Led by our principal dentist, Dr. Robert Appel, our mission is to treat you as a whole person and administer treatment in Humble, TX, and the surrounding communities of Atascocita, Porter, Ramblewood, Moonshine Hill, Bordersville, and Kenswick with gentle and compassionate care.

Dr. Appel was born and raised in Michigan and earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, before continuing on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
I really enjoy problem solving, and each patient presents with a different set of challenges. Those challenges give me the opportunity to use my training and bring out the best in their smiles with a blend of art, science, engineering, and medicine. Dr. Robert Appel
Dr. Appel married his wife, Annie, in October 2016. They spend lots of time with nieces and nephew in Richmond, TX. They have a rescue dog named Clyde (like Bonnie and Clyde), a Cairn Terrier and Yorkie mix who is 11 lbs. of boundless energy.
Yukie comes from Iwakuni, Japan, where she attended dental assisting school. She met her husband while he was stationed there as a member of the United States Marine Corp. They stay busy with their children, one of whom recently graduated from UT Austin.
Yanet was born and raised here in Houston and is an expert at dental hygiene, having received her degree from Lonestar College Kingwood. She truly enjoys making other people smile and loves that she can use her knowledge and skills to improve peoples oral and overall health. She stays up to date with the latest research by being active in the American Dental Hygiene Association, Texas Dental Hygiene Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Hygiene Association.
Before joining our team she worked in several other private practices in the Houston area giving her a wealth of experience. Her practice philosophy closely aligns with ours in that she enjoys building relationships with patients and providing gentle care in a calm environment. What she loves about Humble Dentistry is that we have a close knit team of experts who work together to provide the best care for each individual patient.
Prior to becoming a dental hygienist she worked at a veterinary hospital as an animal rehab and fitness technician. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, biking, hiking, working out, and exploring the Houston restaurant scene. She loves music festivals and plays the tenor saxophone.
Norma helps our patients understand their current dental health and focuses on ensuring all of our patients are making progress toward achieving their dental and overall health goals. Her role focuses on coordinating with Dr. Appel and the rest of the clinical team to keep your treatment on track.
Prior to her time here, Norma spent seven years working in an oral surgery office in the Woodlands. Norma, born and raised in Houston, lives here in Humble with her spouse, two daughters and Miniature Schnauzer (Luna crowned princess of the house). She earned her degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Houston and University of Phoenix. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, trips with family, spinning or cycling classes, dancing, and decorating for parties and events.

The staff at Humble Dentistry are great. They take good care of my teeth. They take their time to make sure my teeth are clean and healthy. The front office as well as the other staff members are always kind, courteous, and professional. Great Dental office!

Dr.Appel and his intire staff is nothing but amazing! Both my children ages 12 and 6 needed some work done and Dr.Appel was so soft spoken and gentle with them both especially my 6year old he made sure she was very comfortable and communicated with her the intire time. Im happy to say we have finally found our family dentistry office! Thanks Humble Dentistry!

BEST DENTIST EVER!!!! He is extremely talented, gentle, knowledgeable and explains things so well. He makes sure you understand everything and you also get educated while you are waiting in the dentist chair as well. I mean it doesn't get any better than this. The staff amazing !!! His team and Dr. Appel really care about their patients and they treat you so good and they also work with you to make sure you get the treatment you need and they are just the best hands down!!! Im so thankful I have found Dr. Appel and his staff. I also took my family as well because they are just the best dentist office and we feel extremely comfortable and confident that they are doing what needs to get done to have a healthy mouth and smile. This review is from a person that had many different dentist visits and issues since childhood and went to different dentists and oral surgeons in and out of town and was just not getting the right treatment. Dr. Appel thank you and your staff for taking care of my family and I and all of your other patients the way that you do !!!

Great customer service and great experience. They were friendly from the time I walked in until I left. They were very knowledgeable and practical. They didn't overwhelm with worst case scenarios but laid all the best options on the table for me to choose. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable . I will definitely recommend them to others

Humble Dentistry is awesome from check-in to when I was called back. Annette is God sent we talked like I've been knowing her for years Annette and Dr. Appel explains everything step by step on my procedure I will enjoy my new home at Humble Dentistry so when the mask comes off everyone can see my beautiful smile.

If I can give this place a hundred stars I would! From the amazing front staff, to the wonderful dental hygienist and assistants, to the extraordinary Dr thank you! They listen , take time to go over everything in details. They ask if you are uncomfortable so they can make you feel better. They make sure you are very well taken care of. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a new dentist! Oh, did I forget, they give you a cute new tumbler great for ice tea or ice coffee. This place is astonishing.

I have had traumatic experiences at the dentist office in the past. So much that I refuse to go. Today I had an took a chance and tried a new dentist at Humble Dentistry. Dr Appel was absolutely wonderful. Now let's forget the fact he has a very calming and soothing voice that put you to ease, he is amazingly thorough. This was the first time I have experienced an exam such as this. From checking every tooth to evaluating one's smile and sinuses. If this review offered an option of more than five stars he would get the max. In addition, the staff was so professional and welcoming. I would recommend any and everyone to see this dentist. His bedside manner and ability to communicate is remarkable. Being an observant nurse you tend to notice many things. This is why I wrote this review. I am still flabbergasted and undoubtedly will be returning to this practice.

I loved this dental office! From Norma at the front desk to Yanet the dental hygienist to Dr. Appel, everyone was so friendly. They are also all super knowledgeable, made sure I was comfortable, and made the whole process simple. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Appel and his staff are thorough, patient and kind. My children were very much at ease through the whole process of taking x-rays, teeth cleaning and examination. I have been a patient for several years now and have found him to be trustworthy. I appreciate the way he gives his analysis of what services he recommends while taking into account their associated costs.

I wanted to know which was the best dentistry in Humble and Humble Dentistry was the best fit for.me and what I wanted. They make you feel very comfortable and confident in their professionalism.. I am looking forward to my next visit to see where we go from there. I highly recommend for anyone that is scared or nervous about going to the dentist, don't be because they have your best interest.
