Dr. Richard Hunt (right) is a native of Rocky Mount and represents the third generation of dentists in the Hunt family. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC School of Dentistry in 1989.
Drs. Hunt, Hunt & Gorham are very proud of the education they received at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry but realize that it was simply a solid foundation to build upon. They have continued to layer on countless hours of postgraduate education in order to remain on the cutting edge of modern dental care. In addition to being lifelong students, Drs. Richard & Amy Hunt serve as members of the Visiting Faculty of the Pankey Institute where they enjoy teaching other dentists about to joy and rewards of practicing patient-centered care.
Our doctors also understand that dentistry is a team sport so they have hired and trained a team of professionals that they love to work with. Each member of their dream team plays a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for every patient, every time. We love what we do and it shows.
Dr. Hunt realizes the importance of lifelong learning and attends over 100 hours of continuing education every year in order to remain knowledgeable about current topics and techniques in his profession.
Dr. Amys passion for continuing education and lifelong learning led her and Dr. Richard to participate in thousands of hours of advanced continuing education and training from both the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy.
Dr. Amy Hunt is a native of Vero Beach, Florida. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC School of Dentistry in 1991 and currently serves on the board of directors for the UNC Alumni Association. She has served as president of the Fifth District Dental Society and volunteers regularly to treat patients through the Donated Dental Services program.
Dr. Amys passion for continuing education and lifelong learning led her and Dr. Richard to participate in thousands of hours of advanced continuing education. Her goal is to create a dental practice committed to personalized care. She has completed the rigorous curriculum at two prestigious institutions The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Hunt is also an active member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Andrew (Drew) Gorham is thrilled to be living and working in the town that he grew up in. As a native of Nash County, he is extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve his community. After high school, Dr. Gorham attended Hampden-Sydney College where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He continued his education at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. As a professional, Dr. Gorham understands the importance of lifelong learning with over 100 hours of continuing education each year including attending the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Gorhams values and skills make him a perfect fit with the team at Hunt & Hunt Dentistry. He feels fortunate to work with mentors like Drs. Richard and Amy Hunt who are committed to exceptional patient-centered care.

IT WAS AS PAINLESS AS A HAIRCUT!!! I have been to over 6 dentistry's, including one overseas and had well over 3-4 fillings each time I've visited them. I can without a second thought state that Dr. Drew Gorham and his outstanding assistant, Gabby Hunt, have been the two most pleasant, informative, and enjoyable people I have ever visited for my teeth. So I don't sound like a normal review, I'll give y'all a glimpse of my experience: From the start, I was treated with the upmost respect by Faith, their desk representative, and Sharon Drake their Financial Coordinator. They were both honest and upfront about pricing and scheduling (they were very kind as well)! Dr. Gorham and Gabby were very delicate with me and paid very close attention to any indication of pain as well. Dr. Gorham explained right about everything before he operated so I faced no surprises; this made the experience SO much easier. Their pricing is Super fair as well!!! I never thought dentist work would be easy. This was the best dentistry I've ever dealt with, for sure coming back again!

Great dental experience - greeted and treated warmly by a caring, competent and professional staff in a lovely office. The hygienist did an excellent job and the procedure performed by Dr. Richard Hunt was second to none. I plan to continue to use Hunt & Hunt Dentistry for my future dental needs and will not hesitate to recommend their services.

If you're looking for a great group of people to care for your oral health, I highly recommend Hunt & Hunt Dentistry. Dr. Richard and Amber make a great team. Jennifer is a terrific hygienist, and the front and back-office personnel are also. I'm confident the rest of the team is just as wonderful.

In my 50+ years as a dental and orthodontics patient, I have never encountered or experienced the level of professionalism, competence, and integrity as I did in the offices of Hunt & Hunt Dentistry. As someone who has had some horrible experiences within the dental industry, Dr. Amy and her long-term staff, went above and beyond, to ensure that I felt completely safe, heard, and well taken care of. The simple fact that each and every team member that serviced my appointment(s), be it the hygienist, technician, or the dentist , were all well versed with my dental history, concerns, and what I hoped to accomplish during my visit(s). This is a well-oiled team of professionals that I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank You!!!! I am a lifelong client :)

I have been going to this dentist facility for 20 + years. I look forward to going twice a year for teeth cleanings. All the staff members are always friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. At times when I have needed immediate attention for dental problems I have been fixed up within 24 hours.

My husband and I recently moved here from PA. One of the most difficult things about a move is trying to find great doctors in your area. We were lucky to find Hunt and Hunt through the recommendation of a friend. This place is the most professional dental office I have been to and experienced. From the initial walk through when you step foot in the door, to the details of your appointment, to finishing at checkout. Everyone treats you as family and is so helpful! Dr. Lestini and Gabby have helped me feel at ease with their expertise and knowledge of dental care with the work I've had done and have gone beyond my expectations and desire for perfection! I couldn't ask for a better team of people for my dental needs!

After a traumatic dental visit and a period of almost 10 years with no dental service, finding Dr. Amy Hunt in 2013 was a true blessing. To say that Dr. Amy is amazing would be an understatement. She is the epitome of kindness, gentleness and professionalism. She takes the time to listen, to REALLY listen to what I need...and I like that!!

M. Woods: Since i don't type anymore, Dr. Richard Hunt was kind enough to assist me in typing this referral....... I have only seen Richard Hunt once and he is great eye-candy! I see Amy Hunt every three months and will continue to see her until either I pass or she retires no matter where I live. Seldom do I recommend anyone, but Amy is the best there is. Had she been my dentist in my early years, I wouldn't have the fear that I came to her with. She has made my dental appointments absolutely enjoyable! Although I am her biggest baby, she has the patience of JOB! Once you visit Amy, you will be back! Response: Max, thank you so much! You know how to make Dr. Richard blush! This is a dentist office like no other. When I walked in I was just in awe. The layout is beautiful, clean and calming! My dentist-Dr Drew was kind, and informative. I had a great experience, I feel like I can trust him with my dental care because of the professionalism that he exudes. The dental hygienist Jennifer was so sweet and gentle. My cleaning went well! I'm looking forward to my visits here :) Also, the best part of coming here is that I didn't have to remove my wires on my braces before going here. They worked around my ortho work unlike other dental offices. Talk about accommodating! To conclude, I definitely recommend making Hunt & Hunt your place of dentistry. Everyone is welcoming, kind and professional! (Excuse the bad photography, was busy getting to know the awesome staff at the time. Hehehe. )
