Dr. Chiminelli graduated with honors from the University of Toronto in 1988 and did his Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. He ran Dental Department at Baycrest Hospital and taught in the Oral Medicine Department at the University of Toronto for six years. In 1994 he moved to the Hudson Valley, and has been practicing in Hudson for over 26 years. As a commitment to clinical excellence, he is always attending continuing education courses and incorporating new and better procedures into the practice.
Dr. Chiminelli is also an award winning Professional Photographer whose work can be found in Galleries in the Hudson Valley, Cape Cod, and Bar Harbor Maine. He is currently working on a children's book and a fine art book on Cape Cod. His photo of Death Valley was selected to be on the National Parks Pass in 2006. Dr. Chiminelli is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, cycling, downhill and cross country skiing, and sea kayaking with his wife and daughter. He can also be found at various music venues in the Hudson Valley where he sings and plays guitar, mandolin and ukulele.
Dr. Callahan was raised in Kinderhook and is very excited to return to the area and become part of the community. Prior to his career in dentistry, Dr. Callahan was a software engineer. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Boston University and worked in research and development as a programmer and as a consultant in California.
Wanting more personal interaction from his career, and wishing to serve his community, Dr. Callahan found a blend between engineering and health care in Dentistry. Dr. Callahan earned his DMD from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. After graduation he attended UMass Medical Centers Dental Residency Program where he focused on care for the underserved as well as Emergency Care. When he is not in the office, Dan enjoys cycling, tennis, skiing and spending time with his wife.

I've been going to this office since I moved here 20 years ago. I have a large number of 50+ year old fillings. Dr. Chiminelli always explains what he recommends, including "watchful waiting" which I greatly appreciate. A few years ago he suggested a simple and reasonably priced procedure that so improved my smile, I'm grateful every day..

I am a 65 year old man. Dr Chiminelli is and will remain my dentist as long as I'm alive (even if I move to another state!). Given the great care Dr. Chiminelli takes care of me and my teeth that should be for a long time. Good dental care can improve and support a healthy body as long as you eat right and exercise. Dr Chiminelli is on my team of great health care providers to make sure I enjoy a long and healthy life. I will not use anyone else to take care of my teeth. It's my body and I want the best. I know going to the dentist is rarely a fun experience, but I recommend steering clear of this place. First, Dr. Chiminelli touched my mouth with his bare, ungloved hand. The hygienist dropped a tool on the ground and tried to continue using it. I was also told that I had 8 cavities and needed to schedule 3 follow up appointments to get them filled, but that didn't feel right to me so I decided to go get a second opinion. I just found out today that I actually only have one singular cavity. That was all during my initial appointment, (just x-rays and a consult) which should have been a good indication that I shouldn't return for the cleaning, but I did anyway. This hygienist was very nice, but she didn't really seem to adhere to any protocol either in regards to cleanliness. She touched her face while wearing gloves and put her glasses on/took them off then continued to touch my mouth. I obviously should have left, but I think I was a little too taken aback. I realize there aren't many different options in Hudson, as this was one of the only places I was able to find that accepted my insurance, but I'd advise you to maybe expand your radius a little bit if you can. I also don't want to hurt anybody's business, but this sort of stuff is pretty inexcusable.

Dr. Chiminelli has been my primary dentist for years and I have nothing but the upmost confidence in his work. He's gentle and fully transparent about what needs to be done before any procedure begins so you will never feel like you are in the dark. I currently live over an hour away from the office but after seeing Dr. Chiminelli I never want to go anywhere else. For anyone looking for a new dentist, Dr. Chiminelli is a great choice and he has an immense amount of experience. I have nothing but positive things to say about his practice.
