Here at Huggins Dental, our desire is to provide you with the best dental experience in the upstate. We achieve this through a combination of exceptional customer service and excellent clinical dentistry. More specifically, when you come in, you will be given the opportunity to chose from a variety of options off of our comfort menu. This will us cater specifically to your needs and desires. Also, all of our treatment rooms have the ability to be private. This means you do not have to hear about what is going on in the room next door and vise versa. You can have your own space while you are visiting with us in our office.

Doctors Zack and Elizabeth Huggins met in 2011 in dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Shortly after meeting, they both realized that studying was not the only thing ontheir minds. They married inJune 2012 and graduatedtogether in May 2015.

The Huggins are a family of five with one boy and two beautiful girls. They enjoy hanging out in downtown Greenville and Travelers Rest and biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail. They can also be found exploring the mountains and waterfalls of the upstate and hanging out with family and friends. The Huggins love the Lord and strive to serve Him with their lives and with their practice.

Doctors Zack and Elizabeth Huggins decided to start Huggins Dental to serve the people of upstate South Carolina. Afterworking inseveral practices afterdental school, it was clear to the them that in order to have the most technologically advanced practice and provide the most comfortable andconsistent care to their patients, they needed to start their own practice. That is exactly what they did!

Dr. Zack Huggins was born and raised in Orangeburg, SC. He went to the University of South Carolina where he graduated with honors in May 2011. He then immediately started dental in June 2011 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Huggins excelled in the classroom and the clinic and received the award for Best Clinician at graduation. While in dental school, he received the Health Professions Scholarship with the United Sates Air Force.

Upon graduation in 2015, Dr. Huggins was accepted to a 1 year Advanced General Dentistry residency at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. There he graduated with exceptional marks for clinical skills and efficiency. He learned advanced procedures such as IV sedation, wisdom teeth removal, implant placement and restoration, and CAD/CAM (same day crown) technology. This led to him being the only graduating resident chosen to assist in building and launching the new dental clinic at Buckley Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado.

For the next 3 years, Dr. Huggins launched the Buckley Dental Clinic and served active duty military from all branches of the United States as well as International Armed Forces. He was quoted by his commanding officer as an Innovative Pace-setter and a Brilliant Clinician/Natural Leader.

Dr. Elizabeth Appleby Huggins was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science from Clemson University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Health Science and a minor in Spanish. After Clemson, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

After dental school, Dr. Huggins had the opportunity to live and practice in both Florida and Colorado before returning home to South Carolina. She is forever grateful to the United States Air Force for the journey it provided for her and her family. She was able to work in a number of private dental practices across the country with amazing mentors and dental teams. Through this experience, she gained invaluable clinical knowledge as well as best practices for running a dental office. Dr. Huggins truly enjoys treating patients of all ages, including little ones! She has treated children throughout her dental career and is passionate about teaching them good dental habits early in life.

Dr. Huggins has also been on several dental mission trips and desires to use her dental skills to serve those in need both locally and abroad. She has traveled to Nicaragua, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

When not at the dental office, you will find Dr. Huggins hanging out with her family either at home or around town. She and her husband have three kids and love going on family hikes or bike rides on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. They love Greenville and feel privileged to live in such a beautiful city.

Alyssa will be one of the first smiles you meet when you come into our office! She grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and later earned her degree in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University. Since then, she has lived all across the country from Pensacola, FL to Seattle, WA, gaining experience in both marketing and communications. A new opportunity presented itself here in the Upstate and she drove across the country from Seattle with all of her belongings one week before Huggins Dental opened happily joining the team from the very beginning. She will be happy to assist you in understanding your financial obligation with your treatment plan, understanding your insurance benefits, and discussing payment options. When Alyssa is not at the office, she enjoys hiking and exploring the area with her dog Heidi, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Genarria was born and raised in Williston, SC. After graduating high school in 2013, she attended Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. She earned both an Associate in Science degree in 2015 and her Dental Hygiene Degree in 2018. While attending the hygiene program, Genarria served as the MTC Student Hygiene Association Secretary for the year of 2016-2017. She has been an active part of the dental field in the Upstate area since becoming licensed in hygiene. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Infiltration Anesthesia, and Nitrous-Oxide Monitoring. She enjoys reading, shopping, and outdoor adventures.

Originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, Becca decided that she wanted to be a dental hygienist atage 15. She began her dental journey in the United States Air Force in 1999. While living in San Antonio and Austin, she enjoyed dental assisting, dental hygiene, and honor guard duties at Randolph AFB. After serving four years in Texas, she was able to feed her love for travel while stationed overseas at RAF Lakenheath,England.Becca moved to Greenville in 2008 while pursuing her degree in Dental Hygiene and shortly after met her husband Billy. Together, they love to spend time camping and traveling with their pets. Living near downtown Greenville gives them the opportunity to enjoy local theater and dining.Beccas passion for oral health education is easy to see. She loves to offer the best tips and tricks to help each patient reach their optimal oral and systemichealth.

Christy is an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant that graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2003. Throughout her years in dental, her favorite thing is to see patients smile. She is a bit of a jokester which helps keep the mood light and comfortable. It is most important for her to ensure that patients leave with confidence, knowledge and the feel of a family environment. Christy strives to make sure that your visit with us is a comfortable one that will make you feel at ease. While not at the office, Christy enjoys spending weekends with her husband Mark to whom she has been married to since 2018. Together, they have two fur children Bebe and Riggs who love going on trail walks and Jeep Rides! Christy looks forward to meeting you and getting to know you through your dental journey!

Mary graduated in 2018 from Athens Technical College as a Certified Dental Assistant and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. In December of 2021 Mary also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Georgia. Mary moved to from Georgia to Greenville and began working at Huggins Dental in August of 2021. Wherever Mary goes she tries to bring a positive attitude. Marys favorite thing about working in the dental field is the wonderful smiles and the interpersonal relationships that are formed. When Mary is not at the office you can catch her traveling the world, crafting, and playing with her birds!

Ariel grew up in the Greenville area and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Liberty University in 2008. She has been a practicing nurse for the last 13 years and loves working with people. She has always had a passion for skin care and facial aesthetics and loves combining her nursing background with aesthetics to help clients achieve their goals. Ariel received her training from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is certified in Botox and fillers. She loves working with and getting to know her clients individually and helping them feel comfortable with these procedures. She believes that everyone is perfectly unique and wants to help them feel comfortable and knowledgeable throughout the process! Ariel is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have 2 daughters. In her free time, Ariel enjoys just being outside with her family & friends, reading, having quality conversations over a good cup of coffee, and exploring local shops & restaurants!
