Dr. Michael Messana attended Fairleigh Dickinson University's undergraduate six-year Accelerated Dental Program. While at Fairleigh Dickinson, he became President of the Tri-Beta Biological Society and President of the Pre-Professional Society. He made Dean's List and Who's Who in American Colleges for 1987. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology, Summa Cum Laude.
After college, he attended Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. College of Dental Medicine's Graduate program (1987-1989) where he was elected to represent the university in the American Student Dental Association. Upon closure of FDU's College of Dental Medicine, he transferred to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. Upon receiving a degree in 1991, he was inducted into the distinguished Omega Kappa Upsilon Honors Society.
Following Dental School, he attended New York University's Post Graduate Program in Orthodontics. He was elected Class President during his last year in the program, and received his Certificate in Orthodontics in July of 1993. Dr. Messana stayed in New York to attend Bellevue Hospital's one year Orthognathic Fellowship for orthodontists, during which time he received a Certificate of Fellowship in 1994. He is currently a member of the A.A.O., the A.D.A., the N.J.D.A., both trustee and Past President of the Hudson County Dental Society, and Past President of the New Jersey Dental Association.
For her graduate studies, she attended Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. College of Dental Medicine, became class President in her third year, and transferred to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. She received her D.M.D. in May of 1991.
