Dr. Park is a Graduate of New York University dental school, one of the best in the country. He has been a dentist for years and has been through several post Graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his DDS degree.

I visited Dr. Park for a routine check up and possibly deep cleaning. Instead, he, out of blue, scared the $*#* out of me and told me that I need to do an "IMPLANT" for "FOUR of my front teeth" because he said they've become too loose and eventually come off as a result of using aligners for my orthodontics procedure!!! I was of course devastated by the news however I decided to speak to my orthodontist first and also got a second opinion from one of my friends who is a tenure-track assistant professor and radiologist and dentist. After speaking to them and taking X-rays and examinations they all told me that there's absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth and they are going to be fine for years to come!! Thank goodness I decided to get a second opinion. However, if you visited Dr. Park, I strongly recommend that you do yourself a favor and get a second opinion as I did before agreeing to do whatever absolutely "needless" and "super expensive" operations he recommends. You will thank me later!!

I blame myself for believing Dr. Park's diagnosis and not seeking out a second opinion. He told me I needed 4 root canals and made a big deal out of it that if I didn't do it I would loose my teeth. I was tired of trying out dentists in Newark and believed him and made the biggest mistake. I gave him more than $3200 out of pocket and they charged insurance $6000. What I received was constant pain, crowns that are coming off constantly and the misreable feeling that I lost 4 teeth. I am seeing another dentist and an endodontist in Cranford now just for fixing this problem. The result of their joint diagnosis and all the 3D X-rays was that: 1. Dr. Park did not fill the canals in one of the teeth at all, I saw the X-ray myself. 2. There were broken instrument in one of the teeth. 3. The crowns were too small and did not cover the teeth at all. I am regularly seeing the endodontist for repeating the root canal because as my new dentist says a general dentist should not do the root canal. The amount of time, energy and money that I am spending on fixing Dr. Park's doings is of course enormous but does not come close to how miserable I have felt in the last year. I didn't need to do root canal, they were simple fillings. Dr. Park did a cold test and I had a sharp pain on my teeth and he told me people normally don't have this pain. However, my new dentist says of course you will have sharp pain upon cold test but it is the lingering pain that shows a problem, not a pain that goes away. And, my pain was not lingering. So, I urge you to seek a second opinion if you hear something from Dr. Park that even remotely does not make sense.

I was a patient for years until a very bad experience. Dr. Park recommended a serious proceedure (removing front teeth, root canals and getting a bridge). This was devastating news to me, but I trusted his professional opinion. Just to be safe, I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion. As far as treatment goes, I decided on an alternate option and kept all my teeth. The worse part was not the diagnosis, teeth removal, bridge... But instead it was how his office handled the billing. One week after the diagnosis, i spoke to his adminstrative staff and cancelled all future treatments and appointments. Two weeks later I got a payment booklet for $15K from the lending bank for the treatment. Long story short, I sent 5 emails over the course of 2 months, voicemails and other calls to have the Dentist office return the money to the bank so the loan could be closed. The administrative staff nearly ruined my credit and caused me a lot more pain than just toothaches.
