IN MY OPINION FRAUDULENT AND TOLD ME I NEEDED THOUSAND OF DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK THAT I DID NOT NEED!! PLUS THEY KNEW I HAD NO INSURANCE !! At first I thought they were lovely, very friendly and professional. Then the exam started and they pretty much told me I needed over 8K in work and most of my back teeth needed bridges, I needed an extensive cleaning that would take place over three appointments. I had lost my coverage at this time and was freaked out because I never had problems with my teeth before I figured because I hit the 50 mark. Then after I did one of the cleanings inbetween one of my teeth in the front broke and it was jagged and I was horrified. I called to see if they could fit me in for an emeregency and the best they could offer was a week out. I had to go to Sunrise Dental instead who were kind enough to fit me in and I was super impressed. He also did an exam while I was there and told me my teeth were in GREAT shape and I did not need any bridges or extensive cleaning. I was baffled and very sad that Hunsaker obviously was not truthful. I would also like to add that the benefits person at Hunsaker ( I believe her name was Lori) was the most UNHELPFUL, she told me she had no idea what type of insurance they take because they take so many. I mean what kind of answer is that? I was trying to get insurance and wanted to know which one they accepted and she has no list or information on that? Is that not her job to get and know that? NEVER AGAIN!! I immediately switched to SUnrise and am so glad I did. If my tooth did not break I would be out all that money and did not even need the work. NOT COOL. PLEASE READ THE OTHER TWO REVIEWS ON HERE THAT MENTION THE SAME TYPE OF UNETHICAL PRACTICE

I had an appointment for a cleaning. I received a text to arrive 5 minutes before my appointment, I did. I was directed to the back fairly quickly. I was told who would be preforming the cleaning. A very nice young lady "polished and flossed " my teeth. I was then told the dentist would be in in a few minutes. I could hear people laughing and talking (I'm assuming employees as the dentist isn't usually a place you laugh at). After waiting 25 minutes I asked how much longer it would be. I was told the dentist was with another patient. I left and will now make sure my insurance does not pay for a service I did not receive. There are dentist on every street corner, do not stop at this one. Very poor customer service!

Cannot trust Monmouth dental office. They are UNETHICAL. Overcharge then take 6 weeks to give a refund. They tell you they will put you in a lottery for $25 if you give them a review online. Sleazy.

I had my wisdom teeth removed January 2021. I showed up and the intake nurse took my pill that I didn't yet take because the "anesthesia would take care of me"... Still not sure where that pill went. The next day I got nauseous from the pain meds and they "came back up" which looking online can cause a dry socket. I was in SO much pain after this, more than I ever had been in (though I have a very high pain tolerance) (I've delivered one of my kids natural) nothing has hurt me like this. I called after 4 days and the same woman told me it was normal. I gave the same examples of my pain tolerance and was still told it was normal, I exclaimed the pain was not normal, but was dismissed "dry sockets happen like, 1% of the time". I was running low on meds and called back to see about getting more. They denied me because hunsaker "doesn't like to do that". I requested to be seen and sent pictures of my sockets (black), and was made to wait 2 days more. When I was seen they confirmed I in fact had a dry socket. NO apologies,no more pain meds, just packed it and had me on my way. This is the WORST I have ever been treated, the WORST bedside manner I've ever dealt with. Luckily my personal doctor prescribed me more pain meds for the dry socket and she even commented how UNPROFESSIONAL it was for Hunsaker to NOT treat his own Patient. A dry socket is the worst pain, I had to work, go to a 2 day work training and be a mother to two on top of the pain. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place unless you don't mind Helga's house of pain. Just crazy they think it's ok to treat people this way. I'm in management and deal with people, so I'm speaking from experience. Go somewhere where they will actually care and listen to you. #TrustYourOwnBody

I used to work for Hunsaker Dental in Monmouth for almost 2 years. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to resign due to all of the treatment I had to undergo. I wanted to say through my entire experience Hunsaker Dental treated me like family and nothing less. As an employee I felt welcomed and liked, also encouraged to do my best and I felt very valued. Once I was diagnosed and went through chemotherapy, they helped me so much and did fundraisers with t-shirts for me to raise money for all of the costs of my treatment. From my perspective, I can tell you all of the doctors are wonderfully trained under Dr. Hunsaker and he is a mastermind that loves teaching the other doctors his ways and how to be the best, most caring dentist for every patient that walks through the door. He values all of his patients and ensures the treatment the patients are receiving is accurate and the best out there. Dr. Stringham is quite the jokester, but he helps relieve so much anxiety for anxious patients with his corny jokes, he lightens the mood so much and makes most patients laugh so hard. He is very well trained by Dr. Hunsaker and his father(who is also a dentist) to find any cavities in the mouth and make sure to give the best treatment possible and save as many teeth as possible in the process. Dr. Huang is such a caring resourceful dentist. She always makes sure to take the time to let the patient explain themselves and what's going on with their teeth. She is brilliant just like all of the other doctors here, but also has a great personality and is so determined to do what's best everyday for everyone! She is also always determined to save as many teeth as possible and take away the minimal amount if she can. I miss working with this wonderful staff everyday. I could go on about the front office, hygienists, and Dental assistants, but I feel this is already getting too long. I felt it would be best to share this from a different perspective. All of the staff is consistently trained to do what's best for every kind of patient and how to help them. It is our passion to help people find their best smile and feel beautiful! If I could go back to work, I would go back to Hunsaker Dental in a heartbeat. You won't regret coming here, you will have an amazing experience.

I was charged $840 to replace two old fillings. OUCH!!!! I feel cheated. I won't go back. BEWARE pricing is far above other dentists in the area. Also, work seems sub-standard, as I cannot floss between teeth and there is a rough spot on the back of one of the teeth

This was a wonderful visit! I woke up this morning with a lot of pain and called this office for the first time just hoping to get an appointment for some time this week. I spoke to Lauri and after I explained my situation she got me a visit today! I got to work with Dr. Hunsaker and Maddie and they got me fixed up immediately; I was in and out in just over an hour. They were willing to work with me for payments and digging up insurance. Overall my visit was absolutely great, lots of positive attitudes and helpful people.
