Stefanie is also one of our hygienists, and she grew up in Grand Junction. She went to dental hygiene school in Rangely and graduated in 2009. After school, she stayed in Rangely and commuted to Roosevelt to work for 9 years and lived on a ranch that she loved. She has 2 boys that are the light of her life. She loves spending her time with them doing any and all activities. Stefanie loves cooking, crafting and spending time outdoors. She moved back to Grand Junction in June 2018 and started working at Hudson Family Dental shortly after. She enjoys cleaning peoples teeth and helping them with their oral health.

The team at Hudson Family Dental believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.

It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

Understanding the importance of these regular dental exams, the staff at Hudson Family Dental work to make each patient extremely comfortable. This includes being welcoming and kind while performing dental treatments in a way that is painless and relaxing. Patients visit our dentist office because they trust us to do just that take care of their teeth and gums, gently. The majority of our patients are local and come from the greater Grand Junction area, we also see patients that are looking for gentle dental care.

Seniors, on the other hand, often struggle with gum disease and oral infections. As people age, their teeth can become weaker and infected more easily. Bone loss is incredibly common with seniors and by conducting regular dental exams, the team at Hudson Family Dental can help seniors to have strong teeth and reduce the risk of them falling out. Since over seventy percent of U.S. adults suffer from tooth loss, preventative care is important.

A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.

A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.

A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.

A. Have your family dentist evaluate the fluoride level of your child's primary source of drinking water. If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may prescribe fluoride supplements.

A. Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.

A. There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

A knocked-out tooth, broken teeth and severe toothaches are few common conditions that may necessitate a visit to an emergency dentistry office. Since such dental issues do not heal on their own, patients must seek professional treatment immediately, despite the lockdown caused by the coronavirus. It can be hard to discern if a condition is

The care was good but it took them over a year to bill me for basic care despite multiple calls. Then double billed me.

If you want a dentist who is arrogant, full of himself, surprise billing 1-2 mos AFTER your appointment, charges for services NOT rendered or recieved, someone to extract a tooth out of your 11 yr old son during which the kid is repeatedly being poked with needles because the numbing kept wearing off, and after 2 hours decides he "can't do it." I was a patient of this practice for 28 yrs! Dr. Hudson took the practice over when my original dentist retired. I have had nothing but what is described above since he took over the practice. Most recently received a bill just last week, showing "past due". It has been 5 mos since anyone has had a visit. Come to find out, they billed my insurance for something they didn't even do at the appointment! When insurance refused to pay, they sent me a past due notice! It even says in the patient chart that this service was declined when it was offered, but they tried to bill my insurance AND me for it! Folks if you are looking for a fraud of a dentist. Dr. Hudson is your man!

I'm terrified of the dentist, but Dr. Hudson makes everything so easy and painless. He genuinely cares about his patients and I completely trust him with my dental work. He uses a laser to remove cavities and you don't even need to be numb for the procedure. Everyone in the office is very friendly & I'm happy that I've found a great dentist.

"Dr" Hudson is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. He will try to scam you and tell you that you need stuff that you don't. I heard him bullying 2 other people besides me. I would suggest going anywhere else

Horrible I went in on an inital visit in January waited in the chair for an hour and a half to see the dentist. Then they scheduled me for a month and a half later for a cleaning went in on time and they had no appointment set up even though I had the appointment card they had given me. I was then told I would have to wait a month but that they get cancelations all the time. I never heard anything so I went for my 3rd time they said they would then need to run it through my insurance before they could do any work. It is now almost September and never heard anything back. Lets just say I found a new dentist.

My youngest daughter is petrified of needles and this dentist and Dental Assistant did a wonderful job filling her cavities with laser technology. The Assistant was very kind to us and is a hard worker. They were quick to answer any billing questions and called me back the same day. Best dentist I have ever been to.

This office is outstanding!!! From the moment I walked in the front door the office staff was very welcoming and on top of everything from greeting me, getting all of my information that was needed, and explain to me how my appointment was going to go. The hygienists and assistants were all so great and kind and really made me feel welcome, even the assistants that were not helping me on that specific day. Dr. Hudson himself was AWESOME! He was very helpful and very educated while also being funny and gentle. My family and I will be staying with this office forever!!!
