Dr. Daniel Hughes, a native of the Hoosier state of Indiana, earned his dental degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hughes began his dental career in Leo, IN where he and his wife, Debbie, raised two children and together built his family dental practice. His son, Brad, has taken over the Leo office. Board certified in both Indiana and South Carolina and a member of the ADA and SCDA, Dr. Hughes has experience in all phases of dentistry and welcomes the opportunity to care for residents of the greater Okatie community. Dr. Hughes is proud to practice dentistry in Okatie. He and his staff welcome you to the Hughes Dental Group.
Dr. Bradley Hughes is a third generation dentist, proudly following in his father and grandfathers footsteps and has been providing excellent dentistry for over 12 years. He is a graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry in Bloomington.
Dr. Hughes is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association and Isaac Knapp District Dental Association. He is also a member of the Doring Implant Study Club and stays on top of the latest technologies in dentistry. Dr. Hughes grew up in Leo and is proud to serve the residents of our community.

It boils down to charges, we bought their plan and then when we used it we were told my husbands cleanings aren't covered because he was a period patient. Talked with them about it, but they wouldn't budge.

This was a 'routine' visit for cleaning+. Lauren is very courteous, gentle, thorough and highly professional. Her service is provided with ample cordiality during the time scheduled (VERY PUNCTUAL - no time wasted waiting for service.)

I had to change dentist because of an insurance issue. I contacted the Hughes dental group and they said unquestionably they would take care of the insurance submitting the claim and accepting what the insurance company's paid. During the first visit they did the routine cleaning and examination and it seemed so much more thorough than with other dentists I've had. The dental technician was very thorough and knowledgeable, a true professional. When Dr. Hughes came in for the exam, he's very friendly, upbeat person and again very thorough in his explanations of possible work that might be needed. I have returned for that additional work and have experienced the same high level of thoroughness and professional expertise.

One usually doesn't look forward to a dental appointment, but the wonderful combination of friendliness and professionalism provided by Hughes Dental Group makes a real difference. They provide excellent and thorough cleaning and check-ups, and the two fillings I had last fall were pain free. Additionally, the practice's offer of a yearly family plan also makes payment less painful , and helps ensure we don't skip regular visits.

I have been a patient at Hughes Dental Group since 2015. It has always been a pleasure dealing with the entire team @ this office. The atmosphere is always professional, calming & efficient. The office is always clean. Doctors Dan & Brad are the best. They are always patient explaining procedures & answering questions. My hygienist Lauren is tops; always gentle & leaving my teeth feeling great.Lindsey @ the front desk is always accommodating especially with emergency appointments & explaining billing & insurance issues. If you are looking for a dental practice that truly cares about it's patients you need to search no further.
