Dr. Cameron Hulse grew up in Southern Orange County, California. While in his own orthodontic treatment in high school, Dr. Hulse realized how much his new smile changed him and decided he wanted to improve others teeth and smiles. Dr. Hulse pursued his dream and completed a BS in Zoology at Brigham Young University. Then he was selected to attend the University of Southern Californias prestigious School of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S.. After Dental School, he switched coasts and completed his orthodontic residency at Jacksonville University where he received his CAGS.
As an orthodontist it is only natural that Dr. Hulse loves to make people smile. Being the oldest of 6 kids, Dr. Hulse knows how to relate to every child and adult in a fun, yet caring way. He is very personable and treats every patient as if they are part of his family. Intense study has allowed Dr. Hulse to become one of Californias leading orthodontists. Beyond the exceptional skills and his seeking for perfection in every case, he is intent on making sure patients enjoy their journey through orthodontic treatment (definitely not your average orthodontist).
Dr. Hulse is a resident of Carlsbad and is constantly supporting our youth programs from basketball to band to scouts. He has donated thousands of dollars to our local schools and youth programs. Dr. Hulse feels it is a privilege to be associated with such great patients and their families here in Carlsbad. Dr. Hulse belongs to many dental organizations. Dr. Hulse is constantly learning so that he can provide thebest possible careto his patients. He attends continuing education courses frequently to stay current on the newest techniques and latest advances in orthodontics.
Dr. Kelsey has been practicing orthodontics for over 25 years, and has extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults. A seasoned expert in the industry, he spent 18 years as an orthodontic professor teaching orthodontic resident students at the University of Illinois Chicago.
Dr. Kelsey takes great pride in providing comforting, personalized care while giving patients the amazing smiles they deserve. He is an avid fan of college sports, especially Michigan State basketball! In his free time, you can find him enjoying a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, paddle boarding, and golf.

From the moment we walked in and from the moment we walked out, we knew that this was the place our daughter was going to have her orthodontic care at! My daughter even asked if we could go there after having a consultation and we had visited two other places and knew this was it! The staff was absolutely incredible! Every visit was amazing and they always treated us as family! I honestly can't praise Hulse Orthodontics enough! They are absolutely phenomenal and now my daughter has the best teeth and smile around! Thank you Hulse and Staff for everything that you do!!!

Dr. Hulse is the best Orthodontist around. My kids have been going to him for at least ten years. He is kind, honest and absolutely spot on with his care. He takes care of every child like they are his own. I highly recommend him!

Dr Hulse and his team are the most wonderful and accommodating people and I couldn't recommend an orthodontist more. Between the kindness of the staff, to the convenience of being able to text the team, to even how beautiful the office is, you're in such good hands here. They are the definition of customer service and it is why they have such raving fans. From the moment you park you will see that the smallest details have not been missed. The building is pristine and every staff member is not only attentive from the moment you walk in, but they all have smiles on their faces. In their office, kindness matters. My nine year old just finished getting his lower braces on. We had to wait for the upper teeth to get straightened first. He had one tooth that was so crooked that he would split his lip often playing around and it seemed like there would be no way to make that tooth fit in with the rest of his teeth. Dr. Hulse did just that and they are beautiful!! His brothers that had to come to most visits CHEERED when they heard we had to take their brother to the orthodontist (mini arcade)- again, no details were missed in this experience. Looking forward to working with them in the future.
