Dr. Tom Huerter received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from theDental School of Creighton Universityin 1978. In 1980, he completed his postgraduate orthodontic residency atSt. Louis Universityin St. Louis, Missouri. Since then he has maintained a specialty orthodontic practice inOmaha.
Dr. Tom is one of three EliteInvisalignProviders in the Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri region. He attends numerous continuing education courses each year, enabling him to provide the best care for his patients with state of the art treatment and office facilities.
Serving his community, he is active in Christ the King Church, United Catholic Social Services, Sacred Heart Cues, United Way, Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Hot Shops, Child Savings Institute, Creighton University and Buena Vista University. Dr. Tom holds active memberships in numerous professional organizations such as the Omaha District Dental Society, Nebraska Dental Association, American Dental Association, Nebraska Society of Orthodontists and theAmerican Association of Orthodontists.
While maintaining a cutting edge, yet fun and friendly office, Dr. Tom is committed to providing the highest quality for his patients. Nothing makes him happier than seeing his patients proudly displaying their new smiles after the orthodontic appliances have been removed, knowing their teeth can be healthy for a lifetime.
If you know Dr. Tom, you know he is all about family, having five children, nine brothers and sisters and 31 nieces and nephews. He also is an avid reader, enjoys painting, traveling, collecting art, coaching Little League baseball and CYO Youth basketball and (using the term loosely) playing golf.

Friendly and caring! Amazing work. Doesn't allow for unfinished work. Love this place and would recommend them to everyone for kid to adult!

Went to get a second opinion on my sons options for braces, & walked out with one of the greatest experiences in recent memory. From the information I was given, to the easy finance options provided, to the human interaction that felt as genuine as it gets. I was BLOWN away. Truly thankful to be having my sons braces & orthodontics in their capable hands.

I love Dr Huerter & staff. They are very inviting. I never have a long wait to get back. They explain treatment to me and also payment options. Thank you staff for helping me achieve a better smile. I have recommended friends & family.

Very happy with the experience we are having with Huerter Orthodontics. Everyone in the staff has been so helpful and nice. Dr. Huerter is so knowledgeable and experienced in Orthodontics. My kids teeth are looking great.

Dr Tom and his entire staff are second to none. I am a dentist here in Omaha and both of my daughters are having their ortho done by Dr Huerter. Omaha luckily has several good orthodontists to choose from. The reason I chose Dr Huerter over the others is because of the quality of person he is. He is an exceptional human being and his staff are just as good as he is. They genuinely care about their patients. I look forward to taking my daughters to their appointments because he and the staff make myself and my daughters feel comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend Dr Huerter and his staff.
