Dr. Hughes has deep roots here in The Woodlands. He and his wife, Jennie, grew up in The Woodlands and both are graduates of McCullough High School. It has been his long-term goal to return to The Woodlands to raise a family and build an orthodontic practice serving the community.
Upon graduating, Dr. Hughes attended The University of Texas at Austin where he achieved his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Zoology. In 1995, Dr. Hughes attended Dental School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Upon completing his dental training, he was accepted at The University of Texas Houston Health Science Center where he completed his Residency and achieved his Certificate of Orthodontics in June of 2001.
Dr. Hughes and his wife are proud to have made The Woodlands their home once again. Today, they have three beautiful boys, Hayden, Hudson, and Henry. Their family and the practice are longtime dreams come true and are thrilled that their boys will have the pleasure of growing up in a real hometown. The Hughes family love being very involved in this great community and strive to make it a beautiful place to live and work. In his free time, Dr. Hughes enjoys traveling, hunting, UT football, and watching his boys sporting activities.
Professional affiliations include the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society, The American Association of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, The Texas Dental Association, and The Brazos Valley Dental Association.
Dr. Cozad and his wife Sara grew up in the Houston area. After high school, he attended Baylor University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to attend dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he was recognized at graduation as the most outstanding student in his dental class. He was excited to return home to Houston for his residency at The University of Texas and earned his Certificate of Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Cozad is a published orthodontic researcher and part-time faculty member at The University of Texas School of Dentistry. He is also board certified by The American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Cozad and his wife have two sons named Winston and Truman. They have made Spring their home and are happy to serve their local community alongside Dr. Hughes and the excellent office staff. When he isnt at the office, Dr. Cozad enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is an experienced woodworker and an avid Lego builder.

Dr. Lee grew up in Pearland near the Houston area. After high school, he attended the University of San Diego and earned his BA in Biology while playing water polo. He then attended Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. After completing his dental training, he was accepted at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education where he completed his residency and achieved his Masters in Dentistry and Certificate of Orthodontics. He is board certified by The American Board of Orthodontists.
Dr. Lee is excited to be back in the Houston area to provide excellent care alongside Dr. Hughes, Dr. Cozad, and their incredible team. Outside the office, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling, surfing, practicing yoga, and hiking with his dogs.

Amazing Service. The staff is extremely friendly and you will most certainly feel at home here. Not to mention that the orthodontists know exactly what they are doing. As long as you do what they tell you to, you will be in and out of braces in no time. I am very satisfied with my brand new looking teeth and this orthopedic office. Would recommend to anyone.

We love Dr Hughes office! My third child to be treated by Dr Hughes just got her braces off. Her smile and bite look beautiful. The staff is always friendly and works so well with your schedule. I would highly recommend them for any Orthodontist needs!

This is by far the best Orthodontist practice in town! The entire staff made my experience amazing from day 1 and never did I have any issues through the entire process of having my braces on. Make sure to ask for Leisha when you're there, she rocks! She really made me feel comfortable and actually cared about my progress each visit. I never had to worry about a thing! If I could give a 10 Star rating I would! Thanks guys!!

I can not say enough about this place. Super clean environment. The techs and doctors truly care, are personable, and funny. I'm nosey and like to watch them work, and they dont mind. We never waited past our appointment times, and this was a huge plus for us! my son only has about 6 weeks left and we couldn't be happier with the results

I highly recommend Hughes and Cozad. I transferred in after having my braces (as an adult) already for about 14 months when I moved from out of state. I checked out a couple of different places online before my initial consult. From scheduling, reception, patient advocacy, finance, dental technicians, to the dentist - everyone I have come in contact with has been so friendly and wonderful to work with. At my consult I was disappointed to learn my treatment was going to take longer and be more costly than I had imagined. Dr. Cozad took the time to confer with my former orthodontist about my case and develop a treatment plan that shaved off a few months. Dr. Cozad did not have to do that, but it is clear he really cares. Ms. Sheila is so sweet and followed up with me after the call to share the news. Additionally, I want to sincerely thank Jamie for her help with our insured and supporting me with taking a shot at a claim to cover some of the costs. I know the insurer wanted tons of information and there was some back and forth, but because of Jamie's diligence it appears the insurance company will cover part. Even if it doesn't, I'm grateful that she even tried. There are so many wonderful people at Hughes & Cozad, I would mention everyone by name but my memory is faulty. I'm so happy to be a patient.

We have had all 4 kids as patients at Hughes and Cozad Orthodontics. I have been pleased with the outcome of their smiles! The doctors and staff are especially personable and professional. The location is perfectly situated between home and school. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for orthodontic treatment.
