orthodontist look no further than Hunt Orthodontics. Dr. Hunt and his staff are awesome. They always make sure I know and understand what adjustments are being made and why. They do their best to meet our scheduling needs, and offer great payment plan options. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful.

Dr. Hunt has been my daughter's orthodontist for the past 6 months. He has taken great care of her and we are beyond pleased with her progress. The receptionists are welcoming and helpful. Additionally, we have never waited long for her appointments.

Dr. Hunt has been excellent throughout my teenage years into adulthood. I had a loose permanent retainer and returned to have him fix everything after years of enjoying straight teeth. Assistant Lexi did a great job as well. Highly recommend Dr. Hunt and team for anyone in the area. Always accessible and polite.

Great place! Staff is outstanding. Very helpful, understanding and patient. My ADHD son goes here. Transferred from ALABAMA and they were able to accommodate our needs and pick up where we left off. Dr. Hunt is amazing.

Great atmosphere.. very smooth transition and little to no wait time in the lobby when I have appointments! I've come in a couple times with no appointments due to wire slips and bracket malfunction ( my own fault) and have had the same experience with little to no wait time. Would recommend to anyone of any age. Dr. Hunt knows what he is doing and takes the time to know you as a person and not just you as a number.
