Dr. Hughes has deep roots here in The Woodlands. He and his wife, Jennie, grew up in The Woodlands and both are graduates of McCullough High School. It has been his long-term goal to return to The Woodlands to raise a family and build an orthodontic practice serving the community.
Upon graduating, Dr. Hughes attended The University of Texas at Austin where he achieved his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Zoology. In 1995, Dr. Hughes attended Dental School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Upon completing his dental training, he was accepted at The University of Texas Houston Health Science Center where he completed his Residency and achieved his Certificate of Orthodontics in June of 2001.
Dr. Hughes and his wife are proud to have made The Woodlands their home once again. Today, they have three beautiful boys, Hayden, Hudson, and Henry. Their family and the practice are longtime dreams come true and are thrilled that their boys will have the pleasure of growing up in a real hometown. The Hughes family love being very involved in this great community and strive to make it a beautiful place to live and work. In his free time, Dr. Hughes enjoys traveling, hunting, UT football, and watching his boys sporting activities.
Professional affiliations include the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society, The American Association of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, The Texas Dental Association, and The Brazos Valley Dental Association.
Dr. Cozad and his wife Sara grew up in the Houston area. After high school, he attended Baylor University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to attend dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he was recognized at graduation as the most outstanding student in his dental class. He was excited to return home to Houston for his residency at The University of Texas and earned his Certificate of Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Cozad is a published orthodontic researcher and part-time faculty member at The University of Texas School of Dentistry. He is also board certified by The American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Cozad and his wife have two sons named Winston and Truman. They have made Spring their home and are happy to serve their local community alongside Dr. Hughes and the excellent office staff. When he isnt at the office, Dr. Cozad enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is an experienced woodworker and an avid Lego builder.

Dr. Lee grew up in Pearland near the Houston area. After high school, he attended the University of San Diego and earned his BA in Biology while playing water polo. He then attended Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. After completing his dental training, he was accepted at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education where he completed his residency and achieved his Masters in Dentistry and Certificate of Orthodontics. He is board certified by The American Board of Orthodontists.
Dr. Lee is excited to be back in the Houston area to provide excellent care alongside Dr. Hughes, Dr. Cozad, and their incredible team. Outside the office, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling, surfing, practicing yoga, and hiking with his dogs.

They make getting braces so easy! From the start, it was a simple consultation to getting the braces on and off. Also, the wait times are very short!

I really loved walking into Huges & Cozad in Spring; the facility is nice and the staff even nicer. I took my daughter for an exam and consultation for braces; the imaging and results were so well explained and easy to see the long term process/end result. Brooke, the coordinator, was a real gem and blessing. She went over everything with us and was honest/upfront with all that is involved as well as what my insurance allows - I had no idea if it wasn't for her! If these guys are in network with your insurance or you're looking for HREAT care from beginning to end, go see Huges & Cozad!!

Everyone was very kind and friendly at my daughter's consultation. She was a bit nervous but everyone made her feel very comfortable. X-rays and scans were done first in the office, then we sat down with Dr. Cozad to figure out what would work best. Very happy with our first visit, thank you!

The staff was amazing and they go out of their way to make having braces a fun experience. And also, they respect your time and never keep you waiting for your appointment. They always greeted me with a smile, too.

Great experience with Hughes and Cozad. Always felt welcome and all three of my kids who have been patients felt comfortable. And now here with my youngest and she is so excited after watching her older siblings go through the process.

It has been a wonderful experience having my daughter's braces treatment at Hughes & Cozad. Doctor Cozad is very patient and every time he explain everything in a very simple words and his assistant Jeneffer is wonderful and very kind. Jeneffer always tried to do everything less painful for my daughter. We will be coming back when is my son's turn to get braces. I highly recommend Hughes & Cozad for your kid's braces treatment.
